Got home to late to take pics of the bird, but will get some posted, wish I had a pic of her bracelet it is so pretty. Don't know if I will be home in time tomorrow or not. Need to help my sisters.
She's about to... 70! Fall is in the air!
Yeah the same here Debra, my hibs are so happy to be indoors and blooming up a storm, go figure.
Here's birdy that I bought, I am going to have to learn to weld. I just love all that old rusty stuff and it is so darn expensive. I forgot we took a picture of him at the sale.
Oh forgot to tell you all my wax plant has 2 blooms, just now opening. Hope they stay a long time. Waited a long time for them. Can't think of the name of the other big plant I have been waiting for the bloom to open, but it is thinking about opening.....won't be long now.
I love those sculptures Joyce, I have 2, 6 foot tall ones I just couldn't resist.
oh that is so cute! love it. whats a wax flower?
I love that bird!
that bird is sweet
Great bird, happ. I've often wished I knew how to weld. BIL does but they are in CA. :(
Is your wax flower a Hoya?
I saw some buds on my Hoya just before we left, I hope they last until I get back. It seems to have no rhyme or reason as to when it blooms. It had some flowers while outside in July, and sometimes blooms in the middle of winter.
I've noticed the same thing. It just blooms when it does. :)
WELL IT IS HERE THE S WORD MIXED WITH RAIN So I know it won;t stay but still just to early for me to see it . just got my hoses put up today & last of my Bulbs dug up before the Mess .
my Body is so cold off to get warmed up.
Ugh! Stay warm, Susie.
Oh i would love to have a couple of 6 ft tall sculptures. Dh has the stuff but i will have to learn to use it. I played once with it gonna have to pull my big girl panties up and learn to deal with the sparks.
Debra wax plant is a hoya i just couldnt think of that name.
I call mine my yard birds as that is what they look like. One had a pair of ice tongs for it's beak and the other has an antique taxi horn for a beak. One center is a cherry pitter and the other an apple peeler corer.
Karen take pictures of your yard birds please?
It can take five or six years for a Hoya to bloom. Yours is looking good. I have some Hoya cuttings that have been sitting for the last three years that have yet to bloom. I know they like bright light, moisture when they are actively growing, and fertilizing fairly often during growth. I'm hoping this coming year may be the year.
Hoyas can be fickle too. some years(like this year) mine will bloom several times. and others not at all. I follow the same schedule basically every year, so no clue as to why.
I will Linda as soon as I get back home....if I remember, ask again if I don't.
gm Nice plants debra Yeah all the Snow is west of us its cold here & we might get a few flakes yet today but hope not :)
Here a few more of my fall Blooms yet except the 1st pic is a Bush or shrub that i cannot find the name of it , this branch hanging is Flat ,, Not round like other branches
& there is seed pods hanging it also had pretty purplish flowers up till a few weeks ago .
well guess i better make a list of what I SHOULD DO :) Don't think it will work for me .
have a great day everyone
Love that white flower, is is an iochroma?
No that is one of my tobaco /Nicotina plants what is the #2 pic of yours ? I would like to find some Datrua's Yellow, white , purple I planted seeds last spring but nothing came up not sure why.
if anyone has a few to share I will pay postage .
they are talking frost here tomorrow nite. unbelievable. it isn't January yet
deejay those are beautiful. This year I am going to start the nicotina plant in the garden room. I heard bugs do not like it and maybe it will keep my population down. Worth a shot anyway.
Oh dautras are so pretty.
Ok here are some photos from my big red plant and the craft show last weekend. Well at least pics of a few things I bought.
First off I should of bought each one of you this t-shirt, it is just wild I think.
Fourth is a pin cushion I thought was so darn cute and figure I can copy it...
Second this is the pin jewelry to hold up sleeves and you don't even poke it thru your clothes, you can also use it to hold up your shirt bottom if it is too long
Now I didn't get to buy this but I am going to make one, a way to start plants, thought it was so cool and I would of bought it if I could of, it was not for sale.
