Hope your feeling better soon Barb. Seems to be that time of year for everyone to get sick.
Sweet Interruptions Christmas 275
good afternoon.
mri came back normal, so i am going for pain blockers
Glad the mri came back normal.. Hope the pain blockers help!
Hello from 5 degree cold Ohio.. Yikes!!!
Oh, that is too old! Stay warm Cookie!
Kathy, glad the MRI came back normal. Good luck on the pain blockers.
Pegi, let me know if you could decipher the code!! Lolol!! By the way, there's an uninvited gremlin in my house that tend to hide pocket size stuffs.. like remote controls... keys..
Marion, I want some of that invisible ink too! That would have Kel playing for hours.
Did you brave the rains and had a great time at the Christmas concert? Not like you to miss an oppurtinity to be with your grandkids unless the weather advisory board bids all to stay home.
Miss you all yesterday. But, I realllllllllllllllllly don't know what happened to my words!!!
Did fine on FB but not here, till this morning when Kel reboot EVERYTHING.
It's cold here.. feels like December but blessed me, it's not snowing yet. Poor Sue and Cookie. Five degrees is too much for me!!
Did you borrow that movie, Sue? I haven't seen it yet. I'm a big kid when it comes to Anderson's fairy tales.
Sis Kathy, I'm glad the MRI comes out clear! Big relief there! Don't want any invasive surgery for you.
LK, those Christmas mice are adorable!!! There you go, always expanding your skills. So proud of you!
Am I regally 'screwed' today. Wanted to do some thrift store shopping.... but like Barb here, I'm down with a bug. Got to be this yo yo weather we're having.
Light rice soups and Kel will have to settle with frozen pizza.
Oops, lost you. Lovely trees, Jaye.
Happy Holidays, ya'll. :)
Carole waving back here!!!
There you are. Hope your feeling better soon Jaye!
Yes, indeed I did brave the winds, rains had stopped, and went to the concert. I almost didn't go all the way when I realized it was on the 22nd floor of the Capitol building. Oh well, there were 2 priest and the Bishop of this Diocese going up in the elevator with me so I thought it would be okay.
Really nice program and the surprise even to my DIL was there were beautiful buffet tables with all manner of finger sandwiches, fruits, cheese and crackers and drinks for those that attended. Even had waiters walking around with trays of goodies. To bad it wasn't better publicized as it was very nice.
My DIL had another commitment today so I took her place working at the Homeless Shelter. Must say I really enjoyed it. Students from the 6 and 7th grades were brought to help prepare the plates plus an array of professors from FSU were there.
On the way home my car died and my son had to come and use some "Elmers glue and bubble gum" so I could get home. Appears the alternator wire was lose and killed the battery. Something like that. Anyways, home, tired but feel good about today.

Get that car fixed soon Marion, hope you were not stranded too long?
Sounds like the school knows how to throw a party! Come on now Marion, a ride to the 22nd floor isn't bad compared to a plane ride!
Ain't that wonderful, a McGyver in the family. Did Charles have the glue and gum on him?
I am home LK and he said he will repair the car for me.......worked as mechanic to put himself through college. So it will be repaired but I will have to wait for him to work on it during his spare time. He really thinks if the battery does hold the charge, that all I will need is a new battery. Simple fix.
Why yes he did Jaye. LOL He actually tightened the cables for the alternator and substituted my batttery with one from his hunting boat.
I think the Diocoses may have paid for the food. This program also was in conjunction with meeting they were having here in Tallahassee.
Glad it is a simple fix Marion!
You are so blessed Marion. You too LK. YOu both have men that can tinker on autos.
Kel's thing is appliances.
Anything auto related, he'd have to google it.
Prayer night sisters. Please include my ex SIL in your prayers. She's in deep depression having to stay in a nursing home.
Thanks.
Raining right now, perfect weather for my rice porridge too!
Will add her to our prayers Jaye.
She was in mine last night as well as all of you here.
It is bitterly cold here this morning and only going to get worse. In the house I stay!!!!! I feel so bad for my nephew and his wife. For 14 years he taught at a university is Mississippi and then this year got a new job and tenure in Indiana!!! Imagine trying to get used to the cold for the two of them!!!!!!
That is a change for sure!
