LK, actually I am feeling better, just sore and tired from all the coughing. Kim, however, is still having some problems and we have been told to keep her on Gatorade and crackers for a few days. Off to the store to buy some more of both.

Good for you, Sue - I, too, am proud of you!!

Marion - glad to hear you're feeling better....... poor Kim! She has probs with colds....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

No she doesn't really have problems with colds....this is a virus she contracted from a student. The parent notified the school the child had the virus and told them it is very contagious but it was a little late as Kim had come down sick. She has been put on a strict diet of dry toast and gatorade.

Pretty sad that parent sent the child to school, know they had a contagious virus like that! Hope she is better soon!

Jaye, you niece is a beautiful gal!

My Mandy tore apart a ball of cotton yarn then just let it lay on the floor. I watched DIY while trying to straighten out the yarn. I sat there for a couple hours and still tangled up. Guess I'm going to have to suspend everything from the ceiling.

Good for you Sue, going back to school. When we graduated from high school that was all you needed to get a decent job. Now days it is hard to find a good job even with a college degree. I follow you on facebook too.

LK, the parent wasn't aware the child had the virus until she got sick and took her to the doctor. Apparently her symptoms started worse than Kim's did. The parent called to school right after she had taken her daughter to the doctor and told them. The student hasn't been back to school either.

Jaye - your niece is indeed very beautiful.

Hiya Sue
Thank you, but my knee isn't doing well. I have osteoarthritis, and a tear in the meniscus (inner left knee). However, I was told by a chiropractor two years ago that I had very little cartilage in my knee, and the MRI showed my cartilage is fine, so that's some good news among the bad. I will take any good news I can :-)
My Dr is sending me to a rheumatologist (specialist) and he noted that I will travel outside of the city, so I can get in sooner to see the specialist. "Out of the city" isn't that far, actually. At most, a 2 hour drive each way, and at the least - 1/2 hr drive each way. So of course I will "travel" if it means I will get in to see a specialist sooner.
