http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1328252/
just made points with Jeff..
He had emailed early this morning saying he was coming north with 5 guys to go boating, then would drop by..
I thought he was going into Georgian Bay but he decided to take them up Big Chute Marina to Swift Rapids for a swim and lunch at the local restaurant/bar. Said they had a magnificent time..
What I didn't know was they came in separate vehicles so all left for the city except Jeff who came to visit for 1/2 hour.
In the meantime I cooked a large pot of corn, beans, sliced up tomatoes and cuc's, luckily I did not order the pizza..
Jeff thought it was so sweet of me to think of all of them, he took a photo and sent it to the guys..just left taking corn for his supper seeing as Julie has supper ready for them it can be a side dish...
When he left I got a big kiss/hug, he was ready to leave and came back in to give me another kiss. Lol
Earlier I was telling him I was speaking to my mom yesterday, told her I'd have to visit, she told me I'd better before its too late..I said to Jeff that I'll have to use that on him one day, he burst out laughing, said I think grandma got that line from you!!
Always nice to see him..
Asked how Braedon is doing, said that he was junior councillor and after 2 week was made councillor, leading the troops up in Algonquin park
Now I can have hot bath and head to bed...
Hope you are all doing something more interesting than I tonight.

Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? Chat with friends
Debbie - so sorry to hear about Shannon's accident... luckily it was only bruises, and.... a car can be repaired..... there's a point at which people can't......
soft and gentle hugs to her, please, from me
Morning,
Chill in the air but promises to be a beautiful day!
Off to town, twofold trip,
Going to penetang, seems Paul has a quick sewing project for me to do so packed up my machine and ready to travel.
Then it's to Midland with the husqvarna machine..just doesn't sound right, only sewed a few test lines so before I start sewing with it want them to tell me that it's the way their machine sound before I put it to the test for quilting!
Probably a good idea to go in there anyhow Betty, meet the people you'll be dealing with where your machine is concerned.
Awwww Betty .. dontcha just wanna hug these 'big boys (men)' for hours !!!
Murray has also heard the "do it now before it's too late' sentence as well .. heck, what Mom doesn't throw that in for good measure when it's called for ^_^
Debbie, poor Shannon .. insurance (car) is totally outrageous ...
Hope her trip to the physiotherapist is a good one for her ..
Was cool overnight here, but, another day in the mid 80s today .. Lorna's DOUBLE NICKELS bday .. have a cake ordered and, we'll have Chinese Food for supper ....
Plan to stay home and perhaps ride in the Mule around the property, haven't done that in a long time, just have to watch we don't go where it's REALLY bumpy !!
Hope all have a perfect weekend !!
TOODLES
~M~
Good Morning and Good Day!!
Wow what a spectacular day it is too.
Even better, I am off for 2 whole days...well maybe, I may be going into work later.
Jacob and Richard are performing in a dance for Richards sister's Cattilion?
Can't wait to see it, they have been practicing for Months!!! LOL, both can't wait till it's over, lol
So, I just Gotta go see my boys do the real thing...
OMG, life is in a true whirlly gig for me!! A ton of learning as i go! I have learned I love helping people with their projects! Ohwah, now that all the redo's have been finished, (my entire first week) so our counts didn't mean boo to me and i was actually rather angry about all the waste of time, money and supplies, not to mention it ate away at my budget.
ROFLOL, do you know what my budget is?? I can tell you, it isn't what I get to spend!! It's what we bring in, lolol hands on the hips, well slap my face...So, you can't imagine, On Thursday, when our Manager, came over to announce we had Hit the 100% mark for the Week and the week ends today, so did a happy lil jig and got a high from 2 big managers AND, the best part is, Everything that left the house was in absolutely perfect order, woohoo big cheesy grin and a wink too!!