I LOVE that T shirt! Thanks for showing us what you got, What is the pin cushion in?
Wow Joyce! Lots of nifty stuff. Now why would they show such a neat plant rooter if it wasn't for sale, just a teaser. Love the sleeve holder upper and of course I'm addicted to sewing notions so I think the pin cushion is great. OK is that the scientific name of that plant?
rofl...yes big a-- red plant is it's scientific name... ;) Well anyway it is a name I can remember...LOL
I think that plant starter I am going to make maybe using a metal old strainer upside down and run wires thru the holes and then spray paint the whole thing one color and then attach the tubes. Seems like it would work?
She was selling those t-shirts for 10.00 and we all bought one, I thought it was great.
The pin cushion in this instance is in what I think is a votive candle holder cup, but jeepers you can glue it into anything. I am not a huge sewer so for the bedroom it will be perfect for a few safety pins, not that I use safety pins, except in shirts with buttons, pants without buttons...LOL Now you know all my secrets.
The sleeve holder is great because it doesn't poke holes in the material so you can use it on any fabric, I am wearing them today and they are working great. This is a knit top and the sleeves I guess have shrunk because the end of the sleeve is about 2 inches above my wrist and looks really dorkey, but usually my cuffs are down to my knuckles.
Hard frost at my house down into the 20's for 7 hours ;(
Joyce when i mom was well before her cancer she used to make those Pins for all of us gals back in the early 90's we wore them in our Shirts & sweaters, they were fun to wear & I had forgot about them , thank you for bringing back a MEMORY :) .
Debra sounds great will do.
Glad I could bring you a memory DJ...
....see everything comes around and goes around, here I thought this was new.
I think you guys when I retire I am going to change out of my shell and become glitzy! My favorite colors are neutral (which a friend keeps laughing and saying that can't be your favorite color GREY)... I have worn these pins all day and they are so funny because I am so normally plain that I will be walking and kind of jump cause I see them out of the corner of my eye and I am not sure what they are. I don't wear rings, ear rings, necklaces, nothing except my glasses. Don't know why unless it is because I get up sooo early I don't want to waste any time doing anything but getting to work. So maybe when I retire I can find me...rofl.
When you retire we can all become a member of the red hat club!
I can't wait. It is scary thinking about not working. I have never not worked and when I walk out of the field I am in it will be over, there will not be any going back. Very odd thought.
I hear ya Joce, I can't imagine me not working, Joe couldn't either but here he is all retired and not worrying about going to work anymore.. The Luck.
Oh Debra that begonia is beautiful. You know I love begonias except for the angel begonia that is hard as nails I can't keep them a live. I would hate to admit how many beautiful begonias I have killed.... ;(
Guns going off it must be hunting season.
Joyce when you retire you will still be working FULL TIME COOKING, CLEANING, GARDENING,
& Will Manage to find time to help others who need it :) Just ask me I'm Also a Plain Jane Now but at one time I Put on make up & Jewelry , I cannot wear it any more my eyes water up big time.
it is very windy here this morning chance of rain today. I have to take a few Plants over to my friends to put down into her basement . & then More apples to get done :)
ya all have a great day .
Yeah right now dh does the cooking and cleaning, I imagine when I retire he will retire from part of it. Course the agreement was if we got a dog he would keep up the house with the dog so part of it he will keep. But I work about 9/10 hours a day with a 2 hour compute, so to have 12 hours a day 5 days a week will be amazing. I work sometimes on Saturdays or Sundays, example this weekend I have two projects for work to finish up and have no idea how much time they will take. Which I need to start so everyone have a great day.
That makes for a long day at work! What do you do?
It is really nice this morning. 67 right now. Supposed to be mid 80, s today.
Debra : Dose your Morning Glory tree come back each year ? & what is the yellow daisy type flower you posted on October 22, 2013 Picture ?
