Sending my condolences as well Betty. ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) to you and the family!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends old&new
Betty, I'm sad for you losing someone so special to you, but I'm also happy for Jim. He is not suffering now, so please be at peace with knowing that.
I'm worried about your Mom as well. is she all alone at Sharon's?
Just spoke to mom, they have hydro right now
My brother Mike and his wife will try to pick mom up so that they can get to Bethel Huse for his leaving ceremony!
Wow ended up into a conversation I didn't want to get into
Ended up calmly telling her after she went on and on about Sharon and Michael a few things I'm sure she didn't want to hear..so glad a call came in for her or likely we might never tal again
I kept saying it was a time for mourning, a time to move forward and what happened 40-30-29-19 and present had to be put in the past..
She especially was upset as Kim told her just how much she hurt Mike at Thanksgiving, told her I could well understand his feelings because I was upset for weeks after she left..
Not nice, not a good time, maybe much needed though..maybe the tears I'm having will be clensing tears
"M" you would not believe the weather right now
Didn't get out for kitty food, so glad I had bought some treats, they will have to fill themselves up on that
Guess I should go put garbage at the road, one from last week is somewhere there under the snow bank
Still wondering about tomorrow morning's appt..will call Barrie hospital and see if they would rather I cancel as likely I will not get in for my X-rays in midland..can't see them unless I have them
Coffee time..anyone have nerve meds
Joyce, Sharon had her daughter Nikki go spend the night with her..at 18 not very compassionate but it was someone in the house with her.
What a bitter woman, hard to deal with when it's the entire human race against her
Oh Betty I'm so sorry you have to deal with this when you are already so sad. Please know I'm sending cyber hugs, love and prayers your way.
Sorry she is not taking this very well. Maybe it is for the best no one can get to her right now! She needs time to mourn, and get things sorted out in her mind.
((((((((((((((Betty)))))))))))))))))
I am so sorry to Hear of Jim's passing.
...also sorry to hear of the argument going on. I sure hope things will get settled down.
Bless Sharon and You.
Ohhh, this crazy weather.
Susan, Awe, i sure hope you have a safe trip and your visit will be good. How wonderful all your neighbors and friends are doing for you and Bob, You've always helped others in need and now they are coming to your aid. Always so nice to see.
Oh Susan I meant to say YAY!!!
Betty, so glad your Niece was with mom,
Sounds like you have really been patient with all the variations of conversation going on.
I hope that strength continues. It's so unfortunate that all the wickedness comes out during such a hard time.
Praying hard that Mom sees how hard everyone has band together for Jim and her.
Just Know, you and your family will reamain in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending hugs Betty, so hard to loose....but to understand Jim is no longer in pain is a gift.
After meeting Jim twice, I truly know what a gift he was to your family and this world. Right now, Mama Fran is going to lash out to anyone she can.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all, stay safe.
Debbie
Thank you kindly for your words
Know we always say what a wonderful, kind, loving person he was and not always the case but with Jim he truly was a gentleman, filled with love and kindness..
Greg and Jeff just called wanting to kow what they can do for me...there is nothing except to stay off the roads
Complete white outs here
Oh Betty - I so wish I were there so you would not be alone right now. But I must admit, sometimes when I am in sad times, all I want is to be left alone with my own thoughts. It is the only way I can remain calm and come to grips with the situation. Only then can I start to mend. Sending prayers for you and all your family.
Sorry to hear of Jim's passing but relieved his suffering is over. Sad that times like this bring out the worst in some people. I'm kind of relieved you are alone and wish you could selectively disconnect your phone.
Big hugs for you, Sharon, your Mom and the rest of the family. Hold each other as much as you can and let the bitterness blow by you. Remember Jim's love and caring and know that is what he would want - and do.
Chilly morning here - for here!! Above freezing, clear and blue weather. Wish I could send some to all of you who have snow and cold. I'm still waiting on pain meds but got some schizandra supplements which have already helped. I'm amazed and happy. I'm still in some pain but much less. They aren't supposed to work this fast but they seem to be just what my aching body needed. Got them from a company called Lucindra, if anyone is interested. I've tried so many herbal/vitamin supplements I was skeptical but they seem to be helping.
More t-shirs to sort today. If I keep at it I should be able to finish today and have Tony put the boxes back in the storage unit tomorrow. One task done, many to go.
big hugs to all of you. Stay warm and safe. As Ellen says at the end of her show, "Be kind to one another." katie
Betty, you are in my heart and prayers. Bless you.