So, now for the not so great news, i am once again flying Solo, scared to death...I have no Print (computer person)...Oh the reason, The Little girl who was doing it, has the "gall" to go off to college!! hehe, Gave her a Thank you note and a giant Armwrap, hope she comes back....however, i didn't care for her very verbal, i don't care atitude, since Wednesday...I thought if i heard I don't caqre from her one more time i was gonna slap her.
which means i am basically running the show again...The Mgr, is trying so hard to find the right fit, thinks he may have one but she won't start for a while...The up side is i've met her, and Sabrina has worked with her. I asked Sabrina how she likes her and Breenie gave her a very Good review!
Now if Breenie likes her Work, I am seriously good to go. LOL you have to know Breenie, she has an incrediblle work ethic . I value her opinion tremendously!! I think tonight, if i go in after seeing the boys, We will get a ton of stuffs done...Yikers will end up working until 11 or later, so got to get my rest in too...
OH yeah, almost forgot to tell you, yesterday, guess who got her very own business cards!! Ohwah, all these years of working, I've never had one...hehehe, I feel so important.
It's back to school season and We are absolutely insane...should "lesson:" soon.
Haha, story of my life to start at THE busiest time of year. What can i say I'm soooo Loving it!
Ok so off I must go, got to go be thankful to an associate taking his time to work for us today, from another store!! Thought, i'd bring him a gift card or go get whatever he want for lunch...
Big, Big, smiles and Armwraps to you all!!
I miss you all so much, I hope everyone is well.
P.S. (((((((((((((((((((Marion))))))))))))))))))))))
Yeowza Marion, you're a real going concern!
Do so hope your new computer worker is as awesome as Sabrina says she is.
WOW, a 'cotillion' sounds lovely. Hope the boys do well.
Stores here, especially Staples are filled with back to school sales.
Hugs
M
Hello there,
Judy, so nice seeing you post..sounds like you've got the job down to a "t".. Great news..am sure management is thrilled with your performance. Are you now in the Glenville Store? Will you be working hand and hand with Sabrina?
Enjoy your 2 days off, no planning to fill every minute of the day..a good book, beer in hand (no cigarette) and listen to the birdies sing in the back yard.
"M" ride through the property on the Mule sounds like fun..careful though. Yep, probably all moms use the same phrase. Lol. Kids know our trick..just wait till they use them
Can't believe all I accomplish this mornimg, hit my target being home by noon, happy camper..
Went to Paul with my machine, got another tarp and zipper fixed, told him I'd be early..arrived at 7:55 and guess who is in bed..drats, guess early for me is not early for someone else.
Then off to the seniors home to visit Ncle Allan, he was so excited that I took time for a visit, then on to my aunt Exilda/Uncle Louis's (Joyce they asked abut you and how your visit went) then off to Midland to the Husqvarna shop..had brought my Janome with me for Paul's project then and the Saphire..Juanita was teaching a class but she took time to demonstrate hemming jeans..infact I did learn something which was great..says my machine sounds ok so more confident at setting up a quilt..the main street was closed for a festival so had to park 2 blocks away and carry the machine, guess who will pay for that?
I'm in a swap and believe the lady I have whom I've never seen on a swap I'm on had a like of 'religious' so stopped into the Martyrs Shrine, many of you gals visited the Shrine and Fort Ste. Marie amongst the Hurons on your visit with me..got a few items to include in the swap box..there were several gorgeous pieces but I refrained as the signify catholic and I'm not sure she's catholic and didn't want to offend in anyway so bought things that just might get me through..busy/busy at the Shrine, as always filled with tourist.
Here I am, pulled into the drive, got out of the car and could feel 'fall' in the air even though it's in the hight 70's
Going to make something to eat, look for a project to include in my swap box that I want to mail out Monday and paint it outside..sounds like a relaxing afternoon/evening.
Now what can I pick up that would make my swap buddy smile..must be some project
No sooner did I last post that I got the urge to go to the stained glass studio.. Gayle needed to chat about some changes n her life, 2 hrs later with glass and bevels in hand I was on my way home..
