Sweet Interruptions Christmas 275

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Funny what those furry ones will consume!
Our dogs get stockings too with tennis balls and bones.

Jaye, my nails are fake. My real nails are thin and brittle, they break so easy. I got tired of them breaking and tearing down past the quick, so I have had fake nails for more than a year.

Same here Linda, I started 11 years ago and am hooked. Heck I've worn the same color for the past 2 years. Only time I did different was two years ago at Christmas I found a pretty true red and wore it for two weeks. That was my one flight of fancy.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well my toenails are real. :-) No fingernails....:-(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

You need to be adventurous Karen! I change colors every two weeks when I get them filled.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Straight jackets and Prozac!!! Marion you are responsible for a liquid film on my monitor!!!
I remember your sexy painted toes, Marion! Lolol.........now do the same for Bobby Sox!

My nails are tough LK. Many had asked whether they're real. They never used to be like that until my heart surgery. Even my hair has lost it's brittleness. Guess I'm getting good blood flow.

Nope Karen, don't see the need for fake nails, and I enjoy giving myself my own manicure.
I am very careful with the cuticles.
Sticking to the reds here or purple once in a while. Kel's begging me to get cobalt blue..

Calm down Sis. Since Michael's ignoring all your pleas, there's nothing you can do. Like Marion says, it's a Man Thang!!

i only mani and pedi's if i m doing something special. Then i get the press on kind and take them off the next day LOL
books are about my life and jessica's based on true events but with a fictional twist.
woman is haunted by her daughters ghost. Based on their relationship when she was living and how it is the same with death. They struggle with the same relationship . Will go back and forth from past to present.
second book is the second year mostly about me and how i have changed. I hope to give 50 Shades of Grey competition . Yes you heard me right sistah's .
Tim will be the villian LOL . :) a husband who rejects his wife , he controls her by denying her love, compassion and physical affection and intamacy. his cruel rejections are his cruel ways he " gets off " and feels powerful over her. He enjoys her misery.
so does it sound like a pretty good story line ??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap, it sure does! Hey Sue, if my ex BIL can write a book then I am sure you can. I haven't read his book but from the comments when my sister edited it....it must be something. For one thing, he has never read a romance novel in his life...then writes one.

Why a liquid film on your computer Jaye.....I didn't do anything!

Got to go wake sleepy head up or she won't sleep tonight. Kim came in exhausted today....semester testing with over loaded classes.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I think medicare should have a dental plan for us seniors. I need work done, but a year ago I had to have a cap on one of my front teeth and $450 puts a strain on the bank account.

Staying up until all hours of the morning watching movies on Hallmark channel. Never should have got myself addicted to it. One right after another and they all are so good.

So much snow for some and very warm here. DH is feeling pretty good, hope he stays that way. He just gets tired out if he has to walk around very much. Eating good, but so many things he doesn't want to eat. I used to make spaghetti a lot, but he says it all tastes like starch to him. Having dry mouth so much so is trying the Biotene mouth wash and hope it works like they claim.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, no children or grands. I only have my brother remaining in our family.

We lived in CA for years. DH has a brother still there and one near Las Vegas. Also a sister a few hours north of here in KY.

Thanks for asking. :)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

For some reason, Pegi... the Hallmark Channel kept deleting itself off from 'my favorites' menu. Hmm.. I be thinking Kel doesn't want me to be addicted to those shows. Humbug!! Lol!! No more football soon and I'll be not requiring the sports channel.. so shall return to Hallmark!
You're right about the dental health care. I can never find a reasonable dentist.. there's one that offers free service once a month, but it's a 2 hr. drive and the line starts at 4 in the morning!!

Yours is indeed a very small family Carole. You've never mentioned any kids, but I thought I'd ask.
My family in Singapore up to now, has been begging me to return as all are worried that me, having no kids nor siblings around, won't have any reliable caretakers. It's an Asian thing which is good, and its hard to convince them that there's no cause for worries after reading so much bad stories on senior care.
I have a BFF living in Tn., and she's in the same boat too. We made a promise to each other that when our husbands are gone, we'd live together.

Popular plots there Sue. Now it's all a matter of being in the mood to write!

Bones are aching this morning. Blessed thing that I don't have neighbours as I'll be wearing warm pjs all day!! Nope, no curlers in hair, you can avoid that mental image.

Today is keep my hands active day! Not the legs. Just the hands and fingers. Will be on pc checking out crochet patterns and the most strenous thing I'll be doing will be cooking for sleeping beauty.

Have a terrific Wednesday sistahs.

hand my nails paint red like Christmas foil. all shiny and bright. mine are fake too

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy, how is your back doing? And how is Gadget after swallowing that pin?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Hi people - just wanted to let you know I'm still here..... in spirit anyway :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Susan. Has Bob heard anything about that job?

Ladies, don't forget tonight is prayer night.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

no, he hasn't heard about the job..... although I neighbours have hired him to do their snow clearing @ $120/month. It's going to be a very snowy year, I can tell - we've got another huge dump of the soft powdery stuff again today.... at least the temperatures aren't bad, but it's windy

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my back is painful.
good news, gadget didn't swallow the pin, I found it under the bed

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, that is good news about the pin!
Sure hope your back gets better soon!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey there Susan!
Some extra money is nice, thank God! I'm sure Bob looks forward to cups of hot cocoa after shovelling snow. We'll keep on keeping you in our daily prayers sistah.

