Not here sistahs. Black gloomy mornings that the heater is still on to keep us warm.

New maple trees are starting to leaf out, and forsythias bloom brightly. But the flowering plum tree stopped blooming due to the sudden cold.
Star magnolia blooms 'burnt'!

Wasn't a good day to come on past weekend, as I was in the depths of self pity. So, it's better that I stick to watching tv, sew a bit or just get off my vege kick and junk!! Bad me.

Well, I use all my towels!!

Well, we had a good trip, Rory won his baseball game, 4-0! He was so proud!
Then Dylan had his 1st Birthday party! They had a party at a petting zoo, and he had a blast! He had his first horsey ride!
He loved the wagon ride too!
Oh, and look at the roadside flowers in bloom, bluebonnets, and others...

Looks like a great trip LK!! I can't wait to see my angel in May, and of course the new bundle o'love... ^_^

I have not used any of mine, and I'm still trying to figure out a place to display them all........................

So happy your trip was a great one. And I'm so jealous of the flowers!!!!!

The roadside flowers were pretty sparse, but hopefully there will be more in a few weeks, they are usually heavy on the roadsides during Easter week end.

my weekend was not the greatest. family time at this resort was not great ! cuz it was a dump !! served me a $7 drink at the bar in a plastic cup !!!! food was nasty cold at their buffett. we went out to eat after that.
some young kids were starting there spring break in the room next to us and yes ..... they got me at 2 am banging on the door and I threw opened their door .. it was not pretty. crazy, white, middle aged woman with no bra on , t shirt , in leapord print jammies , screaming top of lungs. The expressions on there face was priceless !!! :rofl:
so we came home early and i sure gave them front desk people a few words also before i left. I yelled at them " I have had better service , better cleaner rooms. better food at truck stops !!! then this place , you people need to get your managment team better attitudes also "

Wish I had been there tosee it too!!! Glad you had the nerve to sound off. Most people just walk away....

i always confront stupid ! LOL and when its 2 am mama is not happy with loud music and yelling young kids running up and down the halls slamming doors. i mean really ????

Well Sue, you should have got credit for such a bad stay at the hotel.
Oh yes, I can imagine the sight of you scarring the dickens out of those cretins! You're also a tall woman, and that's a PLUS!!
I had been in that kind of situation once. But I called up the front desk first, then banged the dickens on the wall to get the party goers' attention. I won't have the guts to confront them face to face like you, as they were collegiates, and probably zoned out off their minds!

Morning everyone.
A few years ago Tood and I were in San Antonio at a Best Western. We were sound asleep, and all of a sudden rhe people next door starter yelling, then he started throwing her around the room, beating the crap out of her, as we called the front desk to call the cops, they were knocking on thier door, asking if everything was OK. The guy answered the door, and said all is well, as soon as the motel person left they were right back at it, so we called 911. When the cops for there they were still fighting, and the guy finally answered the door. They finally got her out, and had to call an ambulance, she was un conscious. They took him to jail. Made me feel so bad for that lady. We read later she was a hooker he had picked up, and was trying to kill her. She recovered and testified in court, he went to prison.

Oh wow! LK, if you hadn't called he might really have killed her! You earned a star in heaven that day!

I have been cutting appliques for bird house swap. working on quilts for Malena and Ryleigh....think I will put the appliques aside for a bit and do some stitching on reverse side for Malena, and need to figure out something for Ryleigh's reverse side...

I have sewn some 'logs' for the BH swap. Now to cut out some birds.

charm blocks from swaps, sashed with a few different colors of butterfly fabrics.. put the front together in three pieces, doing large blocks for the reverse side. going to add some butterfly appliques. going to quilt it in the three pieces, then put it together.

I'm fine. Still have a cough from all the junk I had in my lungs,. but feel just fine.

Bill's Dad is having some major issues. He has alzheimers, and now he has a hernia and the Dr. says he isn't well enough to go through with the surgery for it....sigh...it's really been hard on Bill and his step-mom.

Took Harlee for a walk around the lake. She was a happy camper boy, she pranced around and of course had to take a swim. Had my camera (I always have it with me now) so got a few pics.

This is a house in the neighborhood, been meaning to take a picture of it for the last couple of years, lol What does it remind you of?????

Jaye - what snow? It's sunny, and spring-like - hardly any snow left.
I can run out without a jacket, but do need to run right back in again lol
Thunder - you may think 46 is cold, but with the sun our 43F isn't bad.....

We still have about 6" of snow on the ground but we are expecting temps in the 40s this week which should put a good dent in it.
Still no green yet though.
