Thank you Betty
Did you get your kitties inside again?
Yes, just now..spring must be just around the corner as Riley is starting to sit near the door just waiting to escape. She really is an outdoor kitty but I'd not want her out in the cold while I'm away.
Just watched a show where humans gained their right in some cemeteries to be buried with their owners.
Many of you might remember when my girlfriend Shawnee lost her hubby and that evening his dog died, she had it buried in casket along with hubby. Not sure how she did that.
Well now that everyone is in for the night will try to sleep a few hours..now let's hope I don't sleep in!
oh, I doubt that you'd sleep in........ likely too excited to lol
Have a wonderful, and safe, trip, Betty!!
Morning all,
Sipping coffee, baggage at the door waiting for Airport Limo..close to 2hr drive if changing to another vehicle in Barrie.
Was told pick up in Penetang before me, I've friends leaving for Jamaixpca this morning, would be funny if they were the pick up. My brother Mike and wife Kim are flying to the Punta Gorda this morning as well..think their flight leaves at 6:00' maybe I'll run into them as well..everyone is escaping the snow I guess.
Enjoy your day, will gab when next I have wifi..
Prayers for all in need
Safe travels Betty. I know you are you on your way to TO. It is snowing here so I hope it missed you and your road trip to the airport was problem free.
No my fever didn't go away it spiked way up yesterday. Am to pick up a new script in the am. Back off to the warm bed. It sure is cold here this morning.
~~~~~ to everyone!
Dianne
Omg what a morning so far, no snow at home but Barrie had quite the blizzard, roads were terrible!
Airport limo didn't pick me up until 4am, 1 hr late..went to call to see where they were, no dial tone, just a hmmm..wifi and satellite were ok..oh well, will deal with it when I get home.
Then I stand in a line up only to be asked the address I'm going to..dah, with Darlene picking me up who would hunk I needed address..no address no travelling..stupid of me..so off I went to find a phone, woke Darlene up..back in the lineup.
Start in a lineup at customs..agent cheques my passport, asked me how come I come across the border so often..told him I wanted to become an honorary USA citizen..solemn face he had..lol
Got in a lineup for baggage, got it on the conveyer, attendant saw 'fragile' off it came had to walk to another area, put it through a screener, attendant wanted to know what was in it..another story to be told...FINALLY I'm sitting at entry where I catch my plane..I'm tired out
Dianne, sorry to hear you are unwell, drats it's been with you a LNG time..let's hope the meds help.
Sending safe travel wishes to Judy and Steve this morning. For some reason, I didn't connect that both Judy and Betty were going the same day!!! I'm sure Betty is now well on her way to Florida and that Judy and Steve are on the way or just about to get going. Keeping you all in my prayers for a safe and fun journey....
Dianne, sure hope this new script will kick this fever!!!. Diesel must be chomping at the bit for a good long walk by now.....
We got about 8 inches of new snow on Tuesday and it has been flurrying every since. Not enough to mount to anything - just irritating. The temps in the day are supposed to go to around 40 for the next few days with temps at night below freezing. Perfect weather for the maple sap to flow. It will be a good year for syrup I think.
Off to start laundry. Have a great day everyone....
If I understood Judy correctly, today is their packing day. They are leaving Saturday and will spend the night, probably in northern Mississippi and continue on Sunday as they can not take possession of the rental until 3PM Sunday afternoon. When I last spoke to her the van was in the shop getting new struts and a general tune up for the trip. I think she said it would be ready Friday morning. It is a 950 mile drive and takes about 15 hours so they are going to break it into 2 days.
I have been off for a while as I had a knee replacement operation on March 11. Surgery went well and they used two different blockers so there was no pain after surgery. I mean it; absolutely no pain. I live in the villa of a retirement community and I came over to their Center for my rehab. I get room, board and physical therapy here. I have been here a week and it looks like I can ago home next week. I have really been working on the PT and they say I have made good progress. I have been walking since the day after the operation, moving with the walker and I can take care of myself now. I need someone to walk with me for long walks but go to bathroom and dinner alone.
Yesterday we went to my villa to see if I needed to do anything to get ready to come home. A few minor changes and we will be in business. If is a pretty open floor plan.
Knee hurts when we finish with PT but it is no pain no gain kind of thing. I will be happy to be home where they don't wake you at 3:00 am to measure the incision!? Lights, loud talk, etc. and I can't wait to get home!
Janice!!! SO good to see you posting. Your surgery was on my b-day - how about that?
Glad your surgery went well, and the pain blockers too - that's fabulous!
Oh, and do they wake you up to give you something to sleep? My mom & I were talking about that the other night - you can be sound asleep, and they'll wake you up...... blech!
It's natural to have pain when you're first exercising..... doesn't take medical issues for that LOL
How're Stacey, Jonathon, and the new wee baby? Did they get up to see you after your surgery?
Happy and safe travel Betty and Judy and hugs and prayers to all. We are to get several inches of snow here tomorrow. OUCH!!! BEV
So tired, gab in the a.m.
When we do we'll not mention husqvarna..not laughing
zipped the lip re: Husqvarna..........
Is she in jail and "lights out" is early? Oh my!
Morning all,
Looking forward to a day of Forida weather, sunshine or not!