I am fine, crying from time to time but that is to be expected
Boys call to check up on me but Rita is here, she has been downstairs, guess to give me quiet time, besides I have all of you, my precious friends here holding my. Hand and supporting me
Sharon has had her hands full, posted about 1/2 hr ago the following
"hard, mom came in ran to the room then started he smiled at her, his eyes were looking at her. Then he was moving his tongue trying to talk to her"
Wonderful the meds are working Katie..
Do wish I was enjoying sunshine there with you
This weather will make us appreciate the coming of spring more, when does it come again?? Lol
Do you store the t-shirts in bins? Know you have problems with rodents
Yep, human mandate, be kind to each other
Sometimes I wonder if I missed that chapter
So glad your not home alone...
Katie, felt really bad about the bites. Happy you found something to soothe the pain.
Oh boy am I ready for Spring!!
Lol, but not really about the garbage pick up. We too are buried under frozen tundra.
Wind factor brings us to -25. Schools closed, work for breenie is closed.
Took Steve 2 hours to get downtown today. Anyhow, no pick up until the hydraulics can work on the garbage trucks! Yikes i sure hope it isnt a giant mess on the curbside by thr time it gets picked up...
Just trying to make idle blab..
Marion, yikes worried about you and Thunder...I hope you are equipped for this weather.
Sure hope everyone is safe and warm!! I havent been out since saturday.
Don't think this storm has missed many of us Judy..
Bet you are thrilled that there was no need to go out today.
You must worry with Steve downtown knowing he has a long ride home..could he perhaps stay there..if he is in the Hancock building what a view of the storm he has..great place to get marooned also...restaurants easily available..encourage him to do so.
Still enjoying being unemployed?
I made potatoe soup, Rita reminded me she made a soup yesterday that we hadn't eaten yet so guess today is soup day. She will shortly go next door and pick a few things..our garbage collection won't happen until this Saturday I was told.
There is a garbage bin next door, a plowman has been out digging it out from snow mounds, as he pushes snow towards me I'm hearing my big pines snap so I asked for him to do something other than damaging my trees..am sure it's not intentional , doesn't have many options but I sure don't want to lose my trees
Paining, too much sitting past few days..told Rita I would take meds, go downstairs and take all the Christmas fabric out of totes and take inventory so I know what I have just to keep myself busy..did 2 turns on the quilt last night before getting the call, could do another row or two. OR I could just cover myself up and watch a movie and perhaps have a nap
You could probably use a good nap...maybe eat soup, a good full, warm belly might help make you drowsey.
Yes worry about Steve driving. Dont think he can stay put this time, forgot to ask about visiblity...dont think there is any!
Well, yikes sure hope your trees werent harmed.
Oh by the way. Linda kay, I was really glad to hear Kathy is feeling so much better! What a relief.
Betty, roflol yes enjoying unemployment for now...still lots to be done around here...still taking Christmas decorations. Tree is down since it fell over for a third time, grr hate when that happens, so now its on the deck, very pretty covered in snow.
Judy, we are fine at our house. The heat strips have come on which doesn't happen very often but thankful that we have them when needed. Just unusual for this type of weather but then I think that applies to all here. Wearing my sweats so this household is fine.
My sister who lives further south is having to use some space heaters as she doesn't have the heat strips on her unit .....really doesn't need one that far south.
Stay warm, be safe.

Betty, that looks cold!
Judy, that is really cold, please don't go out unless you have too!
Glad that even though you are both chilled you aren't struggling to keep warm.
Have to look up 'heat strips'
-39 right now with wind factor
Rita said she almost froze just going to store next door.
So glad Marion...
yikes Betty, thats its been here for the last 3 days...
Rita is brave. The kid wanted to go in the hot tub yesterday
Wanted to know if i thought he was nuts, said no cuz he wasnt going in!
We argued for a minute and then he stompped off into his room!
Lol his idea of retaliation run around in his trunks all day.
Not to worry Linda kay, Im staying put. Glad the kids are too.
are you staying warm too...uhh, your turn lol.
Here is just a pretty sight, was telling Liz about it the other day.
Oh and waiving to Moonbeam! Glad your feeling better.
Beautiful picture Judy. Glad to hear you are staying put in the house. Me too. I haven't been out since Christmas eve.....
