Yes Betty you caught me lurking. I'm fine just had a long work week. Hubs has too... he won't be home tonight.

Betty - you can find Joanns coupons online .... A lady stopped my sis & I (heard us talking about it) at Joanns and showed us on her smart phone.... YES I was actually in Joanns... showing the place (new to Baton Rouge) To my sis back in March when she visited.

TOO funny Betty on the toothpaste....maybe you've discovered a new use for it!? I do think you are an honorary USA Citizen and honorary Cajun.

DS, his GF and I had take out tonight and watched Life of Pi.... I had read the book several months ago. Very spiritual, and beautiful visuals...

Melanie DIL saw the black and white quilt top I made and wanted a king size done same so I bought the fabric, bought same for Suzanne as she wants to make oneas well for her son for christmas, she will reimburse me for what I paid for fabric. Linda whom I taught to make a rag quilt and doesn't sew watched me pick fabricland thought why not try one as well so there will be a lot of 5" blocks floating around my house.

Susan did send you twister template, this is a different template, no need to use it but it's amazing how a quilt block is put together and a great scrap buster.

Linda is in a deep sleep, dont want to wake her just yet so I will be quiet. Lol

Good morning everyone.

It is chilly here today. Tony just came in for a cup of coffee to warm him up to start the day. Must be about 50F. One of the dogs trashed the living room while I slept. Dang.

Nice email from my friend Sharon who used to live here and was Scout's mom for several years. She lives in Malibu now and is hiking in Monterey with her almost-new husband. They have a small apt in Malibu so Scout is here forever.

Weird dreams last night.. Still waking up.

Max seems to be less prone to snap or bite since I got home. I think he really missed me. He is still tense and I am still careful.

Must put on warmer clothes and take a pain pill.

Breakfast with Betty was wonderful. Great catching up.

Should have shut my cell phone off though as DD wasn't feeling well. 1/2 way through the Christmas tree shop decided I had better
head home. Trying some meds, hot tea....and resting. If that doesn't work within a few hours we are off to the ER. sigh.

Pray Betty gets home over that bridge safe, she and Linda almost had to stop and change clothes after the wind gusts while crossing
picked her little car up!!!

And Betty's friend ....Linda, I had a hoot with her at IHOP. She had her eyes on the manager, wanted to get more than her eyes on him I think! I needed
that laugh so much. I was shocked Betty behaved! LOL

Was wonderful sharing hug. She was so happy .(NOT)..it is snowing here!

Van is almost all repaired but now needs some belts. Mechanic is coming out today and I got home safely. Did not see doctor. Will see knee doctor in June probably. Meanwhile, I continue my physical therapy. Chronic pain is no fun. Maybe I should apply peppermint toothpaste!

Might as well continue cleaning as I feel crappy anyway. Whine whine.

So nice visiting with you, just wish it could have been longer. What did Shannon's doctor say when he called? Glad she's resting. Thinking you should be right there beside her.

Doctor called and talked to her. Gave some guidelines and try and rest, drink some fluids to get meds into her body...won't work if she just takes
them with sip of water. Did that and she put her sweat pants on and has been watching movies since. Just said she is hungry so that is a good sign.

I did "accidentally" bite DH's head off with him not stepping up so I could stay with you, never answering texts. BUT doctor never called til I was already
back home!

We are still having on again/off again flurries here also. How was driving over the bridge on the way back, did the wind calm a bit?
