SWEET INTERRUPTIONS. Rm 269

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Karen, I have a girlfriend whose husband belongs to one of the historical "Civil War" groups in Louisiana. He'd be of course on the good side, the Confederates, even using a reproduction musket. I've been invited but never did watch a show.

What I like about Swanson, are they only sell quality products, Carole. I'm not a big buyer, so the shipping price is nice too.
Got cat that sleeps sitting on my chest!!! For that reason, I quit laying down on the couch!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

My guys don't pretend to be historical. They're just having fun. They put a target out in the bay and if by some lucky chance they hit it (cannons are Not easy to aim), they have a ceremony and they all get medals. It's a big guys get away and party thing.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

They bringing out the big guns!! That's ultimate fire power! Don't know whether it's your fellas, or another... but don't they have a fishing rodeo too?

Sorry :LK.. thanks for the good news on Ray. The thought of Faye and Ray able to lead a normal life, less hospital visits, that's comforting indeed. Thank you Lord.
How many blocks have you committed yourself to?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had all but two on my list and i just decided to make one for everyone.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Found the photos, Karen. Definitely bringing out the the big guns. Looks like a fun time. :)

Hello Ladies,

Finally got bathroom window in, but look at the crappy job he did. Even reused old plastic strips to hold it in. And they are only replacing screens completely gone not the ones that the bottom half has been cut out, how stupid these people are. I don't think the manager even knows how bad these screens are. But they don't have to replace screens so I told Doug fine, we will take what screens are here and fix what we can with them. I'm tired of dealing with these idiots, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So wished I could contact owner, just to let him know how cruddy of a job PM are taking care of things. He pays them X amount of $$ to rent out and take care of things but they won't do it.

It has been so cold and windy here, I've been staying in the house. When it gets windy like this it messes with my ears and I end up dizzy. So working on jewelry...............

Jaye, they have a bass tournament every year on Memorial week-end. Each puts $5. in the pot and largest bass wins it all. Sometimes it's an adult and sometimes one of the kids wins. Lots of fun.

Cindy I do believe I would notify the owner, sounds like he is being screwed over by the PM along with the tenants. If he is approving of these kinds of repairs, you might look into if there is any regulation of rental properties.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, any costs incurred by you, keep track! Then turn that in to the PM for a reduction in rent. Hope that will work since you can't get hold of the legit owner.

Karen, I don't know of any family that has so much fun like yours do! Makes me wish I'm related!! My family back home has monthly dining out and annual holidays overseas together. Good thing is if one sister can't come up with the funds, others will help out.
Yes, I missed a lot since I chose to move here.
All you need Karen, is a county all to yourself and the rest of the family... extended.. adopted.. so you all don't have far to travel!!

A bit of gossip. What do you think Sistahs?

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

I saw that last evening on ET. Well, he certainly looks a lot more like Frank than he does Woody!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I have to say our bunch does have a good time together. We need very little excuse to party down. We take all comers, you want in? You're in. I must warn though we hardly ever let any one out. Even divorce doesn't work most of the time.

Hmmm I suppose anything is possible but his looks could come from Mia , very similar. So why haven't they done DNA testing?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you Karen! It's hard to get rid of me!

His eyes are so eerily like ole Blue Eyes, don't you think? I'm sure the DNA testing been done, maybe that's why Barbara considered him family.
.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I saw that last night too! He does look more like Frank than Woody!

Karen, can I bee your Sis too?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oooh we'd be first cousins?

Gonna get off the pc. Since I have to order another vit from Swanson, Sleeping Beauty decided to check the site. Said he'd be interested to get something for his braincells. .
He'd qualify for that free shipping offer after all Carole!

Catch you all later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Good morning to all my new sisters, I'm loving it.

Those in my storms path, please be careful. Not sure how I feel about them using my name.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Smiling at that. I do hope this storm won't do a lot of damage. Hate storms.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning to you sister Karen. Keeping an eye on Karen (the storm) for sure. If we are to get winds, I will need to remove a couple of bird baths and some other items as they are near some trees with large dead branches in them. Don't want to chance an thing getting broken due to laziness. :-)

Kathy thanks for posting the link. Yeapers, we are in there if it continues the direction they have in red. Oh well, what will be, will be.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good afternoon sistahs. This group here from the first day of Sweet Interruptions has always adhere to the simple credo that we're all sistahs. There were arguments, disagreements, believe me, I'm no angel, but at the end of the day, we return to being sistahs.
There are some sistahs and nieces that have disappeared but the love will always be there. I've spelt "Sistahs" as I don't want to offend anyone since there's no blood ties.
So, in light of the latest reaffirmation of what we are to each other.. I'll start calling each other "Sister".
Sister Judy is one that would give me huge smiles when she'd call me "SisTERRRR" over the phone or when we had the chance to be together at a reunion.
We ARE SisTERRRS!!

Good day SISTERS!!
I am no longer the only child in the USA!

Those on the path of Karen (me included it seems) please take heed. Get your generators ready! Cody in Louisiana will not be affected. But, Sis Kathy... and you Marion?
Let Charles do the heavy lifting please!

Couldn't get up this morning as I caught the flu from Kel. That man now is exposed to all kinds of viral germs at the prison, and yes, he brings them home. If we didn't doctor ourselves up with extra vitamins, I'm sure his immune system will be worse.
So, at least, it's just once this year.

Our sister here won three categories in this DG Country fair!!! Congratulations Carole!!! She never told us of her entries! That's our Carole, so humble.

Look at these beauties.
1. Quilt category. Her grandmother made this crazy quilt sampler!

2. Favorite Vegetable Garden: Her words; "Determined to have fresh organic produce, friends constructed this raised vegetable garden in the desert east of San Diego. It is watered by a drip system they also built. People said it would never work but it appears they have proven the nay-sayers wrong."
This is ingenous!! When there's a will, there's a way. Love that drip system.

3. Backyard Garden: Beautiful, even in the rain!

Congratulations Sister Carole!!

WOW! Three time winner, congrats!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Days are heating up again, not going to be a happy day. Jaye, you were right about people dropping off the Nicholas Sparks new book que. It is down to 141, but still a long way to go. I can wait as I have many books to read without adding more.

Watched the new sitcom "The Millers" last night, really funny. Haven't made up my mind on the Robin Williams one, can't seem to get too interested in it. We do need funny shows to watch.
