In the process of making lasagna, doing laundry and then going to try and get more done outside, just so cold is all ..

Our local hospital has a video about hand washing, there are lil kids doing the video, all dressed up like lab techs, it won an award .. will attach it for your smile of the day ^_^

Thinking if we have the parcels mailed out by Dec 1 everyone should receive theirs before Christmas. Well we can't count on my mailman but he's just special. Could I please have your answer by Fri Oct. 14. (p.s. Betty changed Dianne's 11th to 14th so that some who post more on vacation can see it)
That way we can get the names out early.

haven't been out of the house since Thursday..kittie wants treats and I should think about something to eat..wouldn't be end of world if I didn't go out though lol at the point of saying should I/shouldn't I????

No, Noah came early evening, going through one of those sleepless cycles of life. Lol
Finally fell asleep and woke at 3:30am

He is showering and I've breakfast on for him..

Was almost afraid to let the dogs out this morning, I went out and checked out the yard first, pretty dark out there, but, it was all clear for dog action !!
Nice Noah dropped by, sure hope he is able to put all behind him, get help and move forward.

Lorna has blood work this morning, INR, if it's ok she'll have her teeth cleaned tomorrow. Dang blood thinners!

Have to find a small briefcase or something to put stuff in when I go back to University tomorrow evening, am thinking I have 'something' somewhere to put papers in .. still using a cane in my left hand so have to have something to keep things together.

ME? Mischief! WHY would you ever think that?

I have had some things occupy my time lately.....but I think it is cooling off and getting
back to normal.

Friday and also last night,, spent time with two of my boys, Kyle & Nate who used to live here.
That was good therapy for me. We took them to Cracker Barrel for dinner...was nice.

Last Thursday I spent with Jeanna, going to Christmas Tree Shoppe, and the outlet malls. Did
find a new purse which was my intentions.

you just agitated me Missy...Cracker Barrell and Christmas Tree Shoppe??? thankfully you didn't add Joann's lol

you know how I love to do those..going to Buffalo Nov.22nd with Suzanne,Linda and Rita for our weekend of Christmas Shopping, can't see why as mine just needs wrapping and 3 things to pay for but I'll be a good sport and drive them around lol

Wonderful that you are doing things with Kyle and Nate, fills in some of the void re Shane moving. Did he start his new job and is he enjoying it?

Having trouble remembering his schedule, but think he is doing training from now til Nov. 4, when he goes full time.

They got a couple moving in with them to share expenses, and he works same place Shane does, so will help carpooling also. He seems better mentally with having some good changes.

Betty, you would be so proud of Lorna, she is repairing, what I call 'the divots', her wheelchair and walker has made on the corners of the walls .. she re plasterd, re painted and is now doing the baseboards, plus, we picked up some border to use as a kind of wainscotting .. she really is just such a success story re her amputations, 80% of the amputees in our area hardly ever wear their prosthetic limbs!! Lorna wears hers every single day. walks well with it, drives, and gardens beautifully, and now, home decorating
I want to put PLEXI GLASS on the corners of the walls, not those sticky (they aren't) pieces that go on .. have found them uselss .. anyone ever seen a plexi glass type of product around? We're going to check Home Depot tomorrow ..

Snowing lightly as I write this, so cold when we went out this morning ..maybe 12F .. all I know is out came my gloves, I must have 20 of those Dollar Store specials, all different colours ..
Still wore my pink summer sling back corcs though, you're taking me kicking and screaming into my UGGS !!

Have a lasagna in the oven, made it yesterday .. had forgotten how long it takes to make one of them, needless we'll have leftovers for a bit ..

Lasagna sounds good, when will dinner be served?
My Mom went to home depot and had them cut specific sizes for her doorways, as my Dad was so bad with his wheel chair! She even had them pre drill the screw holes.

say it isn't so "M" snow??? is this earlier than normal??

I'm sure if not Home Depot, somewhere else will have what you are looking for..will ask Greg about plexi glass, if it can be heated and bent??

Paul dropped in this morning and brought Suzanne and I a tortiere pie as a treat..we are all thinking foods made from our parents/grandparent..told Suzanne how to do the Chicken and Glisants..said she will try it now I'm hungry for them..

Well at the other extreme, we are having a very slow drizzle, temps in the mid 70s but 45 is being predicted for Wednesday night. Yes, I do believe we are going to have some cooler/cold weather. Stay warm everyone.

Betty, remember I am in the northern part of the state. I would suggest a light jacket but it will still be very warm in Ft. Myers.

Betty, Shane has a job in Colorado shoveling snow already. He had to work last night!!!

Well, the dang snow STUCK around, patio has a light covering of it, and some stayed on the grass as well.
Nothing to shovel, in fact, if the NW wind would bug off it'd melt lickety split !

Lorna's INR fit the bill yesterday (just) so, off today to have her teeth cleaned, she's happy. I may or may not go seeing as I start classes tongiht and they go on til 9pm (way past my bedtime) .. I may stay home, that said, I would likely get myself REAL busy at home, as opposed to sitting in our dental office. Thinkin on it .. the wheels are squeakin ^_^

had a bit of chunky rain this a.m....stopped as quickly as it started..just warning us of what is to come.

Suzanne just got a call saying her grandaughter fell as school..Danielle is in a move at the seniors home where she works so Suzanne will go pick her up and spend the day at home

Re going back to University, guess I'll find out by the end of tonight if I'll make it through to the end of the course.
I am commited to GOOD Hospice care, so, I'm gonna give it a shot, some great speakers !!

Almost time to go , just waiting for Lorna to put on her leg, kind of a ritual, and not a quick thing .. like the dental clinic as they have a 50" flat screen and usually always have it on HGTV ..

Sorry, worded it incorrectly, Danielle is Suzanne's daughter, it's little Ariana that Suzanne is picking up.

Difficult for sure working in hospice, Sharon is presently doing it several times a week..so worthwhile but it's got to pull the heartstrings.

Sitting here cutting out iris folding christmas cards so I can show Rita how to make them tonight..many of you did them when I sent them on to you..should keep me out of mischief for a bit

sunny in my neck of the woods Betty. we are wearing shorts and tank tops. might need an occasional long sleeve t. 2nd picture is full of purple mexican petunias can't tell very well from this photo. I wanted to get the flag in there, and sun is at the "just wrong" angle.

I had a dentist appointment at 8:00 this morning in Rochester. Good heavens, I lost my mind! BUT it works best mentally for me to not worry about it all day before getting there.

Betty, that is why I can't figure out how he lost his mind and went to Colorado besides the "smoking" issue. He hates snow....and he hates the cold. I will call it his father's gene pool.

They are a type of a bush. They get to be about 5-6 feet tall.

Did you need a lot of dental work done Debbie..I can see moving from N.Y. and heading to warmer climate but colder?? brrr
