What a wonderful time you all had, Love, love the photo's!!
Still smiling over my surprise call last night from you Betty and Sunshine!
Just got back from the very last High School event!! lolol yeppers broke out in tears more than once.
Be back in a it, waving hi to everyone.
yes please Betty, keep photos coming, makes me feel like we are right there...We absolutley loved Wasaga Beach
I was sitting in our back yard last night....smelled a camp fire and it took me right back to Betty's and our special campfire. Was thinking
of you and the girls.
Judy, big hugs....Jake is amazing!! Next couple weeks will be fast...and hard.
Oh Betty, good to see what the gardens look like at Casa Loma. I was there in the winter and everything was covered with snow....still it was a beautiful sight.
Fantastic, Cookie will get her plant home.
Judy, Joyce said she had to talk to her 'little injun' term of great endearment..
Debbie, so glad you also have great memories of your visit..thought if I showed you Collingwood/Wasaga Beach I COULD JUST entice you a little more to be here for Elvis Festival..
So now off to CN tower..yikes $35 to park right in front of it but worth every penny..of course there would be a Blue Jay baseball game..think they were playing Orlando..talk about wall to wall people..entrance goes in from CN to Roger's Center..felt like a queen being escorted up CN tower as we had reservations..
will post photo's of CN tower view..as the restaurant rotates about every hour it must have taken us ab outg 1 1/2 to eat and enjoy the view as we saw a bit of the same
I do believe in one of Castle Loma's photo you can see the CN tower in the distance
See the blue jays playing..ohhhh know those baseball players are on that filed..should have brought my binoculars
Cathy and Joyce were brave..I'm not a fan of heights so took me a bit to walk on the glass floor , Sheri watched on
these guys were welcoming baseball players..was nice that the dome was open..such a lovely day
few more for you then Marion
owwww
large pond water feature top fell off twice, I was waiste deep in cold water then with the rain the last few days and my being out with wet feet and damp while making mushrooms and not moving for a bit, hmmm bones are just aching
think I'll soak in the tub for a bit while waiting for last load of towels
Off for another adventure
we could see the game from the CN tower restaurant but lordy wouldn't it be nice to see a game??
tickets are beyond what I can afford, besides holiday Monday the stand were full
Well be at least got to see the stadium
HEY WAIT,
I could sweet talk the attendant, maybe we could watch the game after all...yep, was able to do so.. open domed baseball game we'd see
ohhh a run, cheer on Blue Jays..think the girls should have been cheering on Orlando
had to pay attendant with a peck on the cheek, gladly done!

all done..
as promised off to stained glass studio..Joyce bought a piece for her garden, hopefully she will post, girls bought jewelry and a few bought maple syrop..I bought a lovely rondell to put into a stained glass piece for Suzanne and Lenny..
before we left I asked Gayle and Ken for rhubbarb leaves, girls wanted to see how to make the stepping stones..rained to hard so had to forgo that but I promised to do step by step instructions with photo's this week..need to do it soon sooo i can make rhubbarb sauce or pies
no sooner had we eaten, I COOKED, that I took them downstairs to do jewelry..
all were thrilled by end of night..
wow - u were really busy with your camera, Betty! Fabulous pics, and mats, and fleurs... lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! lol Sure are a lot of rocks for Joyce!!
And the white Bear....... sumpfin or other flower.... is pretty
Glad everyone had a great time!
lol Joyce and her rocks. I love rocks.... gather them every time I'm away from home. lol
This rusted iron piece will be a reminder of good times had with the girls..truly enjoyed it!
HAVE something to send Debbie, I cooked about 3 meals and didn't burn a thing..soon the fire extinguisher sign can be passed on to someone else..best we wait, girls were here to watch me lol
Didn't even have the bed made and Riley took overMissy, she is cuddled next to me missing the girls and their treats
Just went out and looked at rhubbarb leaves, don't need a whole lot of cement leaves so might just do 2 or 3 of the large so it's 3 bags I must pick up
that one rhubbarb leave will take an entire bag
Thank you for taking the journey with me today....until the next adventure..may it be one of you visiting!!!
taking a rest, think this outing tired me more than the original..
look forward to reading about your day now
What a wonderful week Betty and thank you much for sharing it this way with us. I'm so happy for all of you. Some places I remember and some I wish I had had more time to see. Oh - in the fir post of pictures - picture 5 - is that a Timmie's I see??????
You've an eye of a hawk Barb, lol
we did indeed have a great time..
Riding lawnmower is giving me the whatfor after wanting one..first ride - lost the key
just yesterday I got another
Ride 2 no can do, tried one of Greg's keys and when I took it out must have left it on 'on' position..
went to Midland and bought a charger, Greg said he'd come to show me how to connect, I'm giving him spaghetti dinner in exchange and went and bought my pea tree and a few pieces of slate..because slate is so heavy decided I'd buy a few pieces every time I go to Midland..would have used rock but Joyce took it all home!
Wow, love all the pictures, and I wish I was there with you all! Looks like a lot of fun!
Well my door is always open..
What is a pea tree? And what are you doing with the slate?
Hey Barb, how is your weather? Is it getting warm?
Still awake, feel like an old mother hen waiting for her chicks to come home, maybe Joyce and the girls are out sightseeing..expected her to be home about 8 or so..
LindaKay, the smaller pond with Joyce's help got a revamp thus I'm now in need of more slate and rock..with sore back I'll not overdo, will pick a few pieces each time I'm in town..saw a field on my route home as well as ken and gayle telling me to come get some so in the next few weeks it will be complete ..might even add fish in that one.