Surely I could get back on track...
drove into the driveway and Ann right behind me..we sat on back deck and chatted last few hours.
Where to start?
Can't even mentally absorb what these little ones are enduring..
Both are over the 2 pound mark, that is a plus
Alexandro has been having seizures, back on air, they have had to revive him at least 5 times this past week.
Addy is a fighter as well..so many health issues
Ann said that the hospitals have 'beads of courage', a colorful necklace, ie blood transfusions might be yellow, being revived might be red, operations gold etc etc
She said their necklaces at 5 weeks have such an array of color and almost full
She is optimistic that they will survive, believing that the Lord will answer all prayers but still with every ring of the telephone she cringes, not wanting to answer just incase.
Said she painted a mural in the babies room, jungle scene, she's a great artist and said she almost worried than the babies will be jinxed in her doing so, but she needs to prepare for their coming home..they will come home!
Ann is in good , Melissa not so good, nearing the breaking point..there is a new program at both hospitals where Melissa would be enrolled n a test program to assist when doctor's do rounds I.e. keeping notes, helping feed via intervenes, working with necessary breathing support equipment..would mean 6-8 hrs daily being at hospital at 6am..Ann is not sure Melissa is up to it. Been having a few breakdowns. Melissa's only sister Lee-Ann is staying away, says she doesn't want to get close to the babies for fear they shall pass on ..Ann says Melissa really needs her sister but is finding it difficult to be between them
Soooo much stress
Ann asked me to let you know that she feels your prayers and thanks each and every one of you.
She will send me photo's so I can post for you
Ann said that The doctor is hopeful for her nephew Toby..they believe they have all the cancerous tumor..Ann was so relieved but then she received a call this morning saying he wasn't dong well..only hopes its a small set back.
Ann said to say her prayers are with you Barb and you Joyce & Bill..
Almost too late for me to start something right? Maybe a hot bath, Jammie's and just relax for the rest of the evening!
Judy,Judy who is that good looking chic. Lol
Wow wee bet Steve let out a whistle..look at you girl, looking mighty fine
Enjoy

Thanks for the update on those two precious angels! It must me so hard on everyone! Sorry to hear her Sister feels that way. If it were my Sister, imwould be there for her.
Sending lots of prayers for all!
Judy, look at you, you get gussied up mighty perrty! Love that dress! Have fun, and you better have your camera with you!
Her sister needs to realize who it is that needs the support. Those babies need love as long as they are here. Ours only lived one day, but we sat by them loving them as much as we were allowed.
I'm sure that they felt every bit of that love..
Finished putting leaves on my Halloween pumpkin runner, at odds with myself this afternoon..thought I should invite Ann and Darlene for supper tomorrow, called Ann, she was crying, just got a call from Rachael saying Toby was put into isolation, infection, burning up with fever so she will let me know as she might head for the city..with Toby's mom dying of cancer last year and Ann being as close to his mom as it gets she feels she should be there...
Big sigh
Sending prayers for Toby!
Judy, you look beautiful! Have a wonderful night!
Betty, prayers for all the families. No easy situation at all.
Waving to all
Early Morning "hi"
Happy Birthday Mary..may your day be filled with sunshine. Was dinner celebration at in-laws yesterday or today?
Wonder how Jean is doing?
Debbie how is Shannon, hopefully pain isn't as bad.
With all going I heard today in the lives of friends my mind just won't shut down tonight!
Tempted to get up
Morning everyone!
Betty, I sure hope you got some sleep? If you had that flexeril, you would be sleeping soundly!
Morning again..
Did doze off and on in the couch, slow moving today. Spent last 1/2 hr chatting with Darlene and now ready to start my day.
Katie, Katie we need an update..you've been quiet for much too long!
How is your week going with the kids Lindakay? Bet they go home spoil.
Lovely day here, will go set up a quilt then will go deadhead, hate the look of fall in the gardens with all the spent flowers..time to tidy up.
