Morning,
Sure hope you are all surviving the heat..says we are presently under a heat dome and likely won't break until Thursday night/Friday morning with thunderstorms..grass sure needs it.
Was looking at lawns and flower beds while driving in to Barrie this morning, past sure sure has done a number on them.
Was up extra early this morning and by 6:30am I had Paul's boat tarp repaired.
Deb, even had time to get a few photo's for you re containers I use for mushrooms
REMINDER: knowledge obtained from Joyce..hope she doesn't mind my sharing..was a plus I had such a good teacher
tall vase and the green ones I got at $$$ store I use for stems..will purchase more tall vases as I like tall mushrooms..the light fixtures for round mushrooms were light fixtures I purchased at the re-use it store for $1.00 each

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .. got to the hospital .. signed in ... told to wait .. a recptionist approaches me after 15 minutes .. did I not realize that the appt was for 9:30PM !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well .. I had rec'd a digitalized phonecall from the hosp last evening CONFIRMING my 9:15 AM appt .. not only did I hear it, bit, so did Lorna .. course, the message is long gone !!!!
Well I was some furious, but, the woman was just 'the messenger' .. no use ragging on her .. so ... home we came, now, back for 2pm for the physio class, then home again, then back for the echocardiogram ..
I am so annoyed, but, trying to remain positive !!!!!
It hit 41C here yesterday, and, today may be a repeat .. shal we say SULTRY !!!
Off to lay down and calm down !
PS .. those grandbabies are sweet .. wish you luck, especially with the wee one !!

Ah yes....mushrooms, mushrooms and more mushrooms! I have several orders so I see a couple batches at least in the near future.
Been rushing around the house, I should be leaving right now for a lunch date with girlfriends. I've been trying to get caught up on all the reading. Wish I could remember so I could comment! Hot, hot, hot here and humidity is beyond belief! Even at 8:00 in the morning I was dripping with sweat after a few garden chores!!!
"M" shaking my head, because there was a 15 minute delay could they not have kept you there and done it, put you in the line up for pete sake..guess not! I'd be so furious but like you say, where would it get you except for being worked up.
Joyce, used up all my mushroom supplies, have 'stock' lol
Almost have to get garden chores done before sunrise and after sunset seeing as it's so hot. Enjoy your luncheon..you are always so busy socially, how do you keep up to it?
Make it hard, info boards at 2 entrances into Victoria has alert..
NO BURNING and NO WATERING
poor plants and grass
just threw away 3 planters, sun just too strong for the pretties. Will wait until I get back from holidays and get a few more, miss the color
You Must check out this jumping dog!!!! Incredible!!!!
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=207080732779733
OMG, what an incredible dog..Suzanne asked if she thought he could train her husband..lol
As you well know Betty, my hubby needs no training!!!!!
no true'er words were said.. I so agree with that
Now my hubby could have used some training but I wasn't up to it lol
Lordy, Roger would have turned 70 tomorrow, my cousin Linda will be 60 tomorrow and our Debbie, it's her big day tomorrow as well..good things come in 3's they say
Barb, loved that dog video!
Well, it looks like we have 30 to 50 percent chance of rain most of the week, now let's wait and see if it actually happens. Right now it is 80 with 65% humidity.
Any word on those little ones Betty?
Betty, if you have too many mushrooms, you have my address, I have two from Joyce, but more would be welcome. I need to find some vases and try to make some!
Walked over to the iron works store at lunch, they have an entire array of metal art..particularly bobbing blue heron, the one is the store had just been bought, I ordered one, should be here in 2 or 3 weeks.
Went to wendy's to have fruit salad and met a very old crafting friends, Helen used to teach porcelain dolls and Susie did sewing, both were at Dunlop St. Fabric store purchasing fabric for 3 quilts, hydrangea pattern, she is making for each of the kids for christmas...was nice having lunch with her, hoping we can meet up at my house next month..girls always have a b.b.q. so hopefully she can make it.
Very/very hot, so quiet on DG, must mean you are all enjoying yourself in a/c..
Too bad that the mushrooms are so heavy or I would be posting some to all..
Those were purchased at Walmart, large one $24.99 and smaller $14.98 I think
Know Joyce was getting hers at Hobby Lobby..what I'd love to find are the acrylic onces so I'd not that to worry about breakage.
You got the mushrooms when we met up in Frankenmuth right??? means you have to make another trip..I found a wonderful way to save, not too overwhelming..almost a game, saving for a trip, perhaps you could do same?
At a craft fair here I found a wonderful wind chime. It's 4' tall, metal, stands on the ground and is cattails and leaves that sway in the breeze and chime. I couldn't get it just then but the artist lives not too far and he has one for me when I can get it.