In order to make the waterfalls a little higher a few carpet roses had to be removed, see that an astilbe must also be moved, might do that tomorrow before planting the weeping pea tree..yellow blooms will soon be in bloom. Joyce thought when we saw the tree that it would be perfect, would weep a bit over the waterfalls.
There is a large peony bush right near it, won't disturb it.
So much in the garden has to be divided and moved, looks like a work weekend ahead
Greg came tonight to help me charge the lawnmower bettery, drats, turned the key and it started so might take the charger back when in town.
Lordy Greg is suffering, couldn't believe the size of his foot and ankle..of course he listens as much as his mom does. Lol..he put the support back on..told him to go back to the hospital and have it re xrayed..doc told him the other day he couldn't understand how he didn't break it as 2 bones that are normally together are now divided..he ate supper and off he went..
Weeping pea tree
Ooops forgot the link

Oh, that is a beautiful tree, I have never heard of it before!
Sounds like he pulled some major ligaments in his ankle?
Joyce is probably unloading all the rocks from her trunk!
Get some rest Betty...you have to be exhausted.
Lol, can just imagine the look on the faces of border agents pulling her over and seeing trunk filled with pretty rocks..am sure they would be thinking " what's wrong with this picture?"
Just can't keep my eyes open much longer..here is hoping they made made it home safely..off to snooze
Good morning all,
It is a dull dreary rainy day here and the temps are not to go above 60* for the whole three day weekend!!!! So you know who is stuck in the house. I gave Norm a list of thread numbers so he will stop at the LQS and pick them up for me. It is so aggravating to want to go and not be able to. Is warmer and sunny weather ever coming to New England???? We don't even dare plant anything yet around here and the nurseries are going crazy because nobody is buying Memorial Day plants.....let alone plants for their homes.
So it will still be a sewing day for me - just change which project to work on.....
Betty, thank you again for sharing all those pictures with us. It was so nice to sit here and feel like I was there. And yes, I can usually spot a Timmies!!!!!
Did you get to the PO yet? Have you received the round robin quilt I sent to you? I mailed it May 11.
Off to have a bite to eat before Norm leaves. Waving to all~~~~~~~~
Barb, will trade weather with you today..well the entire weekend for that matter. We are predicted to be in the low 90s and dry!! Any outside work will have to be done early in the morning as it stays hot so long in the evening.
Morning all
Brrrrrr talk about cold!
Thought I'd work outside but not going to happen..didn't freeze but close to it..doors all closed and heats up, guess it has to be an inside day.
Barb, Kyle called late last night and asked to borrow my car so didn't get to post office..I had called them to say not to send anything back this week just incase. Called this morning and she hasn't and nothing n the box, perhaps today!
Well, best get offline, and get packed for camping - going to pick Bob up this aft, from work, then into the motorhome and we're OFF!!
Will be back sometime Sunday.
It's raining now, and promises to rain HARD this weekend, where we're going. Heck, it's raining here, now... good thing Bob brought the motorhome next to the house, so I can load it easily.
Now, to put a raincoat on and gather stuff together lol
Back from morning trip to Vet, Isabelle is doing better. Not healed...but better. One step at a time.
Susan, we have had rain for three days now.....and it is cold! It is 40 right now, said might hit 50 today.
Travel safe and enjoy your day.
Betty, did you hear from Joyce?
Great news about Izzy..bet she is feeling a whole lot better thanks to all your loving!
Susan, no fun camping in the rain, could you not have changed it to another weekend so it could be a sunshine experience.
Not raining here but Lordy it's cold with that wind..few things I want to do outside but not going to go out and catch cold..
Been sitting on couch all morning playing lazy
Haven't heard from Joyce which is odd as she said she would let me know when she got home. If I don't hear from her by 1 or 2 I'll call to check up..who nows maybe they decided to spend the night n the road and do more shopping or she may have found a rock quarry somewhere. Lol
Had a short snow storm, now it is back to being very cold and rainy. Hope the weather improves for you all to enjoy your long weekend.
Feeling lazy today .... could be the effect of the woodstove burning away.Think I will curl up in front of it and read.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Dianne
holy wah..talk about a big kitty, you both must be feeding him treats...poor Missy looks sickly compared you your precious grandfurrybaby!!!
Dianne, not often we get snow at the end of May..weird weather for sure..
felt like it could snow but the sun came out for all of 1/2 hr. was out doing a few things and now back in to do same as you, a rest day but if the sun comes out yippee can get into the gardens.
Surprise/surprise
wanted to show Joyce how to make birdbaths and decorate them..process went smoothly, when rain came I covered them but water still managed to fill the piece so knew when it was time to take it out it would be used as fill or yard art in some manner. Decided to dig it up before somebody ran over it, hole was dug in my driveway (and they wonder why I don't pave it lol), it was still filled with water, at least it is water proof, but omg dug it up and no damage other than a few bobbles that got covered in cement when it rained.. so now to find a home for it in my garden..likely replace the one near the secret garden entrance
photo 1 sitting right where I DUG it filled with water
photo 2 finished piece weighs about 50 lbs and maybe 5-6 inches deep
tempted to move it but will wait till Kyle brings me back my
car after work..have a few things for him to do as trade
off for loaning him my car today..his jeep needed a transmission
so grandma got a call (who better to call)
