ahhh Susan, don't think that is the reason, most are comfortable with the services they have so don't wish to change to something new and some know they can't get out of contracts so feel what would be the purpose of attending?

Thank you all for good thoughts and prayers. I was up til 1:00 a.m.

Son is having issues, and I finally got a verbal "if we can't make rent next month....we will come home". I said "Good because we can't afford to keep helping like this, it is putting us behind" and he understood. He has job at BK ...and not first check til next week. Sigh. Then says "Mom, I am keep list of all you have paid us...I will somehow pay back". It isn't about that.....but they con't understand.

Then, DH who is in Cleveland "with family"....I just lost faith in that man altogether. I have just gotten to wear I turn away.

He said to me they were staying at hotel....leaving at 8:00 this morning to come home, by noon. Guess what? He got to Nephews about 3:00 a.m.....slept til 10:00...the entire family went to breakfast....and left for NY at Noon. Says to me "I am with family". Ouch. This is his third vacation this year with his "family". During 24 years.....the only vacation I have had with him....was last year to Betty and Diannes. Every year he goes away a couple times with "his family". Sigh.

Sorry to rant.

Susan, for my daughter....they wanted $700 to get out of her contract for phone...so it isn't
your friends don't want to help you. Sometimes people just can't drop what they have.

We have rain here still....look like 8:00 at night!!!

I'm not asking them to switch services - just to come and listen, and help me evaluate the business.
AND - I discovered for myself that not all of the contracts are locked in. My TV and internet are, but my phone was not....... and they're all with Telus.
anyway - moot point. I WILL be successful at this company - I really NEED to be financially secure, and not have to wait for the city's handouts when they tell us they're buying us out from the trailer park (I found out a couple of weeks ago that they are.....). I NEED to be able to say to them "ok, you'll buy my trailer, and I'll take what I deserve for it at fair market value, but you're not going to put me in your low income housing - I can look after myself By Myself!!"
This is why I'm doing this..... and you ladies know how I've been struggling financially, and job-wise - I NEED this........

Sharon just left, sure wish she hadn't made the error with one photo as we could have had the top finished..her plans are to come back next Thursday afternoon as time is limited for her..puppies to be born in 10 days then she's stuck in the house for awhile.

She left pleased as punch, 1st quilt she's made in blocks..she wasn't sure she'd like it but left with a big smile..lots accomplished..everything cut for her quilt, top almost done, binding ready
and last night she quilted her placemats..able to do binding at home so rest we did not.

OMG Sharon who has a bad back went to move to help me, fell off the chair that had castors am sure she won't be walking tomorrow either

When Darlene dropped in I remember she had dropped 2 pairs of pants to be shorten for Mae the other day so later I'll get at them then early night seeing as I have to be out of her at 6:45am tomorrow morning to meet up with girls for Meaford, glad there is a bank on the way

Betty - please take care of that knee..... you're not falling apart - you're just re-discovering all the wonderful parts that make you up into one beautiful human being :-)

One thing you are not Susan is a quiter..I'm praying that although there are small setbacks that you go full speed ahead and prosper..sales in telecommunications I think is a challenging..

Debbie, can just feel your pain, know how worried you are about Shane..one would almost hope things don't go his way so he will come home. You almost hate to think that but it truly would be nice for you to be able to love him up...

Hope Paul remembers this when you take those new wheels of yours and head my way for 2-3 days..

Popping in to see how everyone is doing, and, since it seems there's a lot of 'angst' in the room, I decided I'd just wrap everyone up and give you all a hug .. which, by the sounds of things, is needed by several of you.
I'd include myself, but, I got 3 unexpected hugs while out today, from different people ..

Susan, you surely do have the determination to make your business succeed, that in itself is a huge plus. Guess it's just such a 'leap of faith' to go with another company when you've been with one for several years with no problem .. TBaytel here in Thunder Bay is a good provider that we have dealt with for, well, forever .. like them because their 'techs' are so darned good when you phone with a computer problem.
I have a bud living in Calgary, I'll give her your info, she has a LOT of friends she deals with through her business ..

Coffee with my BFF was magnifico .. she is just the best ... have been BEST friends since we were 12 !!!! That's a lot of years to stick together !! PLUS, she has just the BEST ideas .. love her to bits.

Great description of 'congressing', have shared it with friends in FL, AZ and OR .. all thought it to be RIGHT ON !!

Betty - this is Not sales..... if you didn't have something, it could be sold to you, but I'm not doing telemarketing, or telling people to quit services they've had for years. They would keep the service, just go wholesale rather than retail price. And I don't want anyone to do any expensive buyout.... anyway, enough said.

Marilyn - thank you! Now, if your friend wants to check it out in person, this guy is coming by my house tomorrow, and I'd love to meet her and have her meet Ali.... let me know.

btw - the company has been around for 20 years - they don't advertise but pay people like me to do word of mouth, and they have great customer service. I've already been on the customer side of it with them - very efficient, and polite (which is a HUGE thing for me, having been a customer service manager for years).