Sounds beatiful Karen, will wait for a photo
Wow had to be 100 in the house, no kidding..
Could just hug Greg, he and 2 of his men are here, just turning on central air..just fine tuning the unit..of course they would be gone but needed adapter panel as mine wasn't strong enough..at this point I really don't care about cost, just want cold. Lol
Down to 84' Greg said by bedtime I'll need a comforter
Oh happy days..
Want to take him out for supper but he is fighting it!
Update on twins
Ann said the babies had a better day today, they're swabbing Melissa's milk on their lips..providing a bit of nurishment other than what they are getting via i.v.
no major issue other than Alexandro Michael fusses whenever anyone is near except Melissa..
Melissa came home today, blood low and has to be addressed. She is very nervous of being near the babies incase she injures them when caring for them.
She will get help Monday to learn what care they need and get a schedule where she can come to the hospital on a daily basis for mothering/bonding time as well as the dad participating.
Also having health professionals reminding them that it is still touch and go wouldn't help..
Ann is hoping if all goes well that's she will come home Sunday for a few days..she is feeling like a vagabond, missing her routine!
But they are one day older thanks to your prayers!

Thanks for the update Betty, that is great news!
AAAWWWWWW Twins! That's sweet, I need to go back and read the previous thread, but I'm having a hard time keeping up with you all lately. I did buy a refurbished laptop from Dell and it's wonderful, glad to have a computer again, typing on here on a cell phone is difficult!
I have officially moved to Northwest Arkansas and I LOVE it!!! I transferred from the Hobby Lobby in Little Rock to the Hobby Lobby here part time, hopefully that will go full time here pretty soon, I love working there for some reason hhhmmmmmmmmm
Betty when are you coming down this way? What's your itinerary looking like? I would love to meet up with you ladies!!
Waving to everyone!!
Another day, how awesome is that.
Sometimes it seems that health professionals get so hardened by what they see day in and day out that they forget this is a new experience for the new parents. I think they need yearly sensitivity refresher courses.
Sending my prayers here as well. It is going to be a good day!!!!
Morning all,
Start my day with birthday wishes..
Debbie sure hoping this day is filled with laughter and pressies! Doing anything special seeing Paul is home with you today?
My SIL Linda who is also the cousin I was raised with turns 60 today, sent her birthday wishes although she is depressed about the day..turns 60
Roger would have turned 70.. Lordy, hard to believe, with thoughts of him you have to wonder about the what if's..hard to imagine him an older man..looked at Greg last night who is but a few years younger than roger when he died, reminds me how young really was when the lord came knocking.
Crissy, how nice to see you post..not exactly sure of our agenda in that region as the last few years tornado's were happening so we've an alternate plan just incase..Linda is frightened of your inclement weather so we promised we'd change our route if any signs of bad weather. Who would have thunk it, you enjoying working in a craft store?? Lol. Kidding of course, wonderful you are doing something you love doing..re your gmt job, was there no transfer possibilities in area where you moved to?
Thanks for the prayers for the little ones, today is another day, may it be a good one for them..Ann said if you look at your smallest fingernail they're fingers are about that size, hard to imagine.
Karen, they cannot believe the care and kindness the health care providers are showing towards the (parents)!
Well, enjoyed the cold last night and slept like a baby, now running late
Gab later
Fingers crossed the thunderstorm that crashed through Thunder Bay last night broke the humidity.
Piper was more than happy to cuddle with Mom and have me croon him through it Lol.
I did a 3 month rotation in Neo Natal Intensive Care. Not my cuppa tea, but the senior nursing staff were devoted to their little charges. We're talking really miniature, and so fragile, those experienced RNs really knew their stuff and were so patient with the extremely nervous parents
Prayers from the heart for Addison and Alexandra.
Happy birthday Debbie :)
Hugs all around
M
"M" hoping the rain front comes to my area, so could use it.
Did all go well with your late appointment yesterday?
I would indeed think you have to be a special person to deal with these preemie's and the stress of parents worrying over their newborns
praying for another day the babies will get stronger. just think, we all will be in wheel chairs with oxygen, and them 2 will be on daves garden, making friends around the world
so laughing, let's hope that is the case Kathy..we'll not rush it though.
How are you feeling, no more mishaps???
Morning everyone!
Happy Birthday Debbie! Hope you have a special day!
Crissy, so glad to see you posting. Glad to hear you were able to transfer your hobby lobby job! Are you buying a new home?
i'm doing ok, my feets are really sore.
Happy Birthday Debbie
morning lk
Good mornig,
Thank you for the birthday wishes, much appreciated.
