Morning
Sunshine is out and they are calling for a freak weekend weather wise, good thing as I have 2 weekends of yard duty I didn't get done.
Debbie, how is Shannon this morning, sometimesmit's worse a few days later when the body is not in shock
Julie, asking as well, how far alonfpg is Destiny?
Not sure Barb, think LindaKay was asking Dianne who totaled the Delta Royale 88...gorgeous car..bet Santa Warren was wearing a sad face.
barb, are you ready for the big move this weekend..guess you will be glad when it's behind you?
Bev, how are the sales going, have you been able to make a few $$$
Lordy, I've been sleeping in all week until 6:30 then am rushing about. Maybe after a restful weekend I will be caught up on resting after my trip and can get back into a routine.
What plans do you all have for this coming weekend?
Best I get a move on
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? chat with friends
What fun that will be LindaKay..how old? How will you entertain them?
Betty, listen to your body, you have been one busy lady, and driving takes a toll on ones body. You need the rest. Glad to hear your sleeping in. How is the neck doing?
Rory will be 9 in October, and Nicholas will be 15 in Dec. we have lots of building blocks, and hot wheels here for them, plus they love time on Grandma's iPad.
you will have loads of fun with them LindaKay..nice to have holidays with grandma!
When Greg dropped in he said Jeff and my youngest grandson Caleb who just got back from 5 weeks of camp were kayaking the trent last week and Greg went to visit with them, wouldn't you know it would be the same week I was away. Jeff and 5 men from his work are coming up and taking the Foxy Lady out tomorrow, calling for nice deay weatherwise so they should have a good time..glad the Lady is venturing out as I was thinking I would put her for sale seeing she's been a lawn ornament these past few summers.
As for the shoulder/arm, pain the same, Rita has me on arnica montana, she is a firm believer that it will help so am trying it..bought some 'freeze' spray, not really helping..taking meds.
Bought a gel pad that you press button and it releases chemicals within, gets hot/hot/hot, will release the chemicals tomorrow seeing I'm at home..won't complain, so many worse off than I.
Monday I rested, Tuesday I repaired Paul's tarps, yesterday did the 2 pillow sham tops for Mel's xmas box and today I brought in a bag with squares that I was doing a halloween table runner..will see if I can get that done then quilt it over the weekend..soon will be time to get Ms. Noseworthy out of back shed and all fall decorations, my oh my, where did the summer go?
I agree. Summer just zipped by.
When you see orange/red starting in the trees you know fall is here.
Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) starts tomorrow, always a sign that summer is almost over.
Will be going to the CNE next week as my niece Nikki is competing with her singing/song writting..Sharon would never forgive me if I didn't go.
48F here this morning .. unimpressed, but, rumour has it (as in the fibbing weather lady) that temps are going to creep up into the mid 80s today, and, into the weekend! Believe it when it happens.
Nice to hear the 'Foxy Lady' is going for a dip :-) I can imagine it'll be a fun time.
Sorry to hear about the pain factor not diminishing Betty .. if you do go to your doc, ask about flexeril.
WAS going to go and try to get some fresh picked peas today, but, am thinking I'll just stay put .. still have another set of exercises to do, the 'toughies'.
Sure hope Shannon has a better day ..
LindaK, enjoy the boyz .. apparently DH and myself (or Lorna) will be moving into my son's home to watch after their 2 in January while he and his wife go to the Dominican .. a 12 yr old and a 15 yr old, already stressing over it LoL
Have a stellar day

Bill got his test results back on Tuesday morning. It was down to 1.67. So they put him back on the same schedule he was on before and they want to test him on the 26th. It’s not just a finger stick, unfortunately, we are going to our family Dr. for the test because it only cost the lab fee from them which is $7.00. If we go to the cardiologist, it is $24.00. Not sure if they charge a visit charge or not. When Dad got his checked, it was $17.00 but he had Medicare and insurance. We don’t have insurance so the $7.00 works for us. Just wish she wouldn’t have to draw tubes and she almost always does 2 instead of one. Only one stick of course.
