Thought I would get us a new thread, ready to see the new wheels "
M" and Debbie are getting this week. Lol
Omg what a fright I had
Was soooo hot in the house, think when Kyle spent the night last night he turned the heat to 74 so put the heat down then decided to open the bedroom window, yikes, forgot that I had glued the legs on Ms Noseworthy the witch and while curing I layed her on the floor on the far side of my bed..looked like a corpse in the dark of the evening, did you hear me scream?
So, came home to locked door, found a corpse on the side of my bed and there is a 3rd thing but can't remember what right now I'm so tired...
Amy just picked up the boxes so it's off to bed I go

Best/Worse,what did I learned today? All welcome to join in
Just remembered what the 3rd thing is...
So quiet here but as I sipped my hot chocolate I can hear a noise, odd, almost like popping corn, got up off the couch several times but it stops..hmmm
Well on the counter is a little box I bought for Suzanne's grandaughter..has Mexican jumping beans, remember those when you were young? Well they are doing from time to time the Mexican hat dance. Lol. Not sure what got them excited
Too funny
Sharon, I forgot to respond to you, thanks for the offer for ties but I shall pass...only did the quilt as a memorial offering and Lordy just gutting the ties for the quilt took a ay, promised myself likely it would be the last one I did..
Sorry about your nephew, heartbreaking for sure, what sadness you must be feeling!
Debbie, as I said above, quiet here, lonely as well, I'd have had company had you NOT made me leave witchiepoo in Buffalo...I could have been gabbing to her tonight!! Bad Debbie, bad Sharon
Betty, you can't handle Mrs. Noteworthy on the floor....you would walk in and see the witch sitting on your couch and scream too!! I can just see you "who is onthe couch" as you see a shadow pulling into the drive. NOT a good ending. And this witch was BIG!!!
OH and Sharon accepted my friend request...if you were wondering!!!
Had a wonderful time today with you and Sharon, I so needed that.
Glad to hear that you had a great trip Betty. LOL at the corpse witch! Get some rest.
I'm so glad the three of you were able to meet up. I'm sure Debbie thinks Sharon is just as lovely as I do. I so enjoyed talking with her when we were there. Doesn't seem possible that it was two years ago. So much has gone on in our lives since then.
Morning everyone.
Betty, you're sounding much happier, despite corpses on your floor LoL
I DO remember the Mexican Jumping Beans .. an Auntie brought me some years ago when she had gone to Acapulco .. darned if I know where they are now though ..
I traded in my 2011 Toyota Rav 4 SUV .. yes it was nice, but, my tushie is a lot lower than its seats, and, when I got it, it was to accomodate Lorna's wheelchair which she does not use anymore .. so .. back to a car .. this one has one of those screens in it that lets you see what's behind you as you back up , lots of other do dads which will have to be explained to me.
Have always trusted Toyota, so, here's hoping.
Going in today to do 'paperwork'
In fact, I best get moving !!!