We have a heat index warning going on, and not to go out for long period of time. Yesterday it
was heat index of 105 in Rochester.
No plans Betty until tonight. Going to dinner with the kids and Paul (Olive Garden). You know what my
preference would be...but kids don't like it there and 2 get sick. Sigh.
About same here, issued an extreme heat alert as well. Glad to be inside keeping cool.
Well you enjoy your outing with the family tonight, haven't been to Olive Garden for ions..at least let them stop in to your special place and pick something up for yourself.
Betty, certainly not being critical health care pros, just a comment to your statement about them telling reminding parents it was still touch and go. I know it's their job to be realistic and not give false hope. Just sometimes I know from experience they can be a bit abrupt and assume we are more knowlegable than we are. I'm sure the parents realize how fragile those babies are but still they need every grain of hope they can glean.
Very true Karen, am sure looking at these young ones it goes without saying that the situation is critical.
Dashin Through, singing Good Morning!!
Went Solo yesterday!!...Diana, my other half and I did very well, roflol, at least it seamed like it went well.
I gotta tell you, when they linked us up, they couldn't have chosen a "better" pair. So far we have been each others rock!
She is the Computer guru and I am the Production guru, together we make the Dyn-o-mite team. OH My Gosh, and don't let me forget to tell you about Our Associate Kurt, He, IS absolutely and Fabulously patient, gentle man. At the moment, I am their storm and they are my calm!! Hands on the hip, Yesterday, as said, Diana and my first Solo after he left at 4:30,(was to leave at 3:00 but stayed until I was comfortable with the Computer stuff!!) Then She was to leave at 6:30!! Yikes and yow, Then i was completely on my own, when that realization, hit, you know me, a sentimental Fool, I was Petrified (underline that, twice) at the thought and almost broke into tears, Diana being the calm gave me a boost of Support and even an Armwrap for luck!, before she left.... OMG, We had to do a set of Blue Prints, A first for both of us and tadah...We DID it with out issue, D had to re-size to fit and everything LOL, We hi fived and got in the bin...ROFLOL, looked Awesome to me, so I hope the customer thinks so too...
OK, so my evening alone turned out to really well. Serviced 4 walk ins...For some I had to print with a flash drive, Whew Didn't have to save just print And I know how to work that, figure out pricing and help with a fax, so loved, that customer! heheheh, he was far more computer illiterate than I and so I felt so Smart!! I explained to each customer i was flying Solo, as D recommended, and they were very Cool and supportive, each said i was doing Good. A couple of times, I had to take a breath and silently encouraged myself with everyone's support in Spirit, said just calm down you can do this...So in tears- with Happy overwhlemed, Tadah, it worked, pretty Soon it was time to close, OMG on time!!
Whew, I was to be off on the Weekend, Was Asked to Work a Project that had to be in the Hands of Customer First thing Monday morning, So...The guy i am replacing, said it would take 8 hours!! I got there at 9 sharp, We started printing, I was setting up and going as it was coming off the machine!!...The Account Manager, "tried" to help, I did 3 to her 1, she said i'm just going to get out of your way! So i finished the 8 hour project by 1:30 and We started the next and got that half finished before i left at 5, finished within 2 hours on Monday A.M. it was to be in Customers hands Tuesday...Kim, the Acct. Mgr...Absolutley loved my work, speed, Roflol, i told her, this is this like playing in my gardens!
OMG!!! I LOVE working, bring it on, they haven't seen Nothing yet, wait till i know what I'm doing!
Holy loose and snooze!! I was asked about transferring to the store that i originally applied to, Gave my reasons for not...sorry they had their chance and didn't bother to even return my calls after twice saying they'd call me, as far as I concerned i won't even shop at that store...Or they would have to offer Me a major raise!! LOL, another reason, The whoever, didn';t even give my DD they day off for her brother's graduation party, She gave 2 weeks notice and reminders, they scheduled he anyway she ended calling out...I said, I just don't want to work for people who don't consider the employee needs....
(note) Her last day was Tuesday!! Now they are kicking themselves already!!!
Alrighty, Working until closing tonight, Now i know the routine so will do better, tomorrow work till 5 off on weekend!!
Love and Armwraps to Everyone!!
Betty, Miricals DO happen, and i AM PRAYING HARD for Our Little Alex's..I love their names!
Awe, tell Mommy she will be Awesome handling them, it will happen naturally....I am glad she is being released, But I am praying she will Get to Rest...Not, im sure she will be At hospital almost around the clock and they will get stronger every single minute!!! Very gentle armwraps.
Debbie,
Singing Happy Birthday to you.
Girl, Enjoy the Day and Soak up all the rest and Love!
Big smiles and Armwrap to you!!
