Betty, you could take a right when you are heading south and end up in Las Vegas.
I am sitting here on the patio with the puppies and watching the hummingbirds. It is currently in the 70s. Wonderful weather. Had a great rain storm Saturday night and the clouds moved in and have not moved out. A little more humid than we are used to but my skin is loving it.
Just checking in. I lurk everyday but I do that on several threads. Hugs, Sharon

Betty I know you are, I still have whiplash from when I was rear ended in Feb 2008, don't expect it to go away anytime soon.
OOOOOOOHHHHHH Joyce I hope that kidney stone doesn't move either! Sounds like you all are having a great time out there! We're getting thunderstorms off in the distance and wishing they would come here, we need the rain soooo bad!
You are always welcome Sharon...don't just lurk, we love to gab, as though you don't know that.you do know that one of these days I will be in Vegas lol had said I'd take mom if you remember??
Great weather for you isn't it..if only you could keep it in the 70's with no humidity.
How are the puppies doing?
Joyce, you know me too well, have to change my ways.
Got to stop in, you left your sunglasses and an umbrella in my car, think that's the only things I found, are you missing anything else?
Sure hope it's not the kidney stone, he hasn't been overdoing has he.
We're spending the Friday night in Nashville, not sure if they want to do a few other things before leaving so could be later Saturday night or early Sunday..should have taken the Monday as well..not bad with 3 drivers out of the 4 gals, (Linda only drives intown) so if worse comes to worse it will be a longggg drivehome on Sunday.
Personally I don't care where we go as long as we go lol
On Saturday at Suzanne's 30th anniversary party, must post a few photo's, Bryan her son mentioned wanting to go to Washington D.C. September long weekend, told him I was game if he didn't mind travelling with an old aunt sooo might be taking that trip but first I have to get through this trip.
Hope you get your rain Crissy as long as the storm doesn't do damage
LOL Betty sounds like you just want to get away and do something other than the norm. I can totally relate!!
The storm went around us, darn it all. It was just a thunderstorm, good thing we didn't go canoeing today, we would have been chased out!
Hi Sharon! Missed your post, hope all is well!
Hey Sharon. Nice to meet you. My name is Linda and I live in hot and humid Texas.
Checking in to see if "M" was able to post...maybe in a few hours!
Mary, haven't seen you post in a few days, busy/busy..hoping not due to stress re Witchypoo.
Didn't even take lunch today, tummy still topsy turvy so decided to forgo..likely I'll pick up something on my way home and have an early supper.
Nice to meet your Linda. My DH is from Beaumont.
It is getting cloudy again so I am going to rush outside and do some dead heading. Gardeners come tomorrow so I have to do it leave cuttings on the ground, they pick them up. I love that kind of gardening. Cleaning up is the wort part.
Puppies are doing great. They will be two on September 9th.
Hugs, Sharon
UPDATE ON TWINS
Just got an update from Ann...
Whatever prayers you are praying, they are working, praise be the Lord.
Alexandro if he continues improving as he has these past few days may have the tubes taken out tomorrow.
Alexandra (Addy) is doing better than the ever expected, holding her own
Again, it's a day to day situation but at least today we've good news.
Ann is coming home in the morning, baring any complications overnight..she will spend a few days at home as she is in need of sleep.
Ann and family thank you for your concern and prayers!
I am the lady with updates tonight
Lorna called to say "M" surgery went very well..she got a local after discussing further with doctor. Said the arthritis wasn't a factor and that with physical therapy she should be as good as new
Lorna said "M" was so nervous, shook like a leaf..
now she will be on the mend
What good news!!! And on both fronts!!! WOO HOO!!!! My prayers will continue for as long as they are needed. But then, I think we all need them all the time....
what did the ditches of Cambridge name the brat? somebody please tell me
Prayers gratefully accepted Barb, yep, need them always.
Kathy, not announced as yet, say it could be awhile till the name is given.
mybe the name will be dianna elizabeth
That would be a lovely name except its a boy. Lol
UPDATE on Darlene
Been quite the evening.
hydro still not on in Port Severn where Darlene is moving from..power came on last night in Coldwater..all but a few things have been moved, the rest will be moved this week as her house closes Friday.
said she was in tears, ordered counter tops in granite, after paying $4,500 they are pitted, filled imperfections, looks like h&$@, been battling with company all day..wrong measurements as well, fridge wouldn't fit in so she will have to make do until it's replaced. She will go to Barrie and hand pick the slab she wants on Thursday..totally exhausted, off to bed she's going..figures in a few weeks she will be looking for something to do. am sure on Friday when the house at the lake is no longer, the house she and Mike built, she will have a good cry!
Wonder who else will call tonight with update, should call mom but she'd be in bed by now, I'll put it on my list as well as calling Sharon and see how she's making out with all the reno's on her house re flood...
Thanks for all the updates Betty, so glad to hear those little ones are fighters! Good to hear that M is out of surgery as well! Still sending lots of prayers for all in need!
Betty, sure hope your tummy is doing better soon!