Love the letter, Marilyn, they certainly don’t get praise often. When we were in we filled out card after card naming nurses and aides that were doing a great job.
Inuk is lovely. How is the puppy? Should be going to its’ new home soon I’d think, or is she going to keep her for another show dog?
Oh no, Debbie! So sorry to hear about Shannon’s accident. Glad she wasn’t hurt worse. I bet you were scared to death! Was the policeman from Canada, eh?
Betty, what’s a “freak” weekend in Victoria Falls?
Tuesday was Hosta Club meeting at “Meadowview Nursery”. We had a tour of the facility. I had no idea it was as big as it is. Covers 15 acres. I had a moment of weakness and bought a Joe Pye Weed bush. This one is a dwarf and is called “Baby Joe”. Hope it still gets those beautiful pink/rose blooms on it.
Yesterday was lunch with my girls day out group. We celebrated one of the girls birthdays and went to a restaurant called “Grand Finale”. Oh my, yum, yum, yum! I got ginger chicken which came with roasted, glazed walnuts and a spinach crepe. Thought I’d died and gone to heaven. There were 6 of us, and 4 had desserts. 3 got the same thing, a double chocolate cheesecake with a vanilla sauce and Bertie got a Key Lime pie. I couldn’t have eaten dessert if my life depended on it! I was so stuffed. But Bertie insisted I take a bite of her pie. So I did! ^_^ Then we went to another girlfriends house and toured her garden. After that, back to my house to see mine and sold 5 mushrooms. Bertie had said no one could come to her garden cause it was such a mess. They’re redoing their garage from ceiling, to drywall and new concrete, door, the works. She’s been canning and freezing like crazy and hasn’t had time to be out and do weeds and such, but she changed her mind and we went there, too.
I cleaned house today. Came home had a bite of lunch and now I’m going to go make some more mushrooms. This coming Tuesday, is daytime garden club and after eating at Olive Garden I will invite them here. Several have asked for mushrooms, so I may as well, have them come and pick them out themselves. The O/G is just about 5 miles from here, so it will be on their way home anyway.
Sorry to hear about Darlene's Mom. Just happy she wasn't already in Florida when this happened. Sorry to hear the babies are struggling and that Ann's nephew is not doing well. I'm sure she's exhausted. Sending prayers and hugs to both of them.
Didn’t mean to write a book!!!
Joyce, might have been on drugs when I wrote that..will go back and see exactly what I wrote lol
Here's hoping all those mushrooms sell ..nice to make extra cash! Maybe next year I'll get ambitious and do same. Is Grand Finale a chain restaurant, nothing like enjoying a good meal..the best ever I had at a chain was in Branson, lordy with each bite you stopped to enjoy the flavor..not just me but all the girls said same.
Now is your meeting up with the garden girls over for 2013 or do you continue through winter?
Not being knowledgeable in health field is 1.67 a good reading?
I start work/training on Aug 26 - don't know anything until then......
I will be shutting this down later this afternoon and won't be back on much before next Tuesday. I'll be happy to get this move over!!! Both Norm and I are wiped out! Praying for everyone to remain safe until I get back here....
Praying for Shannon, Betty, and others!
Destiny is almost 7 weeks! So exciting to know we're gonna have a baby in the house! Praise God!
I didn't want to know the sex of any of my children. I looked forward to that moment when the doctor said "It's a ..." Could have had ultrasounds, but didn't. Had amniocentesis with Trais, but I strictly told them, "I don't want to know the sex!"
Hope this brings a smile to your morning! Look who stopped by to meet me! My own "Angel"... Sandy aka ilovejesus99! Aren't we a beautiful pair! love you, Sandy
Have a great and beautiful day! Love, Julie ♥
Oh I love that picture! I met Sandy earlier this year at a round up in Texas! She is the sweetest lady! What is she doing in your area?
