Jaye, you should go to Louisiana it will do you good!
Love that marker!

Mornin' Jaye. Bounce comes in handy in more ways than one that is for sure. I use the sheets to clean those nasty love bugs off the front of my car.
If I could, I would send everyone some of the pound cake fries....yummy tasty. Yes, Kim is rather pleased with the outcome of this cake. Now if I could only teach her to clean up the kitchen after doing that. :-(
LK, the only reason I'm hating to take a flight there, is because there are 2 stopovers!! Myrtle Beach to Atlanta to Houston then Lafayette, La.
I had a very bad experience when taking a flight home from Cookie,s. Had to climb up a 'crop duster' with no help, for my connecting flight from Charlotte to MB.
I'm so afraid that Lafayette being a small town, I might again be on a crop duster!
Yes it will do me a lot of good.. and Kel needs a vacation badly too. I can wait another year if Kel can take some off for Thanksgiving.. or if his mother...(bad thoughts here)... Whichever is earlier.
Lol!!
Aww Marion, I'm sure you clean up after her with pride glowing in your heart!

Then let your nephews come and pick you up.
Okay, I can accept that! Hope I didn't offend with the post on FB..the devil made me to that. :-)
no offense taken. I actually laughed my butt off. felt good to be able to laugh
Jaye how did you make a blank post? You don't have anythingto say?
Good as I didn't want to offend....just couldn't help myself. Sad thing is, you can see sights like that in one of the Walmarts here.
I saw one in the er the other day, but never worry about offrnding me
What a day I had!! I called oncologist office to leave message for doctor. DH was getting weaker and felt hungry but only could eat a small bit here and there. Got him to ER, put in a room and everything was going fine until the blood work showed he was anemic and white blood cells had a low count, that is due to chemo. EKG, chest x-ray, more tests, iv's and by this time it was around 5 PM. They said he could go into another part of the ER where they could give him the blood transfusions. I left there around 7 because they were going to transfer him to the other area. Three hours later he called and said he was in the same room. He was really mad by this time, they said lab couldn't type his blood because they were closed. They weren't closed when all this work was done. His blood count kept creeping down each month and no one said anything! They keep the hospital so cool, I love it, and DH was feeling better already. Wish I could have taken the cool air home with me, in fact it got a little chilly. He tried to eat a little something but only a few bites and he was done. They did bring him a vanilla and a chocolate pudding and he said that went down so smooth. I hadn't eaten anything all day so I helped DH finish his dinner. At least he drank some juice, ate the puddings and drank a small container of milk. I have to make sure there is a lot of yogurt in the house, he seems to enjoy that. ER was so busy, but the time I left there was such a long line waiting to get checked in, I think people wait until after work then decide to go to ER. Everyone knows how many hours you usually have to wait.
I'm so tired of just sitting most of the day. Hope he won't have to go to ER again. I had hoped they had wireless in the hospital since I had taken my kindle fire along I could have gotten on some of my web sites.
Oh Pegi, those long stints at the ER can really be a bear. Sounds like you made the most of it. Darwin too. My DH has difficulty chewing and likes all the soft stuff - yogurt, puddings, popsicles, applesauce, soft-cooked veggies like cauliflower and broccoli, soft berries, and other things. I agree, cool is a great thing here too as it rids the house of the humidity.
Pegi, so sorry about the long day and all that went with it at the hospital. Sending a huge hug and prayers for you and Darwin. I wish there was more I could do for you at this time....just know I am there in spirit.
It is so sad when our loved ones have troubles eating and such a challenge to find and prepare foods that are tasty as well as soft.
Happy birthday Barb. Hope you are planning something extra special for the day...shucks the week. Well maybe for the entire month. :-)
happy bday barb
I worried about jaye, she said she would call me back yesterday, she wasn't on here, now she don't answer her phone
Maybe she has it turned off.
Thank you for the good wishes... I get to sew today!!!!
Jaye does turn off her phone at times.....
Happy Birthday Barb!!
May you enjoy your special day today more than just sewing! But I know that brings you joy after weeks of having to put your favorite craft away.
Awww Pegi. Yes ER is the pits everywhere, especially when there's only 1 hospital to serve a large area. What makes it bad is more hospitals decide to downsize and we suffer with inadequate service.
Pegi, my ex is 'ordered' to add beets, bananas and honey as part of his diet as he's diagnosed as being anemic a few months back. He's not much of a vege guy, the VA doctor told him, if he can't stomach deep green leaves, he must eat or 'drink' the red ones!
Sis Kathy, I did try calling you up yesterday evening, but no answer and answering machine didn't pick up.
Sorry if I had scared you. The allergy pills knock me out and I overslept.
Marion your team has a great QB from what I read. This may be the year for rebuilding, but some pundits predicted that Winston will lead your Seminoles to conference championship.
They even likened him to Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M. Interesting...
More interesting is Winston is from Alabama! Makes me wonder why Saban let this one go.
LK... I don't know how I can post a blank statement!! Must be DG or have I stepped into the realm of Twilight Zone? Lol! Now you know I have plenty to say!
Could be I was having problem with DG yesterday trying to log in and it took forever just to post something. I don't think I can do that again.. posting blanks!
Carole, I could have got something soft instead of nuts for your DH :( So sorry to learn that he can only enjoy soft foods.
A late start.. poor cats are all staring at me.. off I go..
LK, can you start a new room please. DG is still giving me problems.
♥ Happy Birthday, Barb. And many more. ♥
Jaye, he eats nuts. He can't eat the big Brazil nuts but everything else is usually okay. That's the only thing in there he won't eat so all is well. You did just fine.
New room everyone!