Good morning,
Looks like new car day. lol Mine has the back up screen too!
and for some reason....a cooler in the glove box! LOL
Betty, did you happen to find my brown jacket in your back seat?
Off and running....have a good day
Morning all
Am improving daily, hard to stay focused, as Debbie could tell, wanted to purchase fabric for projects and just couldn't..mentally and physically drained. Seeing Noah and Greg laughing together did me good, am sure we are not over the hump but here is hoping!
Of course seeing Debbie smile and excited about her new vehicle (could it be because she may attempt to come visit me one day?
I think it should be Oct 5th weekend so we can do the Meaford craft and Applefest festivities don't you think Dianne?
I thought Sharon had met a few of my dg friends but she was telling Debbie only met the lovely couple from NH. Lol
"M" here is hoping your new vehicle is exactly what you want?
drats, knew I'd get caught!!!
Mom just call, Aunt Muriel is in Barrie Hospital having her surgery and mom is in Barrie..said she called my work yesterday to remind me of the surgery and they said I was off, she then called my house and the girls said I was off to Buffalo ... oh oh
She asked why I didn't let her know knowing how she wanted to go ?? told her it was last minute trip, right there, right back (little white lie) then asked who I went with, told her a friend (didn't dare mention it was Sharon) then the phone rang, told her to call me back in a bit
Debbie I sure hope your jacket is in Betty's car.
yep Jacket in my car, got to meet up again in November lol
where are you all???
I'm in trouble..mom phoned back, said Aunt Muriel told her the other day that as soon as she is well enough I agreed to take her to Bufalo, just her, yep I did because she asked me if I could go without my mom..oooh ohhh
now mom wants to know when I can take just her
big sigh
Checking in. It has been a busy week so far. Managed to get my son to go with me to purchase some mulch for top dressing my flower bed......put heavy layers of my shredded bills, etc. underneath. Running errands and today I had doctor appointments. I am doing fine!!
M. I am very curious about the RAV. I have a 2004 Highlander and have been thinking about getting a newer car.....either Toyota or Subaru. I love my Highlander and it has performed like a dream.....no expensive bills either. I had looked at a RAV but just not sure. Are you saying the seats are to high up to get in comfortably for you? I have also had an Outback by Subaru which I dearly loved. Decisions, decisions, decisions. My son told me I will buy another Highlander but I also informed him that I will make that decision...not him. I understand he is trying to be helpful but I think I am capable.
Sounds like another border crossing for you in the near future.
Go to the dealership and take them for a test drive.
Nice looking ride. What is it?
Yipppeee Debbie, look at your wheels!!!!
I'm thrilled for you..shouldn't be problems you roadrunning now lol
Marion, glad to see you post that you got a good grade at the doctor's..don't overdo out there in the yard..
Had a saburu that I bought just after Roger died..loved it, 4 wheel drive and cheap on gas
Marion, like you and your Highlander, i LOVE my RAV .. just find it 'too much' vehicle for me right now though .. and, yes, the seats are higher up to get onto than the Corolla, which you just kinda glide into .. tried 3 vehicles out, the Matix, nice, the Corolla and the Camry .. looked at the Highlander and Venza, but, my heart went to the Corolla LoL
Debbie, looks like you have a nice vehicle there as well ^_^
Oh Oh Betty, looks like you'll be shuffling off to Buffalo a lot in the upcoming weeks !!!
Had lunch out at Applebees and now to get ready for dinner out with friends, grade 12 girls.
Stay well and happy
TOODLES
~M~
It is a Dodge Journey, 2010....4WD also (my first) and that dang keyless thing. I needed instruction on how to start thedarn thing
BUT...it came with a month of Sirus radio...and guess what!!!???
I have ELVIS RADIO!!! All Elvis all the time! hahahaha
But it is just a "trial" offer.
M...we went to Applebees also....and my stomach was not happy, although it taste so so good!
It's a trick with the Sirius to get you hooked. Darn when we got our 300 we got Sirius free for a year. Then I went ahead and paid for the lifetime. It was a good deal as we have had the car now for 8 years. I really wouldn't want to be without it now it spoils you.
M, thanks for the comments. I have driven both LK, but still haven't made up my mind. I actually like the higher seat getting into and out....my daughter's Forester is just to low for me. It kills my legs getting into and out of.
Well I will keep looking and maybe by next spring I will have made up my mind.
Debbie, love the car!!
Love my Sirius radio, paid after my year was up, love the Elvis/Country and Western stations as well as the comedy..kept the phone as well! Sometimes you just got to treat yourself.
Had a friend who stopped in for an hour..what a sweetheart
he had such positive things to say about Noah, I was thrilled to hear them.
Jeff is getting all the dirt bike gear to Noah , he also says each day he's doing something positive is a good day. as well Kyle says that when they are together as a family there are some laughs
I know, I know, it's one step forward and much too soon to judge, but I just have to be positive that maybe we might be over one little hump
one little hump at a time is what it takes Betty !!
And we will be here to celebrate each and every one of them.....
Day by day all we can hope for.
Thank you all, know I might just be native to think things can change so quickly..did change for the worse quickly so believing in the Lord that it's possible.
Thinking of positive, our little Alex is over 5 1/2 lbs, wearing his own clothes and only needs air here and there
Addy although travelling a rough road is over 3 1/2 lbs and holding her own..at least for today
Ann and Melissa are showing signs of relief, they WILL make it! Even LeeAnn Melissa' sister is starting to take a more active roll
Wonderful news regarding the babies!!! They are on their way.....
WOOO HOOO, so nice to read the positive news re the babies and Noah ... smilin a mile here.
Supper was awesome, there were 10 of us, food was just amazing, long wait, but worth it, and, more time to yak :-)
I am so blessed to have these women in my life, hard to believe we've all been friends for over 40 years ..
Driving home was a challenge, Gord took me and picked me up, but, the fog had rolled in off the big old lake and it was difficult seeing .. but we made it.
Kicking back with a glass of wine, then bed, up and at'em early AGAIN tomorrow, dental appt and more paperwork re the car.
Sleep tight

hi - lost my job today........ oh well, maybe it's for the best........
Susan I am so sorry to read this. You never posted about this job and I'm thinking it was not a happy situation for you.
Morning all
Oh Susan, what to heck happened???
"M" not many can say they have a group of friends from their childhood, nice to see you out and about being your old you, now new you. Lol
Running behind
Took some meds for pain last night and zonked out early, slept well and still hated to get up this morning
Gab in a bit
Sorry to hear that Susan.
Oh Susan, I'm so very sorry. Barb is right it didn't seem like a good fit for you. I know you needed the job but we were so missing you. Please talk with us often.
((((Susan)))) Sorry to hear that. But when you did post, you didn't seem happy there.
Wicked headache going on here....woke up to a 5:15 phone call from DS, having a bad night.
Dang it is chilly this morning!
Have a good day, going for some coffee....
Debbie
Susan, it obviously was not the 'right fit' for you .. hopefully you are on to better things.
Betty, it wa just wonderful to be out with these women .. 3 nurses, 4 teachers, a banker and a psychologist .. like you say, we have memories going back years, sure had some good laughs. I felt like a million bux when I got home, AND, I was able to wear HEELS!! Not HIGH high heels, but, heels .. and my balance was good, mind you, I didn't have far to walk, and, only 3 stairs up into the area where we had our dinner.
Dental appt today (have to take 4 caps of antibiotic prior to (a fact of life prior to each cleaning now), and, off to get more paperwork done re the new car.
Hope everyone has an awsome day
Toodles
~M~
no, not the right "fit". we were crammed into a boardroom, 6 double-monitored computers, dimly lit, and no room for "thinking outside the box". It was very structured, and I need some room to grow........... there was none. But, it was a job and I was willing to plug away at it. The 2nd week on the job was horrible, but it got better, if a little..... stilted...... for the last two. I'm sure others there are happier I'm not there, because after the 2nd week when I complained and was so upset, all "fun" went out of the room, and we just said nothing during the work day.
Well, guess it's for me to get back to looking........again.......
Don't leave us Susan, We are always here for you. I know that had to be a difficult situation for you and you really couldn't have handled that for too long.
here's hoping you find a 'better' fit!