I have another prayer request. It's for my ex' nephew's youngest son. Grayson is scheduled for a heart 'shock' treatment in New Orleans, to get his heart beating regular. He is 8 years old, and not too long ago, they found his heart is beating way too fast. I don't know much about this phenomena. Nothing like this exist in both families' lines.
Thanks sistahs.

That's a big relief, no injury to Gidget's stomach!
Back pain can cause a damper to your spirits Sis Kathy. You and I need a new body!!

A brother in Singapore decided to treat all the Singapore nieces and nephews to a second holiday in Australia. It's warm there now.
My sister in France was pretty upset, as her kids weren't offered. Out of sight, out of mind.. that must be it.
It's not fair to me, and those kids will remember what their uncle did. This brother isn't on talking terms with me, since I denounced Islam. Moreover, as long as he's good to SOME family.. I shan't intervene.
Wish I'm rich enough to give her kids a grand vacation in the Alps since they love to ski!

Come on April!

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Same thing with me, Jaye. I have a lovely friend in Indiana and we've talked about getting together, moving closer to each other, or even sharing housing when the time comes. She only has one child but he was raised by his grandparents and is a bit distant.

I will pray for Grayson. I believe he will be just fine.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks Carole!
I'm transported right now to a stadium in Florida where you might be!!
Thought LeBron James might sit this one out. Guess he didn't trust his team to win without him.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Saying prayers for Grayson also Jaye.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Missed it, Jaye. I fell asleep very early. Guess I needed it. DH rarely sleeps through the night anymore so, of course, neither do I. I fit it in when I can. :)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I prayed for all of you last night at 9 PM but I must tell you I pray for all of you every night!! I always feel like I'm reaching out a hand when I pray and I hope you can tell.....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Same things happens here Barb. I think the absolutely best gift I have ever had was meeting all of you via the internet and now counting you as part of my extended family.

Jaye, did I miss something? Transported to a stadium in Florida?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Barb, I so totally agree about all the sistahs here.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's a joy for me too all my sistahs here... to be able to say, I need you all, in companionship, in support, and especially in prayers.
I try to stick to a schedule of morning devotions, and when other things demand my attention, the evenings will do.
Our Father knows what we need, even before we asked, but it's much better when 2 or 3 are in agreement on what we are praying for.

Carole you've missed a great game. Heat won in the last minute, by 3. Pacers played a great game, I thought they'd run away with it, until the 4th quarter.
Of course, catch all the sleep and rest when you can. You got it rough, not having any help.
I'm glad that you have some 'sweet interruptions' now and then. God looks out for you.

Lol Marion.. you got it now? Was watching Indiana Pacers duke it out with Miami Heat. If I were there physically, I'll be at your back door this morning!

Flies, flies, flies.. out on the back porch!!! Yes, the heat has returned and these flies are feasting on what's left of kitties' last night dinner!!
Arrrgggghhhh............ can't stand them. But I did let the potted plants out to enjoy the brief summer.
Don't worry sistahs, my legs weren't in pain today. Thank God. Only 6 baby pots that are in my living room. The bigger ones, in Kel's workshed, they'll never be moved.

Mexican pizza for sleeping beauty and back to tofu for me!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

froze last nite praying, the church was in the local supermarket parking lot, singing carols and the teens put on a play. but I was praying with and for all my sistahs

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks Sis Kathy.
But, I'm gonna fuss at you. Jesus would want His sick children to stay indoors!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning sistahs.
Couldn't sleep, stayed up all night reading and thank God, I can return to bed later since I've already cooked!

Another warm day, hoping my sistahs up in snow states and Canada will have tolerable weather.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Yes, He does watch out for us. My devotions time is usually sometime in the middle of the night when I'm awakened. Makes good use of what could be wasted time.

It is already 60° here and supposed to be 70° tomorrow. Very unusual for this time of year. But I like it.

Enjoyed Alan and Allison. They make a great country duo. :)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope you get a nap in today Jaye, loved that video!
It is 55 here, supposed to be 75 today!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Hope TN holds on to that mild weather until I can enjoy some of it. Really need a break from this cold.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

55 here to. gonna be I the 70's all weekend with sever storms

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

70s and supposedly headed higher. Mother Nature sure must have PMS this year.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Just calling for rains here, Sis. Think we're getting them from you.

Lol Marion.. years of messing up the environment has certainly angered Mother Nature!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my amaryllis are beautiful.
vey, very humid here

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy, those are beautiful.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful indeed!!! I meant to get one while I was out today and I forgot!! Boohoo! Also wanted to try some Paper Whites too.
Our temp went above 35 today for the first time in almost three weeks. So I got to do a bit of shopping. Tomorrow the freezing rain begins.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pretty Sis. Are they Apple Blossoms? No blooming Amaryllis yet, but if the weather stays moderately cool like this, there might be some bulbs sprouting outside.

That's great Barb. Hope the rains is only for a short while.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Nothing much to say, but what I'm about to post means a lot to me.

Thank you for being my sistah.
