Field peas are small little peas that taste much better than black eyed peas, LK.
I'm seeing the dentist first thing in the morning. Gonna be an experience, he will be working on two front teeth and said he'd try not to give me any pain.

Today I heard from Alice, that the hospital will see about Mom getting into a Care Home, but they expect it will take awhile and that Mom will pass before then. They're saying "weeks, not months" for her.
Also, the decision has been made to give up Mom's apartment in the senior's residence because as the Dr says "she'll never be able to return to it".
So, they'll take Mom's furniture to Alice's until they find out for sure if Mom gets into a care home that needs furniture, and then if not - will distribute it or sell it, depending on the situation.

Had a sweet thing happen today...... one of the Garden Committee members for the committee I'm on, brought some beef to us today - it's frozen. They'd bought a quarter beef, and are sharing it with us. Beef in the freezer! Now, with the chickens (2) and the turkey (1) we have, we're covered for frozen food! No fish, but we're sooooooo good with what we have.

Yes, I am truly blessed here, in Calgary, with some very good friends. It took awhile for us to get them recognized, but they are "here" for us.

Here's some good news, btw - my knee...... the one I got the cortisone shot in..... is FINALLY showing improvement and strength! I'm a little tenuous on it yet, but it started to feel better last night!! woo hooooo! I couldn't believe the sensation of strength in it! It's been almost 3 years since I injured it, and 13 days since the shot, so I thought it just Wasn't "taking". There are some for whom the cortisone does not work... really thought I was one. The Dr said I would start feeling the effect in 3 to 4 days........... and 13 days later....... oh well, at least it finally "took"!!!!!

Yes, some people seem to love their Magalite. Not I though. Just my opinion. Carry on.

I have a computer question. Seems I have picked up a virus, and it is called jcsdrivetickets. I found a place on the web that told me how to get rid of it, but it still gives me pop ups on just about every page i click on. Any suggestions?

Sounds like that might be a scam Linda. Download AVG free and Malwarebytes.

They are both free and safe to use. Let them both run and it should clear it up for you.

Malwarebytes does a great job for me.....

I run them both on the advice of my tech. Each does a slightly different job. AVG can be set up to run on a schedule too.

Another good one is CCleaner run it once a month or so to clean things up so it all runs better.

Thanks everyone, I installed the malware and it took over an hour to scan everything, and it found 88 bad files.
No more pop ups! Wonder why my avast did not catch these things?

A chilly 37 this morning but love it....so does Bobbi Sox. I do believe there are 6 of that cat...everywhere I look there is a black and white streak running though the house.

LK, Jaye is right about the field peas. That could also be a southern term for them, not sure. They can be found in the frozen section as Jaye stated and they are really good....provided you like that type food.

Brown like black eyed peas.....actually they are the fresh black eyed peas with some snaps (green pieces) with them. When we would gather them from the garden we called them field peas; dried they were black eyed peas.

Always good to get information about computer, thanks. I got a call the other day from Windows Services and they said I had "errors" & "warnings". Try to understand that Indian, but finally talked to someone I could understand. Wanted to have a tech clear it up. Told him I wasn't paying for anything and he said my hard drive would crash and never could use computer again. Sorry, just don't have any money and after a few "discussions" he finally hung up. Now, don't know if I have to worry about this or not. Didn't know malwarebytes was free, think I was scammed about 6 months ago. And now we wonder why we have trust issues.

Pegi , I get those calls also. They are scams ! glad you didn't do anything. I always mess with them and then i tell them i have an Apple computer and they hang up LOL

It is so sad they way we are being harassed by scam calls these days. What is it with people that they would rather scam someone than do an honest job. Sad statement for where we have evolved to. Of course that is my opinion only.

Sue, the back door is open but we are barely up to 40 at this time. Still that is better than 18 and no snow...bright cold sunshine.

Thanks for that explanation on field peas. I don't know they are black eyed peas junior? No wonder they taste better than the 'adults'. I use the dry ones too. Rehydrate them first of course. ALways thought the snaps included were snap beans!!! Lolol!

Both Malwarebytes and AVG have pay for versions as well as the free versions. The pay for versions will do more but I'm satisfied with the free versions. Be sure you select the free versions when downloading. Anything that pops up is most likely a scam, as is phone calls.

Well the pop ups are back. Waiting for my son to call me to figure it out.

I know what you mean by the computer or phone correcting the type. I sent a text to my daughter about my dad the other day. His last name is baker but it spent basket. Lol. She laughed so hard. Hope everyone is doing good. I have another low eeded day at work. Am really starting to look for another job even part time. Gggrrr..... really do not want to change jobs

I had fillings done LK, and more to do. Needed this done years ago, but you all know our financial condition then. Dentist was kind, he said I did a good job at cleaning, but being diabetic..

Today I have a very severe attack on my sinuses or is it allergy? Heater was on last night, and all of a sudden it got too hot in the bedroom. I had to turn the ac on, and I'm paying for it big time now. My left eye hurts and weeps at the same time. My nose runs.. and I just took some Robitussin.

Ronna, basket has more letters than baker, and not even phoenetically similar!! Lol!! Now basket can ryhme with bastard. Well. Ronna, I hope today will be a Good day at work for you.

I'll look into that link Barb when my vision is back to normal!
