Marilyn, the pre-op stuff is the worst. Don't know if that is much consolation but once you are in the hospital and good to go it is a piece of cake.

My organizing/sorting/labeling continues. It's really going fairly well and Tony is here to encourage me and help me remeber the moves and helpful "friends" that have helped to create such a need for organizing/sorting/labeling.

One frustrating thing is that I keep goin to Pinterest and getting more ideas.

Had to check the weather forecast for Tony. It's a bit cooler (mid80's) and cloudy and looks to be that way for the next few days.

Anyway, I get lots of ideas on Pinterest and then have to go back to cleaning and sorting. Soon, I promise myself. I do have a newly refurbished sewing machine set up.

Dianne, sleeping so much doesn't come as a surprise. I did much the same about a year or so after Ross passed.....I think we finally start accepting what has happened and our bodies are telling us we need the rest. That is MHO only. :-) Good to hear something has been done about the person who was shooting. Scary indeed. I had to have a chat with our next door neighbor a while back as he was coming into my yard shooting the squirrels. Not!!! As much trouble as the little devils can be....I am not having someone shoot them, especially in the middle of my yard!!

Judy sounds like your work is doing well...why am I not surprised knowing you.

Well need to get back to my list of things to do before I leave. None of which is meet with a brick mason to see about getting the situation fixed that is causing the water to run into the dungeon. Yeap found a horrible water lead, newly installed dry wall wet and needing replaced all because the builder didn't install a water barrier nor any other materials between what is the wall and the brick steps at the front of the house. Mortar mix wasn't the proper kind thus has come out and lets water run into the room. Oh well onward and upward and get it done right this time.

Oh my goodness LK it is hotter here than where you live. Holy moly!! Diesel and I were out for a quick ramble and it started to shower. I could have been standing in my shower the water was so warm. We did walk down by Mosquito Creek - I feel safer now going down there - and lo and behold Momma and Poppa duck had their 6 little ones out. Some were trying to swim and others were just catching a ride on their parents backs.

Marian I think you are right and things have just caught up with me. I hope so 'cause I couldn't keep going on the rate I was for much longer.

Hoping Ann will have good news tonight. There was a photo on FB of a pair of twins just born and as they were laid side by side the 2 of them grabbed each other's hand and held it. Very sweet! I guess one of the nurses saw it happening and grabbed a camera.

Crissy anxious to hear how the viewing went. Are you up for some renos?

Crissy, we have had all the plumbing checked. Pipes are in the ceiling and those that had a problem have been repaired. My son cut a hole in the new drywall and we saw more wet spots, cut bigger hole (has to be taken down anyways) then went outside and ran water starting at the top of the stairs. I was watching and believe me, it was pouring in like a waterfall. Even though the house is older, the brick mason said it also looked like a "do it yourself" mix rather than what licensed masons use.......that was actually true. My next door neighbor built this house with the help of his father in law and there have been many things we have had to correct. Just bummed none of it was so that a home inspector found it.

Oh Marion, what a mess. My dad found out that their house, also built by a do-it-yourselfer, without benefit of inspections, had one basement wall also used as one wall of the septic tank. Can you imagine if that had sprung a leak? We are out in the country, it seems things were a tad more casual here years back. We also bought a small house across the way that had the same persons "creative touches". We rent it out but over the years have had to bring things into code.

foot, said he'll go into work early tomorrow and do
some welding on the trailer

Yes, I did put an offer in on a house, found one, sent a text to my Realtor, she called back about an hr later, (about 2:30pm) asked when I wanted to go see it, LOL told her I hadn't even showered yet, she said Neither have I! I Figured it's 15 mins away from the apartment and I can get ready in less than an hr, so I said 4pm! She said OK! So I met her at 4 at the house and low in behold it's 1282sqft, in awesome condition, the stove is a 5 burner gas stove, and the people who own it are beyond clean, so even though the master bath isn't any bigger than my thumb I put an offer in for it, I should know something before 5pm tomorrow!

Of course Mr. Ramsey can't pay me my $400 this month, it's damn if I do and damn if I don't with him. I need to prosecute him for it, the judge said "you will pay her this money by the 15th of every month or you spend 5 days in jail." The problem is he doesn't have a job, just doing side lawn jobs. So if he goes to jail for 5 days that 1. makes him mad, and 2. he can't work, no work no money, (and yes he has manipulated this on purpose so I'm screwed either way) so whether I send him to jail or not doesn't help me. I'm tired of him, I moved away from him because I was worried for my life, I got back the money he stole from me (the rest is paying me back for attorney's fees,) so I don't know what to do with him. He is being friendly as all getout, of course, just trying to get under my skin so I feel sorry for the man, my husband, now ex, who attacked me, did something with his car and told the insurance I did it, told me I can have the dining table and told the judge I stole it, tried to get the judge to give him my car so I couldn't get to work so I'd lose my job, tarnation I should have went after the truck, I could have got it as my name was on it. He's wrecked it 3 times since the divorce, it was a nice truck.

Okay! Enough of that drama! Wolooooo Went on a soap box there!

Debbie, I'm so sorry I wasn't here yesterday to wish you a Happy Birthday. Hope the good wishes I send extend for the whole new year!!!

We were at the hospital for Norm's 6 month PET scan. It came out clear with no signs of melanoma!!!! However, it did show polyps in the colon so now they are scheduling a colonoscopy. Get these things out and tested ASAP. That is why we like this doc so much. He tries so hard to catch things before they become major issues.

I go to the foot doctor today and hopefully get a shot to end this pain in my foot. At times, it doesn't bother but at other times, I want to cut the foot off.

We will have news regarding moving farther east soon I think.......

Back to soldering

I should know something by 5pm today, this one needs no work. I put an offer in on one about 2 weeks ago and it fell out, no big deal, it had been a rental since 2007 and the owner repainted part of it and re-carpeted it but they didn't paint the interior doors, it had wallpaper that was partially coming off, and the AC unit was up for question, and she wanted $118,000 for it, there was a house listed 2 blocks to the north for $109,000 and another one listed 2 blocks south for $102,000 that didn't need work. I offered 108,000 with washer/dryer conveying, considering the comps and repairs we'd have to make and she wouldn't go any lower than $113,000, so I walked away.

Now the house I put an offer on last night is a beauty and needs no work, but the master bath is itty bitty, oh well. They want $119,900, it comps at $118,000, so I offered $115,000 and washer/dryer/refrigerator convey, maybe they don't need them and don't want to move them, they do have grandkids and I don't know why they're moving.

Great grandson Payton 10 is visiting and I'm thinking we will go someplace today to maybe find relief from the heat. He's from TN so it's not really bothering him but we've pretty much stayed here so time we ventured out for some fun for him.

Betty right now I'm actually in Springdale, Arkansas, which is about 10 minutes north of northern Fayetteville. There is no Lafayette. The house is in Lowell, AR, which is 15 minutes north of Springdale and I'm one hour south of my dad. Yes it's in a subdivision and close to everything!

My mom is actually doing better! She moved back to Modesto and found a doc who has helped her, and she has helped herself by going to acupuncture. She's able to drive, walk further than 3 feet, shop, sleep at night, and use a leaf blower! She's still careful because it doesn't take much to get that nerve going again but there is much improvement! Now her husband Lynn is having problems, I guess they thought it was his thyroid (which he's always had problems with) but then they found a bacteria in his intestine I think, now he has prostate problems and they think maybe gall bladder too.

Oh no, I'm sorry your mom is having such difficulties. I read that she's had mini strokes? How's Jim doing?
