I saw the new prince when they walked out on the steps from the hospital! Could not see much of him all wrapped up! Still no name, they can take up to 2 weeks to name him! Poor thing, they have had 9 months to think about it, now he has to go un-named a bit longer!

Normal escrow is 30 days, and yes my stuff is in storage. I just have my clothes and bedroom set, Dave took the rest. Shoot, he gave me the dining table then told the attorneys that I stole it when I was taking my bedrooms set so I had to give it back. Funny, we make a list splitting everything and he took almost all of it and then says "You can have the dining table" so I go get it then he tells the attorneys that I stole it so I have to give that back. When I tell the attorneys he took all my stuff he blames it on a roommate he had living at the house and I hear "There's nothing we can do about that." What a crock of crap.

Crissy, if it was in writing, the judge should make him give it back!

He said his ex roommate stole it, which I know it's not true, and the judge told him the rest of his belongings he will need to sell to pay me, which hasn't happened. Shoot, he told me last week that I could have his belongings, all I would have to do is come get them, I'll pass on that!!

Morning all, what a drop in temps, imagine I turned on the heater in the car just to take the chill off, was 56 when I left home this morning.

Waving to all others, love the photo Kathy, I took Roger's boss's kids to see the Stooges at the Canadian Exhibition ions ago, lordy more than ions ago, don't think I had kids then.

Dropped into Darlene's last night, stayed about 1 1/2 hrs. OMG her new place is something else..luxurious to say the least. She is exhausted and was a bit overwhelmed with her leaving her and Mike's home which they built yesterday after final inspection, to be expected..now on with a new life, exciting because she has her new place in Ft.Myers and will be leaving in October to spend the winter there..

just before bed I saw I had a voice mail, was Bernice calling but it was too late to
call, will do so shortly, perhaps they've made a decision as to staying at my place while I'm away..ohhh if so that means I'd best get some cleaning done in corners and under the beds lol

so what's up with you all today?

I think I am going to get the sewing machine out, and work on some birdhouse blocks. I have a few different patterns, and I will see which one is best?

Crissy, don't you worry a bit! Karma will bite him in the butt big-time one day and then you can be happy knowing that he deserved it. Meanwhile, I hope that you find cheer with your new circle of friends here. :)

Has anyone heard from "M"?

Keeping the twins in my prayers. Little Angel I watched had a brain bleed
and as I stated, she has really bad vision but is also a cheerleader now at age
14. She was 1lb 11 oz when born. Don't give up hope.

It is a zoo here. Shannon s blood work came back from all those tests last week
and it is scary. There are still more to come in, but I am just floored. She doesn't
know anything yet, so no need to tell her til next week when rest come back and we
have the entire picture.

I did make a blackberry pie today...it smells heavenly! I am not much of a baker so
hope it is edible. AND...fire alarm didn't go off!

What's wrong with the blood work? Praying it is not too serious!

Well, her immune system is in the bucket like mine...which we figured.

BUT her cortisol level is through the roof. It could mean anything from
tumor on adrenal glands or pitutary gland....it could be an issue with one of
those screwed up severely from the cancer treatment years ago.

You are right in not alarming her right away but I'm sure she will sense something is up..sending prayers and hugs.

Wanted to finish the quilt top today, brought in a project to work on for a swap, didn't get time so tomorrow I'll work on that project..anxious to try it.

top just finished putting to gether with almost scraps, of course had to purchase white..lol

just called Lorna for update on "M"

She is in a lot of pain, only giving her percacet (?)
she did get up and take a few steps today which is a plus
Lorna's not quite sure how she will be coming home on Friday seeing her condition but hospitals are notorious for sending you home only days after the operation.

Lorna says she's really down, just wants home.

Lorna had just asked if she'd heard from us, will let her know of our concerns

percaset is oxycodone which is very strong and very addictive. it works great if you can get someone to prscribe it for you. there isn'/t anything stronger that I know of

Hmmm here I thought it was almost an over counter drug like Tylenol..not knowledgeable in the health dept.

How are you feeling Kathy?

She is going to have a few rough days, but it will get better. Please tell Lorna that we are praying for her.

Got home around noon, sore but happy to be in my own house and bed
Tough going the first few days, got easier after that

Ohhh happy days "M", you are home
was waiting till this evening to call for an update..here you are, giving us one on your own.

Doing something sneaky..not obeying rules..nope, know I'll be caught but it will be too late!!! lol

When my travelling buds and I had our meeting, we all got brought along suitcases, mine being the smallest (those outfits I wear fold up into nothing and seeing as I'm a no frill type of girl I can do with a small suitcase..Linda and Suzanne had to downsize just a tad for all to fit..

Agreement was if it doesn't fit in your suitcase it's not travelling, trunk will be kept ONLY for the odd think they pick up at each destination..can't be big things..

we even divided some toiletries, I bring hair dryer, Linda hair curler,Suzanne and Rita soaps/shampoo etc..also in a bag we needed emergency kit, air compressor should we get a flat, emergency car kit and that's about all other than clothing.

Pretty clean cut wouldn't you say???

Went out to clean car and managed to get a few items in the trunk

how will I explain this????

Can't forget pressie's for Jean and Mary even if it means they have to sit on them...joking of course, I'm not that mean! or am I?

But on the good news side, wonder if any of them know that I have a sub compartment under the trunk???

I'll keep them busy and perhaps while packing up and excitement of doing so they will not notice..



Now the only way I'll get caught in the act is if border crossing guards ask me to open it up...ohhhh let them not..once I'm in New Orleans and they are safe from the girls I'll let them know.

Yes they are for Mary and Jean..known Jean likely won't be able to meet up with us but Mary will try so I can give her both sets and perhaps Jean's hubby one day can pick them up. Worse case senerio is they'll come back to Canada with me. Lol

Just got off the telephone with our Judy, she sends armwraps to all of you. She is on a high, loves her job. Says she'll be back with us soon, just has to get onto a routine both at work and home..always so much fun gabbing with her, had me in stitches.
