Was so nice to see Crissy, was sorry that we couldn't get a ticket at same time for her to join us on the 'duck'..drats, was disappointing!

Had a great "duck" ride, Tribute show was as best as it gets..you'll never guess who I took a liking to. Lol. I will have photo's to post when I get home..

Mary, there was a tour going around that had all kinds of artifacts and treasures from the ship, what it was like, size replications, etc.

Just got in, Presley Family show was the best..certainly Vegas quality. Crissy came as well, we just had a late supper and now crawling into bed!

Mary it will be late evening when we arrive tomorrow, now you said you will be in NOLA Wednesday? Please post when you are thinking you could be in the French quarter..d mail me your cel number so I can call.

The Titanic is a replica of the front of the ship that broke off, to scale, iceberg as well.

You are given a boarding pass with a name of a passenger, unit of history of their personal life is included..at the end of the voyage you find out what your fate is. I drowned at age of 22..Crissy survived, lived to be 85, never married and died of a stroke in New York.

I was amazed at the grand staircase we climbed to be in First Class.

Lordy, there was an area that had a container with a timer next to it, water inside was kept to the water temperature of the ocean that fateful night. I managed to keep my hand submerged for 15 seconds only, Crissy I believe was close to 20 seconds..hard to believe anyone could have survived.

The Titanic tour sounds amazing. My Mom was to have been on the Titanic .. she was born in Jan 1912, and my grandparents left to travel to board her, but, the wagon wheel fell off their wagon .. they missed the ship. Relatives in Belfast have their tickets. It's always been a story much re told in the family.

Dreary and cool here AGAIN today .. thinkin the physiotherapist is popping round, I'm done with the nurse .. nice scar ..

Linda, every time I think about it I realize how fortunate I am to have been born.
I have 3 much older brothers (2 deceased ) and I was a 'menopause' surprise for my parents lol. At family gatherings the Titanic story usually comes up.

For some reason or another, my dang back is pitching a fit. I have kind of a wonky lower back (nurses back ), think the culprit is the hip surgery, I'm not supposed to bend or twist, easier said than done in my case, so I'm trying to cool my jets!
Just hate seeing stuff that needs to be done, and, I can't do it, grrrrr

I've been so busy with the kids that it's hard to get to the computer! They went back to school today, so it's been quiet and lonely around here!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Colt and Angele had the ultrasound Saturday and the baby is a boy! Super excited just to be Nannie again! YES!

Physioterrorist visited this aft ..was pleased with my progress AND, added some MORE exercises which are notably more difficult to do, but, will strengthen 'other muscles' .. 3 new exercises 2 times a day (20 times) .. guess I'll start tonight .. ugggg ....

Poured rain most of the afternoon, seems the Hummingbirds LOVE the rain, we have about 5 of them flying around trying to catch run one another, have been some near collisions with humans a few times !!!

Best get ready for my half hour of entertainment (NO not the local news) LoL, Coronation Street .. hooked on it for YEARS!!

Dianne sent me pics of Diesel the other day, I am sure she won't mind if I share them with you all. She has been battling storms again Mary, looses power as she is"way out" and on the lake area. SO, if storms brew...they come with wind.

Wish I could make it to NOLA today to see y'all, Betty! I wanted to go watch the Saints open practice one morning, but haven't been able to do that, either. Their first pre-season game is Friday night, so I'll be playing "Couch Coach!" I'd be in my car driving now if I could! Have fun and be safe!

Supposed to be a hot 95 today and with all the rain, it's just like steam outside! I don't mind the heat, but the humidity is horrible!

Yes,physioterrorist sometimes fits the bill. Mine is a young woman, very fit, and just full of vim and vigor. Mind,she is fully aware I will not be peeling off these new exercises....quickly!
See my family doc today, DH is going to have his hands full as I will have a fair piece to walk with the walker, I refuse to go back to the wheelchair.
Good ol doc isn't even aware I had the surgery as he was on holiday.

Dianne has had some inclement weather in her part of Ontario, we've been way cool and rainy here.

My Mom was 43 when I came along. My oldest brother had a 2 month old son when I was born.

Highlight of my trip as always is meeting up with Dg friends..been blessed to meet up with Mary for supper..what a wonderful friend, to have her drive into town to visit with me..

Enjoyed listening to all your plans, what an adventure you and Lance will be on..lucky you..may it be and do everything you would ope it will be

Both Mary and Crissy you have no idea just how special it makes me feel haing you do so. Sure wish I could have met up with Jean..perhaps another year!

Betty the gentleman I talked to in the parking lot was telling me how the hotel was so flexible in not charging them parking because they had stayed there before... I agree with LK... you should not pay for the suite it should be a free upgrade.... anyway the man was so impressed with the mushrooms... beautiful can't wait to place them in their special spot and upload a pic. I did not get a pic with Betty so will have to wait for her to upload....

Joyce -I'm "Jealous back" because you have gotten to see her more than me and even been to her house LOL.... (friendly rivalry)

Had a little difficulty getting home... the way I know to get to Interstate from Canal was blocked due to construction. Luckily for some odd reason I had uploaded mapquest app to my phone earlier today.
It talked me through an alternative.
You have to be careful in New Orleans if you don't know where you are going you can end up in a bad spot and the sun was going down. (HUGS Debbie RE; your friend)

But made it home just fine.

I know different 'pods' of DGers have had 'get togethers' .. I'd likely have to wait for one in either Minnesota or down Betty's way, which is a 2 day drive away.

Sounds as though today and tomorrow are filled to overflowing with things to do. ENJOY !!!

MAN is it cool here !! DH left the kitchen window open a bit last night and this morning it was 52F in the house !!! The sun is slowly warming it up though.

Was given 3 new exercises by the physioterrorist on Tuesday .. the 5 I do in bed are so easy, but, these three are done OUT of bed, and, AGAINST gravity .. my poor butt is killin me LoL
NO pani, NO gain I guess.
Went to see out Family doc yesterday, he was away when all this happened, he was happy I'd had it done and pleased with my recovery. Turns out that while he was on holiday, he and 4 friends flew up north fishing and, he got bit by a deer tick, didn't catch it til the BULLS EYE rash came out :-( so, he's on antibiotics to try and prevent Lymes Disease.

Best get a wiggle on .. I am going to TRY and make breakfast .. if it involves bending, I'm done for .. otherwise, I am headed outside to warm up in the sun ..

I have been reading and trying to keep up...but only in passing. I am really trying to clean out some things in this house. We have one big bedroom to go which was a "catch all" and then the attic!!! DH even has the basement 3/4 DONE! Oh it looks so much better.

Anywhere Betty is, there's a party going on!!!! She can't help it, SHE STARTS IT!

Today was house cleaning day for one of my ladies and it rained so it was a good day to do it.

Bill had his INR checked and last time it was 2.6 and this time it was 7 something. Oh the Dr. is not happy at all. Told him to stop taking his Warfarin until Monday. Bill is scared to stop taking it in case there is some kind of error at the lab. He researched and read that people can bleed to death with a reading of 6! Geesh... always something!

Cookie, that is normal for the readings to jump up and down! My dad is on coumadin, and has to be checked every other week. One week it is too low, the next time it it too high, so they re constantly adjusting his meds to try and fix it! it also has a lot to do with his diet.
Please read this info, and make sure he is not eating these items...

Joyce, my levels jumped liked that also. Finally I ended up taking a "5" and alternate with a "2.5" the next day...and did that the entire six months.

And YES check the food list!! I remember no broccoli, or blackberries (sigh) but check out the list.
