OK...I'm back to SHOUT OUT...As i dance around while i do.
I am now the New Full time Supervisor of the Copy and Print Productions at Staples!!!!
...At long last, I am going back to work and I so can't wait to hug my toys! Will be doing the same as I was, plus lots more to learn, how exciting is that!! Oh my God, I am so overwhelmed with happiness to be doing what has been my life long dream.
Happy tears here, omg a Supervisor!!!!
SWEET INTERRUPTIONS # 261
Oh Judy, I am so happy you got that job! Congrats girl! Doing the happy dance here for you!
I am so happy that prayer shawl arrived at the right time. My eyes are tearing up just thinking about how God works in our lives. Sorry about Bill's dad, this year has been hard on so many.
Judy, so happy you got that great job! And now on to some good news from me.
I'm always looking on the web site for Kaiser when we have any blood work done. The PSA test didn't show up and I couldn't get any answers. I was getting frustrated because when DH went in for his infusion for his bones the gal said it was 29, which is wonderful. Today I called the oncologist's nurse and she gave the results to me. Yep it is 29.78 down from 79 and she said that was amazing. Dropped almost 50 points in one month. Chemo is working!! He will go in for pulmonary breathing tests on July 24th. The pulmonary doctor put him on a couple inhalers and hope they work for him. Thank all of you for prayers, that prayer shawl gave me comfort and hope.
congrats. judy!
The love we give goes round and round for all of us. You were truly inspired Judy when you asked us for our hands. Look at how much love has been spread to so many. I love you dear friend just because you are you!!!!
And I'm thrilled about the job. You will become a woman of means again...
Just a short note this time as Norm is o his way hoe. It is pouring here and miserable so I want to have a nice hot meal ready.
Sending hugs and prayers to all - Bill and Joyce - we are all with you...
Just on for a moment
Kathy - u asked about people stranded on the ice? It was in the Arctic - northern Canada
http://news.msn.com/world/stranded-tourists-survive-breakaway-arctic-ice
actually, about as far from us, as Montana is from Florida........
Just got news - Bob's been laid off from work - temporarily. Could be 1 wk, could be 1 mo. It's because those that work at the building he does are having to deal with their own flooded homes b4 they return to work. So, it's a domino effect.
Just what we need eh? My assistance will only last another 6 weeks.
oh, and the AlbertaParks reservation line for campgrounds is taking names of people who need rides to get their motorhomes, etc. and taking names of people who will give rides. I put our name down to get a ride.
The campgrounds will not be open for use in the foreseeable future, so likely not this summer

sorry to hear about bobs job. I will pray something comes up for him
Pegi, that it awesome news! Praise God!
the man in back of me told my husband last nite that he saw a bobcat trying to get my chickens. by the time he got his gun, his dog had chased it off. he told my husband he didn't want tell me,cuz he was afraid of scaring me. hubby's rely was, heck, she love to target practice with live targets. next time call her
Went to store very early this AM to get milk and dog food (what a combination) while it was still a little cool. Nice time to shop, hardly any one in the store. Yesterday it was 118 in Palm Springs, glad I don't live there. But it is getting hotter all the time, supposed to hit the triple digits here. Poor plants are suffering along with the humans. Fires are raging all over and of course we never see any rain. Today is going to be a laid back day.
Nothing like live target shooting Kathy! Hope they don't get to your chickens!
Pegi, stay out of that sun and drink lots of water. We are already at 102 today! Too hot to go out and do anything!
has DG home page gone all "funky/different" on us, or is it just me?
Susan, they did a major update a few days ago, some have to log out of DG then back in to fix it, some have to clear their cache, then restart!
I'll log out/in then
don't wanna clear cache yet
JUDAAAAY hoooray for you Ms. Supervisor ! congrats