Don't know who is responsible for sending this wonderful cooler weather but I sure do thank you. You could have kept the drizzle rain though. I know, beggers can't be choosy. :-)
Well since I am grounded, I think I will make the best of the day getting some Christmas feeling into this house, work on some gifts and just be a lady of leisure.....not that I am not anyways. Actually you might say a lazy lady.
wish someone would send som warmth this way
Wish I had some warm weather to send your way, it is a very cold and windy right now.
The high for toady has just been reached.....22*!! Don't think you would want any of that!
Well I am off for San Antonio. Babysitting for Andy, for their first anniversary. I will be back tomorrow afternoon. Getting some Grandma time as well as hitting hobby lobby and Joan's.
Oh wow! A triple score.
Hope all of you in the cold are finding way to keep warm.
Talked to my youngest this morning. All I could do to keep from crying. Realized this will be our first Christmas without any kids.. very depressing. We will go to see Levi, and all of his beautiful girls a few days after Christmas. Kyle will join us a few days later. It is going to be very hard to leave...
Sending hugs ♥♥♥
Christmas will find us home alone, but a few days later we will be in the midst of our family and that's when our Christmas will begin.
Another adorable little princess, can never have too many.
I love seeing all the pics of the grandbabies..... so sweet!
We'll have 3 friends over for Christmas dinner, but it's the same every year, no family cuz they're in Winnipeg! ah well, we have friends that we dearly love :-)
Two things - we found a fraudulent charge on WalMart - likely should have been $42.50, but it came out on our bank statement (online) as $425.00!! We've got the bank investigating it. may take 2 weeks.
The other thing - Bob got a call from a Gov't agency, and they've sent him to a company that's looking for workers! Bob's gone to the company, and I hope he'll get an interview :-) He's been gone awhile, so that's a good thing..........
The company that laid him off in June is starting to re-hire the people they laid off (after the flood...), but they told Bob "if you find another job, don't turn it down while waiting for us"...... same old story, eh? he's 63...........
anyway, let's hope it's good news today :-)
hello everyone
Yep single digits today brrrrr. Car said 2 degrees !! thank goodness it was a sunny day and no wind. Snow on the way saturday.
Marion thank god for bubble gum and glue. My best friend is duct tape LOL glad the car was an easy fix
adorable little cutie thunder
hey Cookie what you doing next week ??? wanna do lunch ? and a mall ? i m so far behind on christmas , don't even have a tree up yet .
i forgot to go to lowes and order carpet. uhg:(
do that tomorrow.
stay warm everyone
I'm sending some warm weather to everyone, hope it gets there soon. It warms up here then cools down then warms up again.
DH spent about 5 hours working on the gas leak in the van. I'm so surprised he was out working on it so long, must be feeling better. Of course, he has to keep on taking his pain pills. Our son helped him, usually they never agree on what to do. PSA came down a little now hope it stays that way through this month without treatment.
Praying that Bob gets the.job. My son has been out of work so long I think he forgot how to do any thing. I keep on sending his resume out for him, but no answers back.
Gas leaks are not fun. Hope he gets it fixed soon.
Glad to hear his PSA levels are down.
Bob went and put in an application, and they interviewed him. Said they'd know next week if there was a position for him.
Will keep that on our prayers.
Me too Susan....
Found just what you need Jaye.

Good morning. All is right with the world again...I have my car back. Indeed the cable for the alternator was not connected correctly and it killed it. All son asked for in return is to make a meatloaf for him. Such an easy thing for me.
Karen, you have so gotten me in trouble with that link. That is what I need for this new kitten and definitely what my sister needs with her cats. Hummm, to bad we all aren't closer, we could have a "cat" party and make trees. :-0
LOL Nope no cats here. I do love GGS's Ducky though, I would do it for him.
well bad news.
Another school shooting in Colorado. The student is deceased by self inflicted gunshot. My god what is it with Colorado ? ! one day short of the Newport anniversary. I m very heart sick about this. So sad the young person couldn't get help and this was his only solution ??
* sigh* is this our new normal ?
Where is everyone??? Couldn't believe no one had posted yet. Thought I must have lost the thread!
This house was trying to get some sleep. Kim was up and gone by 6:30 as she is proctoring the ACT for 7th graders today.
Okay dear friends and Sistahs, how many will come to my aid when I attack the next door neighbor? He was hammering, sawing and yelling until after 2 this morning. Huge spot lights on his house as they are trying to get the remodeling (looks more like building a complete new house) ASAP. But really? There is a time to stop working as most people are trying to sleep. Arrrghhhhhhhhhhh!!
Off to Abbigail's birthday party in a little while, so every be safe and stay warm.
