Morning everyone. ((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to all of you.
***Sweet Interruptions*** Rm# 266
Pass a slice of that turkey please?
Thunder. Those kids are so precious.
Beautiful children, thunder. Just beautiful. :)
Thunder, you will never be the "forgotten one"...just wish I lived a little closer so we could get together more often. Depression is the pits and believe me, many of us suffer from it. One day at a time and always, yes always, the sewing machine and friends on DG!!
Can't believe how much Malena has grown......what cuties!!!!
Now, there is a burger I would really enjoy! What a great job, bet that boyfriend will be surprised.
DH was just too weak to get up and go to the eye doctor today. Had to cancel and he is set up for Oct. 3rd. That oxygen is supposed to make him feel a lot better. He isn't eating much either, just hope this doesn't put me in the pits too. He makes coments like he wishes it was all over, but when he is feeling better he talks about fishing. A little depression setting in too. My "one day at a time" has to be set in motion again.
The heat wave can be shut off at any time too! I'm anxious to get out and get rid of weeds. In a couple weeks it will be time for me to start planting my sweet peas again. Have to get out side for a little therapy too.
my estranged daughter in florida just called. shes dying of aids, I ask to see my granddaughter and its a big todo. cant take much more. take about depression.
Pegi, sending hugs to you and Darwin.
Kathy, that is not news a mother wishes to hear. Prayers and hugs for you also.
Oh NO, Sissy....what will happen to that baby girl??

Time for a group hug.
Why do the lemons that are thrown to us be so bitter sometimes that we'd need a truck load of sugar just to make that lemonade palatable.
Praying for peace and healing for Darwin and your daughter, Sis Kathy.
Lanakila, I hope your cat found its way home.
Thunder, I do try to sew, but little fires get in the way!! Wearing a rubber band on my wrist to snap me out of depression!
Sorry to hear that Kathy.
(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))
Pegi sorry to hear hubby is jot doing well. ((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to you also.
Good morning!
Another new day and I'm alive. Please Lord, let my legs cooperate today.
Got something I'm so ashame of. There's this 'throw it all' room that needed organizing. We already have a storage shed, but still I make use of a guest room for the stuffs I intend to pack someday!
I'm sure some of you sistahs have one of those. That room is chaotic. So, it's organizing day today for me, and the bedroom needs an overhaul!
The walls are lined up with cds and books and if only Kel learnt to put back things where they belong... hmm.. maybe Lola's the culprit. Sometimes I see her napping on a book.
Good luck Jaye, when your done, you can come and help me do mine! Yes We have one of those rooms too!
Hubby has one too...called a garage...no room for the car.
lol. Well, not too funny. That sounds like our garage. And we have a family room that must be magnetic because everything in the house seems to end up there. At least it seems like it.
LOL!!! I don't feel bad now, as my sistahs are normal like me.. or crazy?
Shame on the creator of magnetic rooms! Now if only one can come up with a mini robot that can trace socks!
Karen, I've decided on doing a rag quilt for Bradley. He and his partner can fray the edges when I'm through and if they want, can even do a backing. Unfortunately, with only three pairs of pants, I have to make sure there are enough fabric for 7" squares.
I like the last one.
Come on over Jaye. You're welcome any time.
I got a junk room, I keep after Michael about, not that it does much good
Ah hum, sorry ladies but I have 6 rooms like that....hanging head in shame. :-(
Had my 3 month check up for the cataract surgery and not what I wanted to hear but atleast it is fixable. The lenses is clouding over so may have to have lazer surgery in the future. The doctor told me this is normal and happens in about 30% of cases where there has been cataracts. Otherwise eyes are doing fine.
I had lazer 7 days after my caterac surgery
I LUVZ'S ALL OF YOU'S
sorry to hear about your daughter with aids . When did she get diagnosed ?
Jaye please take care of yourself. still got time to heal. :)
Marion not great news but am glad you can get the eyes fixed.

Sorry to hear about your eyes Marion, but at least they can fix them!
http://davesgarden.com/contest/daves-garden-county-fair-2013/
Daves Garden country fair is open!
