Sue - I've watched Mr Deeds so often I won't watch it again. The first 2 times was ok, but then it gets old fast.........
Sweet Interruptions # 350
Well, yesterday was a good day for us with Bill's sister and his Dad and stepMom. They have him on two Xanex a day now and he is doing some better. His language is still pretty bad though. Luckily Pat put her shield on so her feelings didn't get hurt. Alzheimers is a mean mean business.....
Morning everyone, Cookie, glad to hear you had a good day!
Susan, glad to hear you had a good sunrise service!
We had a wonderful week end here with the kids. I told Andy he made this Grandma very happy when they decided to show up! Dylan having his first marshmallow peep!
And the kids on the front porch when they found the magic jelly beans that grew!
20 minutes after they left last night, we had about 30 minutes of quarter size hail and rain. We needed the rain, but could have done without the darn hail!

Cookie, I'm glad for you all that he's prescribed Xanax.
Yes Alzheimer is totally untreatable once it sets in.. sorry to say that.
My MIL, Harris' mum, was staying with us when she can no longer be left on her own. One day, while I was taking a bath, I heard shouts and car horn sounding off.
Put on my robe, ran outside thinking maybe one of the dogs was ran over. A neighbour who was leaving for work, spotted MIL walking naked along the road. MIL kept mumbling that her mother's worried about her and wanted to go home.
Another dangerous time, I came home from work and smelled gas when I entered the house.
MIL had turned on the gas stove, the pilot light wasn't on.
Harris was in his workshop thinking it would be safe if he locked her in the house. He became exasperated with her. Men can't deal with things like this.
Since I'm working, he decided to leave her with his younger sister who wasn't working and made sure there's always someone with MIL. Moreover she has 3 grown kids and a very good neighbour who could help.
This is a poem written by a Facebook friend.
They diagnosed me with Alzheimer's,
Said I would regress,
And release all the latter things first,
To the point, I guess,
That I would not remember
Many things I'd grown to like.
I’d forget my loving children,
And even how to ride a bike.
I pray the memories of pain dissolve,
And hope old hurts will heal,
And wonder if events so easily erased,
We're ever even real.
-jenn long
Dylan's a mini you. LK!
What memories you've made for the grandkids.
It's still raining here.. need the ark soon.
No rain here, please send some Susan.
Had a nice Easter day and DH felt good enough to drive out to friends for turkey dinner. Everything was so good, even DH ate more than he usually does.
Oncologist today and he is not happy that that very expensive drug Xtandi doesn't seem to be working. He PSA shot up again, but wants to wait to try the drug for one more month until the next step, which is chemo. I really was praying that there wouldn't be a need for chemo, but we will know more in another month. More time with prayer shawl. Speaking of the prayer shawl, I took it with me today to show to doctor's nurse. She was so in awe of all the wonderful sistahs that shower us with prayers & hugs.
Still keeping Darwin in my prayers Pegi. Perhaps the extra month would work. I'm glad that the prayer shawl gives you both so much comfort.
Kel's father failed his tests. He's scheduled for another round of chemo.
Sorry hear the bad medical reports, sending prayers for both of them.
Thanks LK.
Pegi - no rain here
Sorry about the bad oncology test reports - glad you had the prayer shawl with you, Pegi!
Jaye - How is Kel's dad taking it? I know more chemo isn't what he was looking for.......
Thanks for asking Susan. Murdock is in deep depression. This would be the 3rd round of treatments. As long as Kel is able, you know Murdock will have a caregiver around the clock.
I've been fighting invasive Carolina Jessamine.
They are everywhere!!! No.. didn't plant any.. but came with the surrounding property. My forsythias had to be groomed weekly. The vines I tell you are like those heavy chains Mr.T would drape around his neck!!!
Really pissed me off regally to have to give up on untangling coral vines from the lecherous hold of those jessamines.
I have clematis growing at the end of the fence where this duel is taking place. If I want to save the clematis, I may have to poison this illegal marriage!
Then in a matter of only 3 weeks, I see little bastards growing in my Asiatic lily beds!!!!! Sorry Lord, they got to be gone, I'm unwilling to adopt them!!
The wind just blow the pollen all over! I'm also fighting with little pine trees and wild maples!
Seems that I've made the grounds richer through the years of feeding.
IF ever I were to move again.. this I shall do. No more planting in ground unless they're gingers.
These are the only plants that the jessamine haven't laid their vines on!!
Jaye, I would ask for some cuttings, but it sounds pretty invasive!
Bless Kel for taking care of his father............. I will pray for Murdock
Yikes - glad I'm not a weed - you'd tear me out LOL
Keeping you and yours in my prayers Jaye.....
Today I'm adding yet another border on my queen bed quilt. The Lone Star, that is.
I have the batting and backing too, so should be able to get it sandwiched this weekend.