I love you linda
Love you too Sis! (((((((HUGS)))))))
Very nice picture of Julie and Sandy .. look happy ^_^
Betty, how's the neck and shoulders holding out ? I can only hope, better ..
An INR of 1.6 tells you the blood is thicker .. normal level is between 2-3.
When I worked midnights, my mornings between 0530 and 0700 were a juggling match of patients glucose levels and how much insulin to give them, and, adjusting the dosages of coumadin/warfarin for the patients on it with regards to their INR reading .. no wonder i went home and couldn't sleep !!
I wish Barb and Norm a seamless move, smooth as silk ...
ME? Exercise seems to fill my day, and, today I am just plain lazy, still firing off the exercises, but, napping in between .. Lorna went into the city to have her prosthesis worked on, should be home anytime, and, DH just left for his Friday afternoon with 'the cronies' .. he took Lilly and Piper in for their grooming today .. they look wonderful!!
Temps of 83F (NO humidity) today .. so .. am heading outside to enjoy the rest of the day :-)
Hope all are well

Afternoon,
Just dropping in with a quick 'hi'
Was up early, Sharon got here just after 8am and just left, set of curtain(will tell you a story when I get back) 2 seating pads 18" x 56"' and 3 bed cushions..tired now
Have a 3:10 appt for hair
Then Jeff and 5 of his friends are dropping in a bit later, hope not for din/din..if he does then it's pizza palace for sure.
Gab when I. Get back from trying tomake myself look human
awwww Julie - u and Sandy look happy to be hugging!! :-)
Photo of you and Sandy Julie brought a smile..been what seems forever since I've been on a thread where Sandy frequents..how is she doing? How far from each other are you?
Barb here's hoping all goes well, know how anxious you are to have a little corner of the world for sewing and with Norm working know you did a bit more than you should have to help out..
Sure glad I never had the incling "M" to become a nurse, Lordy would have been scary for patients, quite a responsibility..Sharon had to take a few months off except for Sunday night to help out at the plaintive care center, just exhausting .
"M" you are recouping the right way, not trying to overdo and resting..will soon be behind you.
Bought a few dozens of local corn, fresh Belen's, tomatoes and cuc's, thought if the gang did drop in it would at least be easy to cook up and make sandwiches
Debbie, how's Shannon doing?
What is Belen's, Betty?
Betty, physically she is healing, will take time for the bruises to heal. She will start physical therapy
on Monday morning.
The bad news, her car was total loss. Not worth the amount of repairs, so she will not have car
for work or school. AND...she is not driving mine. Not with her driving record...no way!
DH had said at one time to get me newer vehicle and give her the van...but she said it is
too big to drive. I told her "beggars can't be choosers".
Paul is home, talking about going out to dinner.
Be back in a bit.
Debbie
This iPad, should have said beens. Lol
Debbie, sorry to hear about Shannon's vehicle, means you will be playing taxi again. Will what she gets from the insurance at least pay for what is left on the car?
Dread to think of ow tragic it could have been.
She has had 2 or 3 accidents, doubtful she'll get insurance other than being on yours..
Feel so badly for her
Waiting to hear that Betty, I don't know right now. She will NOT be on our insurance.
It was over 5,000 extra to put her on our insurance. She has to have her own. Two of the
accidents were deer struck....which don't count against the license I believe.
The picture of the accident made the paper. Sigh. Entire front passenger axl was snapped.
Insurance adjuster said they stopped counting $$ when damage was over $9,000 for repairs
and climbing...and totaled vehicle.
Wow Debbie, Shannon is one lucky young lady! What a tremendous amount of money a young one has to pay for insurance, no wonder some drive without and take their chances.
Think Kyle pays $145 a month
Always though even if an animal is involved it goes against you as care and control means you must be alert at all oncoming, might be wrong or it could be different here in Canada.
I'd so love to have a bath and head to bed but want to wait for Jeff..if they are having fun boating the might stay out till dusk especially seeing there is no wind, Georgian bay should be enjoyable.
