Carole, I'm gonna again with peonies. Fall will be a great time to plant a root. This time, I'll stick it in my Oriental Lily raised bed.

Yes, peonies in the bud stage do seem to attract ants. I think it's a myth that the peonies need them to bloom well. They just produce a small amount of nectar or other attractant that lures the ants and the ants go away once the bloom opens.

Today I will do my usual, whatever that is. I'm working on one of my swap projects. Now I have two swaps to work on thanks to someone(s) I know. Hee, hee, hee. Well, it's nice to be wanted. ♥

I may do some writing and may plant some Opuntia pads someone sent me. Other than that, I hang out with my cats. :)

This week-end we are heading back down state, I'm going to the wedding shower for DGSs fiance and Hubby and sons will be getting the cannons ready for their week-end coming up.

I agree about the ants and peonies, however don't worry about them, I've nearly always had peonies next to the house and no problem with the ants coming in.

I like using the kids photos too Jaye, besides they are ever much cuter to look at. LOL

Lolol!! Can't help but either smile or laugh at what cats do! Yours is truly the Queen of Relaxers! Anywhere for a shut eye, it doesn't matter if she had only a few inches of space!
By the way, I get my vits from Swanson too. Yep, using turmeric as well and I was just told about Berberine, that might help diabetes.

Our culture doesn't do showers. No gift registrations. For my first wedding in Singapore, I got 4 sets of knives.. Hmm... maybe they think I'd need protection?

Jaye, the last we heard from Faye was back the end of August. This is what she wrote...

Carpet cleaners are coming for upstairs today. DGS and friends are coming for the week-end. We are leaving but they have said they will take care of Molly for us. Works well as we will be bringing DGS from TN and Amelia(YAY!) back with us, and Molly would crowd us in the car. Well actually we would crowd her as she's used to the whole back seat to herself.

Lucky so far weather wise, it called for rain but sunshine and warm. good for drying carpets.

Jaye, "she's" a he. :) I have never had a cat that loves to sleep on his or her back so much. It's hilarious. I often ask him if he's really that comfortable and he just smiles at me and gives me that all-knowing cat look. You know the one.

Canons?? Please explain.

It's actually Cannons. My guys have a gathering every year in Oct. on Harsen's Island in Lake St. Clair. This has no historical significance other than they are authentic naval cannons and they do dress in costumes. In Oct is because there is little or no boat traffic. They shoot all day and then party all night, I did post photos somewhere but darned if I remember where.