Took out spaghetti sauce from the freezer if by chance the girls do come for supper I'll just need to make a sald and pick up rolls..
What have you all got planned for the day?
Morning again!
The boys sure do keep this Grandma busy. They love to play with the iPad, but I try to limit the time they play with the computers. I make them play with hot wheels or GI Joe's. Yesterday they spent a long time with the coloring books, and filled Grandma's fridge with pictures they colored! And of course they love time in the pool too!
My daughter used to make her kids have "no electricity" hours. They had to spend so much time doing things that didn't require electricity in order to earn game time.
Morning all .. ^_^
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all who fit the bill for Aug. 18 !!
Lorna's BDay yesterday was nice. Spent the day outside, ordered in Chinese Food and had a cake .. it was SO HOT here, in the high 80s with that OH SO brilliant sunshine.
Prayers remain for the wee ones and everyone else who is in need of a few extra ones ..
Am thinking I might go for a ride into town to Timmies for a tea. I can't dive for another few weeks, but, I am getting 'house bound fever' !!
All I seem to do is exercise and pick up stuff , but, DO NOT bend, twist or turn !! GADS .. is that tough or what!!??
Best get on to doing another set of EXERCISES ~~~~~~~~~~~~
TOODLES
~M~
PS .. lovely pics Judy !
Happy Birthday Mary! wishing you peace, love and happiness.
my cousin's and his wife who lived next door to me on the lake had a special room filled with treats, food/entertainment.
the four girls would get their allowance and could spend as they wished..the monetary amount was put into a log and the girls would buy what they wanted, subtracted from amount of allowance and knew what their balance was..they were no more than 5 or 6 and could do 'easy math'
what was in the treat store was all healthy..I thought at the time what a grand idea that was.
Karen, no electricity hours would be fantastic as well..guess parents these days just don't have the time to put such programs in place.
LindaKay, your week will soon be up right? when do they start school..everyone has different dates.
There you go "M" now you've made me want to drive to timmies for donuts and coffee..reminds me, haven't had breakfast, guess I should..maybe toast and jam but not as good as yours.
much the same weather here..right now it's 67 degrees, lovely day and here I'm in the basement, quilting 2 pillow shams just to make sure machine is working before I set up queen size quilt on the frame
should move my butt and get outside for awhile, fefore you know it winter will be here and I'll be complaining.
How are you doing Dianne???
Are you still having dizzies?
Hello and good morning to you!
Awe thank you about my photos!
Breenie and I have grown so much together. Im guessi.g its because if working together...or at least in the same building...while at work its all about business anf home very much home life and just being us. PRIOR TO (oops caps) this I rarely got to see her.
Betty, to answer your question, we will be working closely when our hours match. Right now because of our situation...hours fir both of us are very sparatic...Bteenie loves to be a closer, hours while I am mostly an opener, 8_4 or 9_5 either way Im there about 730 to 7
PRETTY much I call my own time, lol. MY Manager books me for about 32 hours a week, but I am allowed to work up to 40...roflol., this is just for my traini.g purposes and extended lunches, when were not insane, i might take 45 minutes opposed to the alotted 1/2 hour.
well it sounds as though it's just about perfect..exactly what you were looking for in the employment field and add working some hours with Breenie..well can see why you are excited..
sure was a great photo..how did your evening go
photo's of the babies and grandma Ann painting a mural for their room..
...I am on tablet so whrn I cant see txy anymore its time to send post!!
So anywho...Breenie did my make make up, we had so much fun, omg, she is a true artist...we laughed and goofed, especially when I thought how gentle she was, until she start shifting my face to see whats what. Lol, I made a comment and her immediate come back was to remind me of two things, its painful to be gorgeous and roflol, remember when you used to braid my hair!!...(moving the head to where we need it)hahaha.
Yep Betty, it was so nice to get beautiful...oh yeah Steve was in his glory!