Anyone heard from Susan?
I know it'e a boy, but calls it dianna anyways
Morning all,
Sunshine this morning, nice to be able to work out in the gardens, did so for about 1/2 hr. before leaving for work this morning and still got here 20 minutes early...gee whiz, must be trying to push the days, anxious for holidays.
Did see Susan on one of my Canadian threads last week, perhaps she's just needing some 'alone' space.
Susan if you are lurking, drop in with a high to let us know you are ok.
Kathy, hmmm not so sure they'd do that lol
you can tell our (Canadian) ties are strong with England, we had CN Tower and Niagara Falls lights all lit in 'blue' to honor the newborn.
did ya take a pic?
Oh YAY!! Happy dance here for Addy and Alex! So glad they are doing better. Still praying always for good things for them! Am sure Ann needs a few days. Being in the hospital is so tiring. Just sitting there and you are exhausted! When you spend as much time there as they are, it has to be so hard.
Bill's pain stopped. So if it was moving around, guess it got settled.
We got over 2 inches of rain in the last two days. Yesterday, Luke and the girls helped me so much in the garden. Luke says he can probably come back one other day this week. He has soccer practice today and tomorrow. His sister (my DGD, Jordyn) is moving in to her first apartment on Thursday, so likely it will be Friday. That's okay with me, I can certainly find things for him to do no matter when he comes!
Crissy, it's so good to see you posting!
Hi Sharon, welcome!
Sissy, are you behaving yourself? Whatever happened to the mule?
Hey LK. Are you missing the kids yet?
Barb, so glad Norm is getting good news. Don't overdo it on your move!
Waving Marian~~~~~
Betty, think I'll make some mushrooms today. I have several orders and not many neat ones left. Just ho hum ones! I'm babysitting for my great nephew today. He's 4. Cute as a button. He's watching Power Rangers right now. (Bill, too!)
Okay, have to get started with something!!!
Ann just called with a further update:
these angels are called 'micro preemie's
Addy has ostemy bag, Ann says it's larger than her..they cannot feed her for 14 days due to operation she's had..talked about the brain bleed, won't know to what extent so I said, they've been wrong before, might not be anything..she said no the specialists say its a big impact on what will be her capabilities..
Alexandro is having issues with the heart..valve that usually closes when born is not, they will try meds to close it and if not means an operation as the blood is going back into the lungs.
Ann says she sees a big change in Alexandro's growth.
As for Melissa and her SO, they say they are taking one day at a time and will deal with what has to be done for Addy when time comes.
Joyce, drats, here I have 5 really nice sets sitting here, could have saved you some work. Glad you have help in the gardens and also great news that Bill isn't having to deal with kidneystones.
Morning everyone! I do miss the kids, but it was nice to sleep in this morning, and take my time getting a shower, and having coffee!
Thanks for the update on the twins Betty.
the mule was put in the barm before I got in trouble. you should see my email to the dept. of defense. I keep peeking out windows watchin for them to come take me away
So what will you do LindaKay with this your first day back to entertaining yourself?
Kathy you are too funny!
you never know betty. they maybe on the way. packing my bags and heading to ncanada!
they will never ever find you here..lol
on me way
I'll have supper ready!!!
Spending a lot of time on the computer catching up on threads and emails!
Need to clean the house and do more dusting! I hate the dust down here. You can dust one day and not tell it the next!
Find that at the house as well, Greg usually tells me when there is a lot of dust to change the filter in the furnace and actually it does help!
so very quiet here..been sewing all morning, should be finished my project by early afternoon, then what??? lol
Will drop in to see Darlene's new place on the way home from work.
Ann said it is doubtful that she will come tonight to play t.v. bingo, she's just sooo tired.
Maybe I will play, win and give her the half she would get had she played..dreaming aren't I that I could win..can't win if I don't play
Good Morning!!! Wow I'm getting up later and later every day! I gotta to go work at 9am tomorrow though BLAH!
I am so glad the twins are doing better!!!
Kathy you are hilarious!
I'm glad that Bill's kidney stone quit moving. Joyce, what happens when it decides to pass? Are they going to ultra sound it so it breaks up in a bunch of small pieces so he can pass it?
I get to meet with my Realtor today at 1:30 to sign some documents and get this house in escrow!
Great news Crissy..what will be to closing date, September?
You are becoming a lady of leisure and bet you are liking it.
Good news on the house Crissy!
Closing hopefully before Aug 19th. Thanks Linda!!
That's not long Crissy, do you have your furnishing in storage?
HERES A CUPPA TO THE CLOSING.as for the umpacking, good luck, I still am finding boxes
"M" posted on an older thread...
Bad day
Keep up the prayers
Very teary
M
"M" the surgery was long time coming, am sure after all you've gone through these past months that it's just not hitting you, add in the pain of the operation..well cry away, will do you good to get it all out of your system..
Now comes your recovery and I'm sure Lorna and Gord will be steps away to make sure it's an easy road for you to travel.
warm hugs and prayers coming your way!
