lol. Well, kind of until last night. Been up a loooonnnng time already today. :)

It will be hot and humid this day and through the weekend but starting to cool down on Labor Day. I will be inside. I fill up the birdbaths and do a little watering and that's about it for being outside right now. Next week will be better for working outdoors.

I startled my one hummer this morning when I opened the door to the deck. I saw him yesterday eating from the Alabama Crimson honeysuckle and the jewelweed. No wonder I haven't seen him much with all the natural goodies he has right now. But I think he comes to the feeder every morning. Maybe just to visit me? I like to think so. :)

Well it appears to be day 3 and my lawn man hasn't shown up yet. Time to look for a new one!!!!

Yes, Jaye, Kim is very proud of her relationship with former students.....don't take me wrong but there are some that she isn't as happy about but that is life.

Starting to feel more like me today...just the aftermath of all that has happened over the past years. Hope to get some work done in the "dungeon" and then being able to paint!!! Wahoo!!

Well the current one isn't nice looking but very friendly...just has a problem showing up when he says he will. Next one will have to be "eye candy" quality. LOL

Marion, I'm glad you're off that ferris wheel and finally feeling some earth under your feet.
Besides the dungeon, you know you have the moat too.. don't remember whether it has a resident alligator.
Now all you need to have some uninterrupted peace is to keep the catnip away from BobbieSox.

Why yes we have a moat also. What would a dungeon be without a moat. Commonly know to others as utility room/hall. Why be like all others when Kim and I can be so different. Besides she is the one who started the names ......funny how they stuck.

Alligator? Nope, only in the lake. No Gators either (orange and blue variety), Catie-Beth would disown me.

It is good to start to feel the ground again but I still have times it is so hard to accept the fact mom is gone. Time will soften that as I know already. I am sure the time of year is having something to do with my reactions.

Having said that, I am slowly getting things sorted, a plan in place to move upward and onward. Goal: having sistahs come visit, and spending many hours at my sewing machine. If Kim is a good girl, then I will even consider preparing some meals for her. :-)

Yes, it arrived. It is so pretty and will be perfect among the cucumas I am hoping to get set out this weekend. I can not thank everyone enough for all the lovely things I received to help with my memory garden. Actually I refer to it as my "Sea of tranquility" area.

Been up since 7, but with what I read what has happened to a friend of a friend on FB, all I see is red, and still seeing red. Brought back nasty memories that NO woman should go through.

Long story short.
Ayu, an Indonesian girl living in Ky, had her son abducted by her husband a few days ago and left destitute.
No vehicle, no money, no job.. nothing!
She contacted the local police and found out that her husband had a restraining order against her, without her knowledge! It was done a week before and he was still living in the house! Obviously he has connections as her PILs aren't saying anything neither. AND they had a family dinner last weekend.
Right now the Indonesian community on FB are rallying around her, one took her in. She's illiterate, not a citizen yet, maybe that's why the bastard is taking advantage of her naivety.
He's hoping she'd return to Indonesia.

I got news for Ayu. When my ex did that to me, just 5 years in the States and not a citizen yet. I seek legal aid. Had LSU and UL collegiates to help me and a neighbour took me in.
The judge found out that I was still a permanent resident, and ORDERED ex to pay me alimony. As the papers that ex signed on the permanent app. papers stipulate that HE is responsible for my financial well being if needed.
You all should have seen his face. That judge knew his stuff!

Jaye, I love the towels that you made me! Too often the kitchen towels I use end up on the messy counter so they are less useful as the cooking project goes along. The hanging towels are what I use to dry off when I wash my hands between meats & veggies, etc. With them tied down, they are always where I need them and not covered in sauce, flour, or whatever messiness I happen to be making!

I love those gingers, Jaye....sure wish I could grow them here!

Marion, so glad that you like your tree. Please know that lots of love came along with it. I hope you and Kim are still getting peace from the armwrap quilt, too. If you get a chance, we would love to see pictures of it and you, as it gets passed from one sistah to another, it is so joyful to be able to see on it's journey.

It has been a funny week between many things needing to be done ASAP, being exhausted and the reality of everything starting to slowly seep into our lives. Kim was very close to her grandmother and so we both have been working through some issues. Healing has started so now maybe we can catch you with pictures and all..............including pictures of my new baby!

Wasn't a good day for me yesterday. That ugly depression head is trying to gain control. I had stopped taking meds for this for almost a year and the route I took to ward this off, seems to be working.
But yesterday, the heaviness paralyzed me. Got that crying bout for no reasons.
Then, anything Kel did seems to upset me. Even the way he eats!! Poor guy made the mistake of trying to make light of things.
Can't believe I hobbled outside, picked up a shovel from the garden, brought it in,with the intention of bashing his head.
His reflexes were fast! If not you'd see on the news today.. giant of a man beaten to a pulp by short Asian wife

I'm back to my normal self today. Told myself last night either I be a victim or a victor. Got to focus on 'rainbows' and not let the dark take over my mind.

Sis, I'm backing out of the reunion and all future reunions.
My gait is getting worse and I even have to cancel my trip to Louisiana.
Maybe that's why I am depress as the pain is gettng worse and don't be surprise that I might need a wheelchair all the time. Now I can only walk for a few minutes at a time. .
It's safer that I stay home and if I do have to go anywhere, I really need Kel with me.

Jaye does sewing help?? sure helps me, once I can convince myself to get to it!!! I have been in a depression here too. working on a quilt, and stumped on what colors to use for a block. Waylon was my color "go to guy" could ALWAYS help me get "unstumped" well he's not here anymore to ask.... I got so depressed I could not even bring myself to walk into sewing room!!!! that is bad. well yesterday I decided enough was enough!! and I just had to do something. came in and worked on birdhouse blocks.

still have to figure out colors for other blocks, arrghhhh!!! butttttt I feel much better for having done some sewing...

put away the shovel Jaye. ( been close to that myself a few times ) and do some sewing. I should be home all day ? if you want to call me? I don't always have a solution, butt I am a good listener!!! Love you much