Love the photo Judy..nicest time to be in a hot tub is when it's snowing and blowing. Lol
Kyle left the house snowmobiling, didn't make it very far, called Greg to come help..Greg was not happy..too much snow for snowmobilers
Bet I'd make a mint if I had some of those neckwarmers with deerhyde made
Note to self, make a dozen or so
Told Rita I should be doing something but can't settle in hmmm I have 4 no sew fleece kits in my car
Maybe I will seek out and get them
Are you getting rattled being housebound Barb
Marion, did Kim have to go back to school today?
We're on a warming trend here. It's up to 13! yay!
We talked about canceling garden club tonight, but decided to go ahead with it. We're doing "Zentangle". Should be fun....
Glad your able to still have it Joyce, is zen tangle doing the little trees?
Hiya .. lotsa gabbin happening ^_^
Still freezing our tushies off here in the north .. like Betty we are in the DEEP freeze ( -32 ) BUT, we haven't the snow .
Went to the gym this morning, it's across the hwy from our airport, coming out of the club at about 11am, a WestJet flight came in, HOLY COW .. what a screaming noise it made as it landed! You KNOW it's cold when that happens !
Many flights from Toronto to Thunder Bay have been cancelled due to the storm down east.
Betty, do be careful .. Rita too ..
Am hittin the shower, then getting some creative thinking going in so far as supper is concerned !
Take care
~M~
Betty, I just got done making big pot of potato soup also. Definitely must be comfort food/soup day. DH won't be happy...but he can have something else.
Lots of hugs,
Betty you said " human mandate, be kind to each other
Sometimes I wonder if I missed that chapter"
You are the most kind and giving person I know. I know we haven't met
but feel like I know you.
Amen to that. kb
Yes,Kim went back to work today but the students don't come until tomorrow. Thank goodness for that as I am sure she is not working at full speed after staying up so late to watch the football game.
The group on the floor where her room is had a potluck lunch today....the newest teacher to the group (male Spanish teacher) was grilling (yes the have grill available to use at the school) for all the ladies. He said he was so grateful that they had excepted him so well and made him an honorary member of the lunch bunch. Kim was requested to bring a cake...chocolate at that. She tried a new recipe she saw on FB and has sent me an email that is is really, really good!!!
Potato soup? When is dinner Debbie? I love potato soup but alas we are having left over beef stew and biscuits. My family requested that yesterday so it really will be left overs.
Stay warm all and please, please be safe. Currently 25 degrees on my back deck. That just isn't right for Florida.
"M"' these kind ladies, Internet family are gabbing and keeping me company, sure am thankful.
Liz, hope you know you brought a tear to my eyes, perhaps more than one?
Feeling down and you warmed my heart.
Storm at this point is intensifying, sure hope anyone without a home has found shelter.
Rita keeps coming upstairs and says looking out the window, omg, omg! Comment of the day.
Forget if I've said mom called, mike was making his way getting them something to eat then he had to go to funeral home..she sounded a tad more with it and no signs she was angry after words were spoken this morning
Debbie, am a lazy one, my potatoe soup was that bought at the Christmas tree store but it sure is good..just add a few pieces apof bacon
I'm chilled hot bath might help
Well getting crazy here in TN. DGS, wife and baby are facing eviction due to loss of income. Only help we can give right now is to take them home with us, which we are willing to do. Renting a small truck is more than we planned on spending right now. Plus his mom is pissed because they are moving, however, is not willing to render any assistance even though she has the room. I know I'm the one she's blaming but oh well. We're trying to schedule heading home by the week-end.
Always some kind of family hoohaa going on.
Karen, so glad you are able to help..Am sure you will enjoy having them with you until employment is found..don't leave while the weather is so bad...
Looks like we have the warmest temp. It is 50 here this afternoon. Making sloppy Joes and coleslaw for dinner.
I've already told them both, we can give them a home but we cannot support them. They have to look diligently for work right away. We will take care of Amelia, oh darn, but they must contribute to expenses. They also are taking some bills with them that need to be seen to. I love them much but they must be adults and help themselves too.
Karen, they will go a long way with your guidance and help! Means you will be giving up on dreams you thought you could follow, takes great strength to put them aside!
LindaKay, no wonder you have great temps you sent us these storms
Wonder how it is Texas weather has such an impact on ours. Yummy supper you are cooking up..not hungry, maybe I'll go in in search ofcereal