At 10 am I'm going to a Church service at a care home, then I'm back to do some sewing.
I did some studying last night, for tomorrow's Bible Study, THEN I Finished another of Paul Fleischman's books which I'll be sending to Thunder as the "next in line". Couldn't believe how quickly I read Seedfolks!!! One evening............
Morning and thank you so much for generous prayers, sistahs.
Susan, so proud of you for keeping happily occupied! Haven't read any of his works, is he a mystery writer?
LK, they are much more invasive than the morning glories. There are much more to be cleared, it will take a crew of 10 to clean them up if I don't start using poison, which I detest!!!
Hello Sue. How have you been? Tried any new vegan recipes? I'm still finding it hard to stick to a meatless diet.....if only WM carries tempeh and a wider variety of veges.
Nothing on my planner today. Wishing all a good Wednesday.
Waivng Hiya Sistahs all!!
Woohoo, think were finally up and running! OMG, this has been such a long wait for the new computer. I have missed y'all so much.
Tried to keep up with the tablet. But i've decided I don't like it!! It's too small and drives me to insanity trying to type anything, lol.
So, now I sit waiving and chatting from my new office! Jacobs old room, he has moved to Julia's room. Julia has transplanted to an apartment with her boyfriend, David...now really the only thing left to do is hang a few decorations. I guess the only good thing about no computer is that i was forced to do some major cleaning, lol it needed to be done anyway...
Thought about you all, all the time, hoped and prayed everyone was healthy.
Cindy, saw some of your photos of the new house, Awe wishing you and Doug much happiness there, What fun you will have creating new gardens!
Oh, nice find on the towels, recognized each right away. LOL, I used to display mine one at a time for that season...lol this happened for the first year, now we use them all the time, that was a fun swap! And Cindy, yours i took up to the Cottage, i liked it so much that, I replicated it into cafe curtains, well minus the fun little buttons!
Kathy, i sure hope your new place bring happiness as well. Wishing you much luck with getting the kids.
Susan, How are ya doing? Are you getting the Greenhouse ready? Mines a big mess! but as soon as i can, Jacob and i want to get some v3eggies started, im looking forward to it! So glad you are keeping busy, bummer your spring vacation was not that good, We felt the same way after going through one of the places, couldn't wait to leave!!
Susan, so glad you enjoyed the book!! yep a fast but lovely stories...OMG, reminds me I need to send mine off to someone, lol, Linda kay, is you, I cant remember!
Just look at those cuties!! Dylan is getting so big and just so adorable! How wonderful they surprised you with coming for Easter!! What a fun clever thing to do, growing lolipops from jellybeans!! Will definately put that in the memory bank if i ever have little ones!
Hey...Big Bruddah Kel, Happy belated birthday! Hope it was a fun day.
Sistah Jaye, How are the quilts coming? OMG, I have one in the works of the mind!! got three different pieces that I can't come up with a design...Although im toying with creating 4 keleidscope blocks, lol decisions, decisions! ROFLOL, told the Cuz's be patient baby Erini will get it before she goes to college!
I put myself way behind on the crafts while trying to get this place in some kind of order...but now i think im good to go again, just in time to be outside in the Spring sunshine, how wonderful!! Later today, i'd like to get out there and pick up sticks...lots of fallen branches, plus a little cleaning of the beds! But yippee my crocus are up and i'm waiting on the daffs to flower.
sending lots of Armwraps and prayers for all in need.
Dear Faye, Im keeping Darwin in my thought, and i am glad you are finding comfort with the Prayer shawl.
Ok, wellI better get moving, have some actual work to do for DH. lol, was supposed to do it yesterday, but was in a no working mode, played catch up with my shows instead, heheh. And along with that finished a block thats over a year late, lol not too behind...oops so got to dash to post office before it gets lost again.
So waiving tahtah for now!
Enjoy the day Sistahs.
Jaye - not mystery stories at all. They're homespun homilies kinda short story books about people - their thoughts, feelings, and conditions.
Seedfolks is about a garden started by a little girl planting 4 bean seeds. No, that's not telling the story, but it is a good look at diverse peoples.
Thank all of you for the prayers. That is what keeps both of us going. DH asked me to get him some Aleeve to try for the joint pain and he says it is working, thank God for that. Why are some OTC meds so expensive?
Really hot out there in the sun so I haven't been doing very much. Need to pot up some plants, some got so root bound. I guess that means I could start cleaning up the patio, it is cool there. So much to do and where do I begin!!
hey Judaaaayyyy waving and sending hugs to you sistah. glad your back in the online world again.

Good News - my sister Alice got accepted for the SBRT (cyber knife) procedure on her lung cancer.
The doctor just called her. It will probably be 3 weeks before it gets started. She will be called to go in in the next week or so to go in to be measured and fitted for the machine.
Hi Susan, cyber knife mmmmmm could they be thinking of using the Internet?