Thanks everyone. The eyes are really a non issue considering everything else. I just have to be aware of my vision and if it starts getting hazy...I have to call. Minor indeed.
I made a junk room out of my office. I just make sure I have room to get to the computer. LOL I keep saying I'm going to start getting rid of things, but always find an excuse. Every room in this house is a mess so don't know where to start.
Sorry about you daughter, Kathy. Sending lots of hugs and prayers to everyone.
Morning everyone. Coffee is ready.
My house isn't too bad right now. Of course, I have only lived here for two weeks so I haven't really made an effort yet!! But boxes - oh boy, do I have boxes and totes. But slowly we are getting things put to rights and hopefully I have gotten rid of enough so that what we still have left fits in here!!!!! Then I can start over again!!!
Would you like to come visit and help me downsize Barb? LOL There are days I think things are multiplying faster than I can get rid of it!!!
Love some coffee LK, will share some pound cake french fries if any one wants some....good with a little butter on them.
From now on Marion, my "getting rid of days" will consist of sitting in a chair telling someone else "that stays or that goes." I'm afraid all my stamina has left and I need to build myself up again...I told Norm that this is my forever home. No more moving.....
Pound cake sounds good Marion.
Barb, I can so relate to that. I am trying to get myself back into a "normal" routine but after 3 years I have days I keep thinking...next week I need to go south. I will still go but the urgency to be able to spend time with mom just isn't the same. I will accept rocking chair help. LOL
Wish I could just hop on a plane!!! Not now I'm afraid..
Maybe when things settle down and the finishing touches have been completed on the "dungeon" alias guest area, then you and Norm could make a trip south. Back door is always open to family and friends, front is for guest only. :-)
What a sweet thought Marion. I felt so bad that Norm used his vacation time this year to move us into our new home. He was lucky to get a couple days of rest. Next year will be so much better for us I hope!
Meant to add earlier that I had laser surgery on both eyes Marion and it was a piece of cake. Of course, I was a typical worrier prior to the first eye being done but it was so easy and the second was just as easy. It never ceases to amaze me though how we can find ways to get around difficulties like that. Thank heaven for magnifying glasses!!!!
I won't know for a while whether or not I will need the laser surgery. The doctor is suspecting but wants me to wait for 6 moths and have a recheck. It is amazing how things can be corrected so easily now a days.
Well, when you have the time, just remember the back door is open. :-)
Good morning sistahs.
Thanks for coffee LK. I'll take straight double please! I'm having a mug of lemon cake to go with that. One of those quick fixes, wish I have some of that pound fries! Kim really did a good job with the cake burger.
The name I was trying to come up with was marzipan, Marion. I know it will come back to me. Back then, that's what bakers use instead of fondant.
Hope you never need that surgery Marion, but if you do, good luck!
My eyes are clear, no sign of cataracts, but when the blood glucose numbers are high, they'd be 'hazy'. So I really can relate to that inconvenience.
Lutein seems to help.
By the way, I notice that Sleeping Beauty was intrigued by your Roll TIde posting! If that's from his fav. team, Ga. Dawgs, you'd be getting more than a polite query!! Lol!
Speaking of Dawgs.. anyone heard from Deborah lately?
Barb, glad to read that you delegate with the unpacking!! That will give you energy to celebrate your birthday tomorrow.
Sis Kathy, your daughter is now in my morning prayers.
Waving to Sue! Glad you're going gal!
Hey Pegi! I'm sure one room is just for crafts.
Can't seem to get going... after watering the plants. Cane in one hand, hose in another. Good thing for Bounce... if not I have to free one hand. BUT, I have to start on another child's quilt.
Oh.. before I forget... think I had mentioned that I have to cancel my Louisiana trip? My ex called up last night and told me that 2 nephews have offered to drive all the way here to pick me up and bring me back for Thanksgiving! That's 4 trips at 11 hours one way!!
Lord, I feel so special, but I have to turn that down. Went to bed happy with the thought that even though we're divorced, his family's affection for me hasn't changed.
For sistahs like Carole who's not on FaceBook.
Look at this cute marker, we all can use lots eh?
