Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Synda - you Do Not look old to me!!!!! lol

Peanut Butter fudge? hmmmm bet it has lots of salt? Watching bob's salt intake... :-/

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Congratulations LK! So adorable. Herman's an old name that exudes wisdom.

Pegi, your old pc's processor is too slow to keep up with the demands of the programs and especially games. Hope you find a new one soon so you could have some enjoyment!

Send some pb fudge this way Ronna!! I'm not much into baking lately but I'm sure Marion's DD, Kim has some easy recipes.

Susan, there are some unsalted peanut butter on the shelves now, you can find them easily at health food stores.

Today is a beautiful day, but it won't be like this next week. We're expecting snow.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Weather is a yo yo here too Jaye. Supposed to be 77 today, and wed. only 40.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You take care LK. Drink lots of hot tea, add cinnamon stick to them and that will help ease your sinus problems too. This terrible swing also affects our moods.
By the way, seriously LK.. I so do hope Todd will release you to join us in April.
But I remember when you've said the plans are so close to his plans.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Hope you are feeling better Linda. I've been having sinus issues too and we have so much snow on the ground that I can't figure out why.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am feeling much better. Thanks.
Well... beside the sore knee from falling last night. I was out trying to see where the smoke was coming from. I started in the front yard and walked around the house to the backyard. Saw that the new neighbors just fired up the bbq. So I was headed to the back door and tripped in a hole Blackie dug and hit my knee on the concrete steps. Smacked my knee pretty good and skinned both hands. I just took another hot shower and feel better than early this morning. But still sore.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Ow Ow Ow! Linda, try to rest that knee as much as possible today. If any swelling, use a cold compress or rice bag on it, if not swollen use heat to help speed healing. I hate falling and always seem to pick on my poor knees. Still sore and swollen from clumsyness New Years in TN.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

OMG Linda!!! Now you need to just sit and let that knee heal. I have been very lucky in that I haven't taken a fall in a long time. Knock wood. Hope you are better quickly....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It is quite swollen. I am not moving much and I am sitting here with ice packs.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Awe....that is a shame. I was going to use a different word but thought I'd better not!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Don't overdo it LK. That belly dancing lessons can wait :) Hugs sistah.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

No skiing either!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lol Barb!! Don't think there's snow where LK's at! So.. no water skiing LK!

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Morning everyone.
Thanks Sue, think I'll post that on my FB. Awesome message.
Hope your knee is doing better LK. I feel for you sistah.
An ice storm heading this way, don't think there'd be any bread left on the grocery shelves!
So much for Monday morning. No other good news to share, at least that's the only bad news!!
I can't wait to put on flip flops!!!!! Since we're getting a longer winter, looks like it will be in May when we'll see some constant warmth.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Went to thrift store today, nothing there, friends didn't show up, but when we were leaving a young man took a lot of big boxes out of his trunk and threw them in the trash bins. Of course, I had to see if anything was in the boxes. One large box was heavy and inside was a pretty ceramic pot with some dying mother's tongue in it. The pot and plant came home with me. Just in time as the trash truck was just pulling into the lot. Made out better in the trash than I did in the store. Weather is in the 60's and I can live with that as long as the sun comes out too. Knee is feeling better from the fall I took in the kitchen and left thumb is really sore. LK, my knees aches just hearing about you falling on yours. I recall all the times I was roller skating on sidewalks and falling down when I was a kid. I usually spent the summers with scabby knees.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Geesh, what is it with everyone falling? Hope your feeling better soon!

Good score on the plant.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Judy! Hope you have a great day!

happy birthday judy

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Birthday from here too Judy....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good day sistahs!
I like dumpster diving too, Pegi!! But the community here is so poor that when they get rid of something, you can bet they're meant for the trash pile.
Hope my sistahs are keeping warm. No snow, praise God, but cold and rains and ADVIL to my rescue.

Happy Birthday Injun Sistah!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Slow cold day. It's dropping to the 20s and I don't know how my 'snow' sistahs manage.
All I do is eat.. eat.. eat!!!
Been keeping my mouth occupied with celery stalks, soon I'll have leaves coming out of my armpits!! Lol!!
Kel was called to work early, so that the guys he's replacing can leave early before the weather gets worse.
As I said days ago, the good thing about living close to a new prison, is we're on thesame grid. If the power's interrupted, we'd be the first to get it back.

Looks like my sistahs are conserving energy.. don't do nothing that might cause your body to lose some warmth!

See you all in the a.m. Hope this ice storm won't harm my sistahs.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh, jaye, cold, cold, and cold. I havent fallen yet, but my poor coworker did a couple days ago she was so gimpy. For a couple days. :( poor lady.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ronna be careful maneuvering your tiny body!! It won't take much to knock you off balance especially dealing with ice and sleet!!

Kel's crazy cousin just announced on FB that Dollar General in our town has restocked bread and tied a cow to a post.. hooked up to a milking machine!!! Lolol!!
Yep.. that's how crazy this town is. Snow announcement and the bread and milk will be sold out within seconds.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It reached 32 today and tomorrow is supposed to be 65. Crazy weather for sure.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

What you are getting today Jaye, hits me tomorrow. They are not sure yet if I will get 3" of ice or 12" of snow. We are on the ice/snow line .

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure hope you don't get that ice Barb.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Me too Barb.. sure hope you get the back side of 'Pax', so it would be tolerable.
http://www.weather.com/video/up-to-18-inches-of-snow-for-northeast-44428?.

We've been very fortunate, just freezing rains. A county an hour's drive away received 8 inches of snow yesterday, causing a major disruption to normal routines. At least schools closings were announced a day ahead.
Kel said fortunately the prison he worked in is state of the art, high security prison, for only a third of the guards reported for duty. Many lived in that affected county.

We are all so ready for spring!
