Waving to Southgal......

Judy, did you give Steve his hug for me, bet you didn't lol

Your veggie garden is boxed in? Here I thought it was a new foundation for the greenhouse. Bet that Jacob wanted fresh veggies for his cooking.
Meant to tell you Judy, this past weekend Noah was having mega trouble with his back, teacher was showing him some wrestling moves and Noah didn't dare well with them...I told him all about Jacob and he was mega interested.

Last night at supper I got the whatfor, kids told me I should move to USA because I'm always there..Greg told me I should be spendng my dollars in Canada where they pay me, told him if they had prices and nice people like USA then I would..they broke up laughing, knew they were teasing..think it was because the back deck was decorated with all my American decorations (wanted Juce and the girls to feel at home, even had a few solar light out that we're red/white/blue..too funny!

As you saw in my other post Judy, grass won out, I even cleaned dresser drawers (4) so the girls would have a p,ace to set their clothes rather than suitcases so must drop in to Salvation Army tomorrow morning to drop 2 bags off, if I have another 4am morning just maybe I can find a we more bags to drop off.

Betty - thank you for referring to him as my son....... he is, but I never get the chance to treat him as such...... He's in his 30's, so you'd think he'd get over it, but guess he wanted a fairy-tale story, and it was a cold hard truth........

Betty - watching on tv about your weather......... YUCK!
lol I think you've switched countries! LOL for your kids teasin' you - so funny!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ah well Mary - we all have bits of our lives we haven't shared as yet - I'll bet there are a lot of "hurting" stories here..... mine is a very old and very new one (because it's been going on since 1972 when he was born, and re-visited in 2006 when we first talked).
My son & I connected via phone in 2006, for the first time ever, and we had about 6 conversations, he shared his fb page, with a picture of his daughter (my GD......) and she's so sweet. They live in Estevan, Saskatchewan, and I've never met either of them. I would like to, but he's had a tough life as well. His adoptive parents split when he was small, and apparently he has troubles with his adoptive mom. He's been hurt by this, but it's no reason for him to hurt me, I know.
I got a letter several months ago saying the Adoptive agency will be closing the file as we've been connected, but if I had any questions, I should call them. I haven't called. Nothing, I suppose, that they could do....

Hi Betty,i hope your day went well. Thanks Mary,i am glad to be on here with all my friends.I wish y'all a very bless goodnight.. Linda Kay and Betty,i still cant get on our other thread.I dont know why.I will keep trying though.I will make sure y'all hear from me on this one, until i can get back on the other one. Cody

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, omg guess who slept in beyond 5:30..took me a bit to get everything done, girls come to sew today so moved my projects aside, was garbage day so tried to put as much at cub side as I could and then packed a few bags and dropped them off at Salvation Army, lordy I'm already tired out.

Weather is on a warming trend so they say, sure hope so..might have been a good idea to tell the girls coming on Thursday to bring winter clothing lol am sure they will think of it on their own. ohhh 2 more sleeps until they are here..do you think I'm anxious for their arrival? It's our Victoria Day long weekend coming up, at least they are calling for weather in the high 60's..everyone here leave Friday for Jamaica, I'll deal with any issues that arrive but will have the week with the girls so I'm pleased with that.

Cody, welcome and what nice words to read this morning, yep, all are extremely caring, helpful,in my opinion the best. Cody what thread were you trying to get to?

Mary, how have you been feeling? All better now and holding your own with witchypoo?

Came into the office, felt chilled and here I am hot as can be, surely I'm to old for a 2nd round of hot flashes..

Wonder how Debbie is faring with her tests in Cleveland?

LindaKay, here is hoping you are feeling better today, that the meds have worked their magic..hot one out there?

Morning everyone! Welcome Kelli and Cody. Cody I don't know why your having problems posting in Jaye's thread.

Well, I finally had Todd take me to the ER last night about 7 as I was hurting so much! We got back home a little after midnight. It took 3 shots of morphine to control the pain. After blood work, a very painful catheter, and a CT scan. The Dr. verifies I do have diverticulitis, and very compacted polyps. They are not infected yet, but sent me home with some meds to take that will hopefully clean me out and clear those polyps. (strong laxative) I have to follow up with a surgeon Wed, if it gets any worse I have to have surgery. So lets pray this stuff cleans me out???

Well, I am still under the influence of pain meds, and not typing well. So I will copy and paste this to a few more threads, and I am back to bed. See you later!

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay glad Todd took you to ER, sometimes we think its one thing but its another..now that they've confirmed it is diverticulitis/polyps doesn't help pain but sure gives you a plan of action should pain medication not ease the pain. Hope as the meds start to work you will feel better.
Does someone live nearby that you could contact to take you back to hospital if pain gets worse?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Good morning, everyone.

Linda Kay, I hope things get worked out. I'll remember you in my prayers. That sounds awful.

They are calling for a high of 92F today which is still plenty hot but at least it is under 100F. It's too early in the year to be that hot.

Thanks Betty.I am having trouble posting on Jayes thread in Sweet Interruptions #258.I tried to upload a picture and every since i did that,it will not let me post on that thread.Linda Kay i hope you start feeling better soon.

Roses for you all.

Hi Kelli...nice to see you here.Sounds like the high temps will put a dent in your wildflower hikes.

Hey Cody...wondered where you went...nice to see you back....when did you do the name change?

