Katie, glad you are keeping an eye on it, I just got over pneumonia...it was NOT fun. I am still on two inhalers.
Rest rest rest....and healthy fluids. Dr. told me alcohol wouldn't do it. (Told him it might sterilize my lungs and I don't drink!)

Good morning, dear friends.

Bill's dad has passed away. He did it peacefully in the middle of the night with no one around but his sister. Everyone else had gone home for some sleep. The Hospice nurse told Bill that big, burly men often waited until the family was gone to let go. That's just what happened.

Yesterday was the day for making arrangements. The funeral was pre-planned, but the cemetery hadn't been decided on, and the final arrangements. Viewing is to be at 4-7on Sunday eve, and funeral on Monday at 10:00. We expect it to be a big one as he was mayor of our town for 12 years, then city manager for 4.

I just want to go to the garden and work, it would feel so good and temps are only to be in the low 80's this week. But the house calls, dog gone it! Maybe I could do both.

Bill just asked if I'd make him some breakfast and he did it so nicely that I guess I will.... ^_^

Thanks for all your prayers...Love you all.

Offering my sympathies and Prayers to you and your family..you sure have had a bad few years, loss of your mom, your dad almost a year now and now Bill's dad...add Bill's near death and you must be mentally exhausted!

Think even from time to time if you walk your gardens and sit a bit you just might get a tiny glimpse of what they are seeing in the Gardens of the Lord?

Graduation went well last night, over 225 graduating, gym was like an oven we sat for 3 hrs. Didn't see musth of Kyle as when the celebrations ended he was off with a bunch to his grandparents cottage north of Meadord, just outside Owen sound.

Oh Marion, sure sounds like your sister needs your Ark!! I so can feel her frustration and anyone else who has been getting torrential rains, me included!! The other night we had a doozy! But wow watching the light show was fantastic at 4 in the morning. Was so glad you had such a nice time with the grand daughters! Now has Kim left for her trip? Sorry, got so much on my brain forgot when she is or has gone. Hows your project going?

So, Ive been back in the basement, sigh we had 6 inches of water down there and it took the entire day for it to drain. Of course DH had to work sooo Jacob and I did the clean up it took us almost 3 hours, needless to say I was exhausted. One of the things was to wring out some of the stuff, grrr my towels somehow got knocked over and and a few other things, roflol, tried spinning them in the washer, but it was too wet to work, man what a drag but then Jacob was mopping with the mop and the tub has a wringer, you know an janitorial type, well, well...my injunjudity struck and we used it to wring the stuff enough! What a brainstorm and it was done in half the time of having to wring by hand, so happy dance here. I was going to the laundromat, but thought to see if the washer was back in working and to my surprise it is, so on my second load already, I hope i can get it all done by noon! Woohoo, plus I am keeping the 20 bucks i was going to use at the laundry!! Well, got to get some stuff and mail a bunch of stuff off, so there that goes... But I forgot what it was like to have so much money I don't know where to start spending it, hahaha...Oh got to throw in a positive, We only lost a big piece of carpeting, which was rolled up in a bucket but not heavy enough, down it went and was drenched...not a big loss.
I am just so thankful, I had been working down there to sort and organize, Everything was placed in a bucket or plastic tote, whew....And then it rained 2 more times yesterday, Jake said he's going to flip if we flood again, me too.

Hey Jody, yikes i hope you stick to your feelings.

Hi Kathy, nice to see you over here.

Welcome and Hello Marylin, Was glad to see you were able to get out even for a short time. Nothing like sitting and watching nature. I sure hope you can find a nice pillow to sit on.

Oh my goodness Congratulation to Kyle!! How was the graduation?
Good gosh, I sure hope they replace that machine or give you a refund...OMG I think I'ld be on the phone b'ing up a storm.
lol, i did just that with our printer. Used to be, I got my cards the next day, but well, they are have a bit of a time with business, so I can wait patiently. My Printer Jim is on vacation, and his new partner has been dealing with stuff, I wanted a call concerning my cards and he sent me an e-mail, So I called and left a message asking if they left their promptness and the old office, also, I am the type of person who just needs that verbal conversation, about what I want. lol. I received a call from the partner in less then an hour, explaining what was up with my order and confirming my concerns.
Well, dang, I missed McD's breakfast, so now ill go whip up my own....So what have you decided with the Quilt you were working on? I sure hope you'll be able to get it finished in time.
Betty, i have sooo much to tell you all, it will take me the entire weekend to write it up, so expect a small journal soon, haha...what else is new with my blabber face! We have to get to the house this weekend, because its rented for the long weekend and the immediate week. So i figure i am going to take the time to write, lol when i get tired of reading, woohoo finally got the two books I've been waiting on from the library, yippeee.

Hey Judy! Sorry to gear you had water in the basement. Did your sump pump quit working? Sounds like you have been busy, and will be busy getting the house ready for renting. Don't work too hard. I am working on a patriotic wall hanging, I hope to have it done in a few days!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Just got news - Bob's been laid off from work - temporarily. Could be 1 wk, could be 1 mo. It's because those that work at the building he does are having to deal with their own flooded homes b4 they return to work. So, it's a domino effect.
Just what we need eh? My assistance will only last another 6 weeks.

oh, and the AlbertaParks reservation line for campgrounds is taking names of people who need rides to get their motorhomes, etc. and taking names of people who will give rides. I put our name down to get a ride.
The campgrounds will not be open for use in the foreseeable future, so likely not this summer, and certainly not when we go to pick up our motorhome.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear he got laid off, let's pray it is just for one week!