Just kidding, I never heard of that, something very new?? Amazing what the medical field is doing with all that technology.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
Pegi - Alice is really thrilled about this non-invasive procedure. Having lost 3 pieces of her lungs means she can't breathe that well. No point thinking she can walk and talk at the same time, and going out on a windy day doesn't happen. This way only a small piece will be taken off.
Less recovery time too.
Obviously it's in the US, and previous to this was available in Ontario (closest to Alice) but not in Manitoba. Now it's in Manitoba too (Winnipeg, actually) so there's no cost for travelling.
She's able to have it because the tumour isn't growing at a fast rate, and other considerations........
well, she moved out, the cops were here, dhr is intervening, the judge has called, detectives wanting to know if I want a warrant issued for her. grand son is a mess. we are trying to come to an agreement. meanwhile having nervous break down and am so sick to my stomache
SOrry to hear your going through so much Kathy! Maybe a warrant will make her wake up and realize what is going on?
Susan, praying for Alice, such wonders they can do today.
Oh Kathy, you must have a lot of strength to go through all this. Hoping all turns out well.
Passing through on my way back to bed. Made quck trip to see mom over Easter...about the same but grumpier. She was telling us of all the hppenings at the nursing home....sex on the brain! Nurses told us this is not unusal for the elderly for some odd reason.
Had surgery this morning for my cataract...went great but still want to sleep so later.........................
Kathy - you're going through so much...... Prayers for you.
Marion - yaaaaaay - cataract surgery is over!! Now, all you need to do is rest and get your eyesight back!
Thanks for the prayers for Alice, Pegi
Thank you, Sue :-)
Glad to hear you got to see your Mom for a bit, and yes, sex seems to be a common things for older people. My cousin went through a bad phase of it! Glad to hear also you had your surgery on your eyes, how long for recovery?
Prayers go out to all that need.
Hey Pegi!! I envy your days in California for sure. You and Cindy get to play out more often!!
Am thrilled for Alice, Susan. Cyber blade is something new to me, but at least she has that wonderful option.
Sis Kathy, I am so so sorry that your daughter now is putting you through something that SHE can control, if she wanted to. Doesn't she understand that she now has to put Kaden first? Especially with his problems?
Guess no amount of you and Michael trying to reason with her will do her any good for now. So, you just sit back and let God take care of the situation.
Yay Sue!! Your happy hormone is kicking in. Just what you need sistah.. some money coming in from unexpected sources!!
We're yet to do our taxes, but I know we'll be paying State tax since the state has increased the tax rate last year. Hope it's under $10 Lol!!
I know you'd be waiting impatiently for the arrival of your good friend.
Marion, when I get to be your mum's age, I hope I won't have sex on the brains!! That would be hard on my breathing!! Lol!!
Happy to know that you had a successful cataract surgery.
That means pretty soon you'd be able to do intricate appliques right?
Well hello Sistah Judy. Watch out now, you'd be so tied up on that new pc and won't be having much time for housework!
Good luck on the kaleidescope blocks. Remember you need lots of yards for 4 blocks, as you'd be repeating patterns for stack and whack to be successful.
This is the vid. presented by the original creator of Stack and Whack.

Now you will BE busier!!
Hey LK!!
Thanks for the late coffee!! I've been busy SLEEPING.
Yep.. sleeping on and off through the day. Hope I don't come down with something.
It is in the 60s now, and expecting to drop to the 40s. And it's been raining too. Think that's why my body wants to hibernate!
LK, the nurse said it is fairly common with the elderly. Of course my mom says it is all the others around here....she told Sue, she is dead, she hears what is going on. Hummmmm.
Jaye, I slept most of the day also but I had a little help from a drug/drugs. Eye is feeling so much better, a little scratchy but nothing bad.
Kim is taking me in the morning for post op check and then 2 weeks of restricted activities. BTW, did I mention Kim took me out for breakfast following the surgery. What she didn't tell me was I had "YES" written above my left eye in bright blue letters!!!! Oh I got so many smiles and nods this morning...I just thought everyone was being so friendly today....NOT!!!! Just smiling because they could see the blue writing. Oh well, didn't make my breakfast any less enjoyable...in fact it was great!!!
Back to bed...still so sleepy
Marion, sounds like they marked they eye for surgery? They should have cleaned it up, before you left. Too funny!
Jaye, sure hope your not coming down with another cold!
I will be gone for the week end. Leaving in the morning for a got,rod show inmAustin, will be back Sunday. Oh, hobby lobby visits too! Need more black fabric.
LOL The other one should have said "No" LOL
In bright RED lol
thank you for all the love and support.
Sending prayers Kathy
Thank you Jaye for the links......
ok, it's official, I will be moving april 20th. I just bought a new bed and carpet shampooer, now i'm tired. haven't been able to reach my daughter all day.