Well, it is still cloudy, and really light rain, temp is 81 with 66% humidity. Not too bad. Here are a few of the flowers I have blooming. Sunflowers starting to open. And a new plant I just got from home depot today, called a needle flower tree. I have never heard of it, so will have to look up the info on it.
love the sunflowers and the needle tree. I've never saw one before either
Phew.. I think I can now rest some :D
Good day sistahs.
Congratulations sistah Judy! All those years of putting in applications and walking away rejected, you never, never gave up! A nice title to start with "Supervisor"! IRS is now in love with you!
Need to do a chit chat one day but if I don't answer the phone, that means either the cats had put it on mute or busy chatting away themselves! Lol!
Sistahs in California, stay cool. Drink lots of fluids as LK suggested. We haven't seen 90s yet, but it will soon come.
Praise God for that good news Pegi! Dancing in my chair again for Darwin!
Pegi, thank you so much for your splendid love in the box!!! I
Marion, don't you dare do anything heavy now that Kim's gone. Things can wait for Charles or your handyman.
Thank you too for your box of magazines! I thought I'd send another to Indonesia, but there are a couple of Malaysian friends that are clamoring for them!
Susan, I'm sorry to read about Bob's work. Hope it's just for a week. Sending you tight hugs sistah.
Sis Kathy, you know better than to wear sandals where there are heavy objects laying around! Goodness! And call on the wildlife folks to trap that bobcat!
Oh no.. you don't need to fix an exotic bbq for the 4th!
Sue, I wish you a journey full of laughter and to replace the sadness of being back in old areas where Gigi was, I wish you happy new memories.
You and the kids need this reunion badly.
LK, you got me curious. I've never heard of a needle flower tree. Got to look it up too. If that grows here, I will want one!!
I've been busy trying to do a make up box for one of the RWB swappers. Poor girl has forgotten to update her addy, and she thinks her ex' gf had taken the box!
You know when you're hurrying to meet the deadline, and things can go wrong? It did with me. I wanted so bad to show off to this new gal that I can sew.. and God zapped that!!! For 3 days, I sew and rip.. sew and rip.. rip.. rip.
Sigh.. thank God for WM and Big Lots!! Lol!
You are welcome for the magazines.....more will come later I am sure.
I, too am fascinated with the Needle tree...can't wait to look up more info.
I will attempt to post the picture of the Swallowtail Plant Kim and I found at a local nursery. Hope it is successful in the testing stage as I so want to get one!!!
The first picture is a close up of the plants leaves; second is a new set of leaves about to unfurl..notice they look like a tiny butterfly. The last one is where they have turned colors and definitely resemble butterflies. I held the leaves back for a better picture but when you see them they look like butterflies down in the bush.
Needle Flower tree is a Lily!!! I want one for sure!
Dummy me, googled NeedleTree and that's a pine!
Marion, that's a very interesting plant. Sure looks like a hundred b'flies' wings converging on a pot!
Love the markings.
Kim and I were totally fascinated with it. One of the people offered to give me a cutting but unfortunately he said they hadn't been successful rooting any. He does recognize me from shopping so much and he does know I have worked on the festival with one of their supplies for plants..owner of Grandiflora in Gainesville.
They have it growing in semi shade in a huge container with other assorted plants.
You'd do well with that, Marion.
Marion, love that plant, it is so pretty.
Jaye, if that needle tree is a lily, it will be a big one. This site says it is a tree that can each 20 feet. I think I will keep it in a pot and keep it a small bush!

I love that plant marion, let me know when we cane buy one. i'm going in search of needle flower tree.
here you go jaye, I just bought one

they call it a monkey apple tree
Hey Sis Kathy, that's a tropical fruit. My late grandma had that in her nursery, it's known in our language as buah Chiku or buah Manggis! The flesh is custard like and sweet. We kids used to fight for the ripe ones!
You'd find cans of the peeled similar fruit in Mexican stores too, as sapotes.
I can't grow that here, too short a summer and cold winters.
Sorry LK, I misread it!! It's hardy for your area, but not for mine. Drats. You can turn it into a bush by trimming the top off. If kept in pot, I'm sure it will grow up to 4'. Read that the blooms are fragrant.
Good morning and good rains again.
No time for mourning, garden again another day.
Here's coffee and some NOLA style beignets for my sistahs. One day we will have breakfast at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans!
thanks Jaye . Cindy and i are hoping to meet up . I m heading to Sacramento area to Elks Grove to see my aunt . on july 3.
it is raining hard here again. man oh man i could have had a garden this year ! ?
i had to move my azalea's and roses to gigi's garden. so much rain the area they were in were swamps puddles :(
i just hope the animals don't eat them .So much rain i can't put on any deterants .
got lots done in the garden yesterday. Tim helped me replant the roses and azalea's , then while was weeding , he layed mulch.
welp got to run
take care everyone see you in a week
many hugs to you all
sue
have a safe trip sue
Safe journey Sue and may it fulfill all your needs......
Good Morning Ladies,
It has been so hot here I have not been outside except early early in the mornings to get things watered. I was outside at 4 am yesterday morning and it was perfect.
Sue, I think I have found perfect place for us to meet up....chk d-mail ^_^...I am so excited about this you will be the first from DG for me to meet. We will be coming on the motorcycle, so Doug will be along hope you don't mind........
Our 6 days of triple didgits has turned into 8!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that is about $20.00 more than what I paid for mine. Glad you found one Kathy!
Jaye, you should be OK growing one there? Keep it in a pot, and bring in in for the winter?
http://www.learn2grow.com/plants/posoqueria-latifolia/
Cindy, your hotter than we are!
Sue, you have a wonderful trip, and don't forget your camera! Sure hope you can meet up with Cindy!
Really hope you and Sue are able to meet, Cindy.
LK, the link Sis Kathy posted showed a Monkey Apple Tree picture, and a caption of "Needle Flower tree" was tagged on it.
I was referring to the Monkey Apple!! Lol..wonder why it's named that?
Don't think I'll get another plant that had to be hauled each winter. I was looking for more bulbs.. wish there's a co-op going on here.
Rains and mosquitoes seem to be the order of the day.
Are they two different plants Jaye?
they said they were the same, so I hope they are.
Well I'll be a monkey's mama!!! Lolol!! I don't remember the flowers looking like those.. but I remember the fruits!!!
better a monkeys mama, than a monkeys uncle
Now, now girls!
ROFL!! Sign of too much time on our hands, Marion!!
Afraid that might be true. The sad thing is...I have tons of work to be done so why am I sitting here scolding you two girls? :-)
Enjoy the luxury of being lazy Marion!!
I'm ripping and FBing too, when I should be cooking!! lOL. Thank God for spam! Kel's bringing that to work.. he doesn't know it yet!!