M...oh goodness, sure hope you were able to get that test, in! I know appts sure can be frustrating!

EVERYONE in my thoughts and Prayers Daily..
See you later.
Have a wonderful day!
Judy, we knew you could do it! Congrats girl, on sticking to our plan and showing them you will do it!
Happy Birthday Debbie!! Are you as hot as we are here? We had a very noisy T&L storm yesterday but it did nothing to relieve the heat.
Wooo hooooo Judy. We all knew you would knock their socks off!!
M when do you expect to hear back from your test last night? You'll be glad to have 1 more thing ticked off of your Worry List.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers for the twins and their families. Very funny, laughed a lot thinking about them being on DG while we all rock it out.
My problem from Sun is solved. Police picked the guy up on an outstanding warrant. He won't be seeing the light of day for quite some time.
Experiencing a weird phenom ..... I can't stay awake. I have slept more in the last 36 hours than I have in months and months combined. I wake up feeling so much more refreshed each time. Feels good. I guess if this sleepiness continues for a few more days I should call the doc but right now I am enjoying it.
Hello Crissy!!!! It is so good to see you. Hope we will be seeing more of you once you are settled.
Time for a nap!
Dianne
Thank you for the wishes Seed, much appreciated.
Sounds as though you're a going concern at work and enjoying what you do.
Looks like a perfect fit for your skills.
Rainy day here, have caught wind from several folks that the strawberry picking is very poor at the local farm that grows them.
DH might not even bother going this year. Sad.
Dang weather!
Killing time before company arrives
Toodles
M
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!!!!
Betty, tell Linda Happy Birthday for me!! lol that's funny, you always come down in prime tornado season, July/Aug is not tornado season and even though it can happen, it probably won't and it especially won't happen if there is no storm, we're in drought and all the storms are going to Minnesota and across the border over to Debbie at this time of year, and I haven't seen any inclement weather in 2 months at least. Now that I've said that I know mother nature will make me a liar! LOL!!! Let me know your itinerary so I can tell Hobby that I need this or that day off.
No, most of the state jobs are in Little Rock, that's the state capitol. There is a VA hospital and of course DMV and county jobs but they pay less than the state does. I don't care, that doesn't pay enough, I can make $2 more to start full time at Hobby and have way more fun without a Miss Thang smirking and rolling her eyes at me when I walk in the door every morning.
More prayers are being sent to the twins! My mom was a twin and born 3 months premature, weighed 1 pound and was the first baby to use the incubator in Modesto, CA, her twin brother weighed a half a pound and passed 9 hours after birth. She had lazy eyes that were corrected when she was 3 years old but has had to wear glasses her whole life. She was born in 1948.
Yes Linda! I am looking for a house up here but it's not easy! Everything I like is $20k over my budget! I'll find something soon I hope, this living situation is not the best!
Judy sounds like you're having quite the time!! Glad you're having fun!!
Take a break and look at you all, chatting up a storm..
Oh Judy, was laughing all through your post, you always make me laugh!! You are a pro at what you do in this field, you've been doing it for ions, just needed a refresher course and look at you, beating all deadlines! How far from home are you working? Most important thing, when do you get your first paycheck lol
Dianne, good for you re young man with the gun, his being careless could have cost someone their life.Likely the weather tiring you out, talking to so many who say the same thing but still talking with your physician about it wouldn't hurt.
LindaKay, how are those grandkids doing, keeping you out of mischief? Here we are complaining about heat/humidity, what's it like in your neck of the woods?
Crissy, going back in my mind, not an easy task, when we met up Linda/Suzanne and I in Memphis with you and Joplin got hit, wasn't this late in the year was it?? Suzanne tells me it was end of May so hopefully no problems..
Hiya everyone!!! Dianne Wooooo wonder what his warrant is for, maybe stupidity??? Your body needs to recoup from all the drama you went through the past year. You have been through a lot and if you want to sleep for a month, then do that! You deserve it!
I'm going to get off of here and look for some houses to go see. Talk to hopefully this evening!
Crissy!!!! So happy to see you and Judy!!!! Thanks for the birthday wishes! Much appreciated.
Thanks all for birthday wishes!
Judy so very happy you are loving the job and doing well. I hope I have the same luck!
Crissy, sent you an email the other day and it came back. Did you get a new email???
Dianne, hot as blazes out there. I went out, cleaned the birdbath and refilled....there was a line!!!
Poor birds were in it quickly. Have seen bees and also butterflies drinking the last couple days.
No cake today. Going to Olive Garden for dinner with family as I said.....then I requested Peaches & ice cream.
Too hot for anyone to bake a cake!!!
Debbie