Linda Kay....it is with sincere good thoughts that I say I hope this too shall pass....and soon.((hugs))

Hope you all have a lovely day.
Moon/Jean

Victoria Harbour, ON

ahhh thanks for the Roses and I sure enjoy seeing photo's of your flowers..with having snow on the weekend doubtful I can ad to the wow 'show' so appreciate everyone's pretties.

Jean, how are your gardens doing, did they drown from all the rain you've had?

here you all talking about high temps and here I am with a sweater on, numb fingers feeling the cold..lol
no happy medium right?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good morning Betty...on the weather last night they said we have had almost double the normal rainfall for this time of year....the neighbors laugh when I cover my succulents with an umbrella....it may look strange to them, but I refuse to lose all my pretties to TOO much rain...grin

Other than that, things are growing very well....including the dratted weeds....I need a full time weed puller around here.

Hey Jean, its good to see you again too.Me and my exhusband split back in 09'.I was going through some hard times back then.I just got back on.I cant post a picture on the thread, but i can dmail one.I want to be able to stay on.So i am keeping it safe.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sorry you have had such a rough patch, but glad you have made it back. I would D-mail Melody (admin) about the problems you are having. There seems to be a number of tiny glitches in the system that catch ya....sometimes the site locks up on a thread and there is no way to post a reply....other times it refuses to accept pictures and sometimes, a thread just goes blank/black when I click on skip to new....but I have figured out ways around it and Melody was very helpful.

You have found a warm and welcoming thread here.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sorry to hear you've had some difficult times, hoping your days will be sunshine days from now on..

Thanks Jean,i am glad to be back.I did talk to Melody about it yesterday. She said she don't know what was stopping me from posting.

Victoria Harbour, ON

well, whatever it is I'm glad you found us, great place to put up your feet...

In your difficult times did you at least get a big garden to play in?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Jean, yes, the heat has put a little dent in my hikes but it hasn't been extremely hot for very long. We did go out on Friday so I'm not having withdrawals yet. ;-)

Thanks Betty. That little beautiful boy of mine brings sun shine to my face everyday.I have not been gardening.I just been mostly focusing on my son.

Between the heat and DH not able to work from home I was thinking the supply of beautiful native flower pics may run short....and that would be a shame as they are all so pretty. Glad you are able to still get out into the countryside.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Cody, i thought I had a pic of your cutie...did a little searching and discovered the last time we talked was August 2009.....lots of water under the bridge for all of us...

Morning...
Oh Linda Kay hope the meds help in a hurry...I hope today you will be able to rest.
Very gentle armwraps to you along with prayers no surgery to be needed.

Welcome Kelli and welcome back Cody!!
yikes hope you get the computer issues straightened out!

(((((Susan))))) oh what pretty tulips to bring smiles!
Has the the other bloomed yet?

Hi Moonbeam, glad to hear your gardens are coming in nicely.

Big smiles Mary, graduation is June 3.Prom is this weekend andguess what?
Jake is not going unless he changes his mind again. Still not exactly clear on what happened with his date...all he says is just a bunch of High school drama!! Sigh...

Es, Betty the out door garden is off to a great start, need to work on it this afyernoon.
It is both Jake and my kitchen garden. He wants to grow his herbs and we all want to have the veggies. We are just starting out small for now. It was great fun to work with him and Breenie came to help with the fencing. And it is especially fun to watch him show off "his" garden...in the back along the fence he will have his herbs to grow in comtainers...we have oregano, rosemary, sage and lol have to go see...

Dianne? You ok?

K enjoy the day..

Be back in a bit.

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Betty, we try to go hiking once a week but we don't go for long distances or times. Usually about 4 miles max. Nothing hardcore. I need to and am trying to lose weight so we can go further, but it has been a struggle.

Cody, since your using your phone for all your posting, it might be your phone that is the problem?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Judy. We have actually harvested a couple tomatoes....Jim hasn't gotten the garden ready, but I was impatient and got some tomatoes and hot and sweet peppers going in pots. I hear ya on the high school drama....grin I'd tell Jake to check out the prom date or no date....it is his last big school event before graduation.

I hear ya Kelli....hang in there...we are all rooting for you...and some of us (ahem) are trying right along with you.

Betty his name is Alex. Thanks for posting it. Lol!!! Jean i can't believe you still have that picture.I look older in that picure then the one of us now.I just turn 35. Yeah Seedtosser i do too. It could be Linda Kay.This is the first time i ever use the internet through my phone.Hopefully i will b able to get back on it.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That is why I posted it....you were under a lot of stress and unhappiness....today you are happier....and it shows. GRIN

Glenview, IL

Hi again...yep Moonie We are trying to get him to go.

Yippee cap and gowns came today!!

Cody, awe how old is Alex now??

Oh Im just lost in that hike Kelli woweee spectacular!!
Where is that?

Betty, did you get the drawers cleaned? Sunshine comes this week right?
Oh I sure hope the weather gets nice for you all...its been like that here too but finally got a warm snap...yipeee.
Got the compost o deal with and we are exceptionally pleased to be harvesting some into the new beds. Think ill add some sand too since the soil is claey.
Ineed to empty it to get to the good compost...there is a screen that needs to come out to make room and its holes are too small to do what we thought so thats my project for the dayslow and a little bit at a time, backs finally not hurting as bad.

Enjoyed seeing Moonie & Bettys pictures.
Any word from Thunder yet??

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

WooHoo!!! Two more sleeps!!!! ^_^

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)