When Breenie took my photos, i felt like I was on project runway!!
Oops haveto go for a minute!!

Hey Linda kay, teehee thanks...omg that dress is about 10 years old. Such memories came back. I bought it on clearance for An obscene 50 bucks!!! Lolat the time it waa the last dress on the rack in just the size i needed., it was originally some crazy price of Some three hundrwd.
Roflol, last night was only tge third time Ive worn it! Whew was so glad it still fits.
So you have the grands this week? How fun, t will be great to start the school year visiting Grandmama first!! Sure Hope its a grand time for all.
Well dumb and dumber are stirring!! Time to go
Make myself verbal....my gosh so not what I had planned for the day!
Love the guys photo Judy!
Yes I have the boys till Sunday morning, will take them back home, so they can get school clothes and supplies all ready for Monday. School, starts on the 26th down here.
Omg....rereading posts!! Good heavens, and heavy laughter at my spelling!! In my defence im blaming it on this crazy tabby of mine!
Linda kay are they excited about school? I used to love the new school year just to go shopping especially for shoes!! Gosh how i miss earth walkers!!
Yep I said earth walkers, thats how old I am!!
Guess who I saw on Friday night?? Black Sabbath, oh my gosh, Im not really into their music but it was so worth it to see and hear Ironman live!! Well not mention seeing the crazy Ozzie!! We had a great time!! Yikers beer was 12 bucks!!
Oh good gosh!! Time to go in as it was just announced to the neighborhood how cadin the 8 year old furball next door went potty all by herself!!!
Roflol next time birdie poops im gonna cheer out loud!!
Oh, would like to see Ozzie once I think....Love Sweet Child of mine and crazy train. My son used to play that.....and November Rain (Guns & Roses) for me.
Sitting here chuckling about the furball next door and Skittles!!!
They are excited for the new school year to start. Rory will be in 3rd grade, and is also in the gifted and talented for the first time. Nicholas will be in 10th grade, but still in special ed classes. He is going to be 16 in December but has the mind of a 7 year old. He does not speak much and it is hard for him to follow directions. He can be difficult at times.
I saw Ozzie a few years ago. I really enjoyed it. That is the only concert I have been too. When we have our next gsthering we need to find a concert to go to!
Can tell I'm the grannie here, hate to say don't know those bands or songs..
See you are into the neighbors Judy. Lol bit overboard aren't they?
Jake sure is a handsome man, how he's matured.
You got a bargoon for sure on the dress...I've several expensive outfits, will never fit into them in this lifetime, you are one lucky lady that you are still trim and fit.
Darlene dropped in after visiting with her mom then Ann called, when she heard that Darlene was here she rushed over with her laptop to show use video of those grandchildren moving about..what angels they are.
Both left and coming back for supper..was going to put a quilt on the frame but only have an hour or so before company come for din/din..hopefully I'll not burn it!
Kids do love summer vacation but nothing like getting back into a routine and back with their friends.
Nicholas must be a dear..bet you treasure your time with him..how far away do they live, knew you drove an hur or so to pick them up? Miss the grandkids coming for a weeks vacation, that time went all too fast
They live in San Antonio. It is a 3 hour trip.
I agree. Time goes too fast. I love having the kids here. Wish I could get custody of them sometimes. DIL refuses to get him the medical treatment and therapy he needs. She says it is up to the school!
Hiya
I'm on my tablet as well, typing is so small!
Pics of the babies are wonderful, as is Ann's painting.
Went down to the lake today for a drive. Lake Superior was a bit rough, some awesome waves.
Will be taking Lorna's folks to this place so her Dad can drop a line in. Who knows, he might catch a Walleye (Pickerel )
I am so happy, and, excited too. I decided to stop using the walker, am now using my cane and getting along quite sell, yayaya
Re the rock concerts, been to many, likely why my hearing sometimes goes on vacation on me. Lol
Off to do exercises
Toodles