Omg Darlene look healthy with her tan, wonder if I can catch up this week, likely not but a few shades of brown would be nice.
Debbie,mhowever are you and Shannon?
Can smell coffee, might as well get up to fresh bowl of strawberries..going to spoil myself..believe we are going to fleamasters , I'm in a froggie swap, might be a good place to be looking for one.
Good morning all.
So glad to see you post Janice and it sounds like things are going well with your recovery. Take as easy as you can while doing the best you can with PT. Almost like a double-edged sword!!! Will you be able to sew at all?
Thinking of Deb and Shannon this morning as well. Praying for more answers...
Dianne, I'm praying you are on the mend too.
Where is Thea????? I know, she is busy with her teaching.....
Bev, you are sounding so much better. I know what you mean about not wanting any more snow. We have had it up to here as well and can't wait for mud season!!!!
A quick wave to all before I head for the sewing room~~~~~~
Thank you all so much. It is nice to log onto here and see such caring people and kind words.
I am that little kitty on the end of the rope, just hanging on right now. You know, I can handle my health
issues, but when my kiddo's are so so sick....it knocks the wind right out of my sails.
Yesterday, Shannon had 4:30 appointment, and her phone rang at about Noon. It was the doctor himself
telling her to "come now". That got my heart beating high speed for sure. He had talked to her doctors at Strong
and I think the reality of all this hit him and although he knew it was serious....I think Strong told him just how
serious with her past history. I do not think Shannon told him everything as a "new patient".
SO, that said, she is on a couple new meds/dosages, continues the shots til Sunday night and then takes
two pills for now. Priority Monday is to get her into a Hematologist pronto.
Me, I will be fine. Soon as I go get that dish of strawberries from Betty and some of that sunshine!
I have a rough weekend to get through, tomorrow is DS's birthday...not really knowing where he is or how he is
and DH has decided to clean and PAINT his bedroom. I think this is DH's way of healing ....but it hurts. AND if
we are thinking of moving....it needs to be done for progress on putting house up for sale.
Hugs to you all.....Have a wonderful day/weekend.
Debbie
Waving, high temps, right now 86.. Been to flea market and Joann's..
Janice so nice to see you post..excellent that all went well and not as painful as it was thought.you will be telling yourself you should have done it years ago. Likely you are improving in great strides because of the hard work re excercizing. Just think you soon will be running to fabric shops..lol
Barb, what are you sewing? More crayon totes?
Storm Virgil working it across the country, will the severe weather hot your region?
Debbie picked up all the makings for fruit cocktail, just had a bowl..strawberries mighty fine..corn for supper tonight..life is good!..saved you some
Let's hope tomorrow Shane will know how you are hurting and will call..he'll be missing you all as well.
Debbie now that Shannon is 22 does she still let you come inside when she meets with her doctor..let's hope the meds help. Prayers for Monda's appointment.tell Paul if he needs a stress released, I've a few rooms I would love to have painted.
Jean, just a few more days anspd you and Mary get a giant siza armwrap from Judy..hope they are not running into bad weather...saying severe thunderstorm warning tornado watch in your, Mary,and Marion's region..think you are ok Bev?
update on sewing machine
Yesterday there was limited staff at the Joann's husqvarna sales area where I bought the machine, spoke to the salesclerk who was not helpful at all, kept saying her manager wouldn't be in until today..had a few words..
This morning hated to go in, decided the quiet and nice method would be the best..manager told me to have a seat, Darlene joined us..I went through all that had transpired..she said likely I wasn't told about the no warrantee because they didn't know..I explained that I was glad they are now aware but that had I known I would not have bought it even at the Christmas sale price. she said what she would like to do pending approval would be to try and have a replacement machine ready for me before I leave..does not help the no warrantee situation ..guess the meeting her 1/2 way was that any husqvarna dealer in Buffalo would take it in for warrantee..I'm there often enough that it is not the end of the world..NOT going to fight for more..now it's not written in stone yet but here is hope'ing..heard her on with her boss..boss couldn't believe either that Canada wouldn't..the sheet I provided showed Canadian contact and supervisor was going to check WHY it wasn't..we will see, felt a little better about it vs what yesterday sales agent was telling me... Big sigh
Debbie - hugs and prayers for you & Shannon.......
Betty - glad you got "half way" with husqvarna...... better than what I'd expected, and wonderful for you!
Our "techie" friend came over with his wife & new baby (yes, I kissed his chubby cheeks) - 5 months old.
Brent fixed Bob's printer issues & now the driver is installed and printer is working! yaaaaaaay - I "only" worked on it for 1 1/2 days......... and it took Brent 10 minutes.......... arrrrrrrgh!! I did what Brent did, but maybe the machine doesn't like me? LOL
Heading out to see if I can get new lenses (scratched) for my glasses without getting new frames - just CAN'T afford it all..........
Isn't that always the way Susan, all that time spent and someone does it in minutes..
Just back from the ocean..beautiful, here is hoping tomorrow is another day of the same..picked up Chinese then Jammie's and rekax
(((Debbie, Shannon))) Betty...please soak some of that Florida sunshine up for me... :o( I'm tired of cold!!!
~~~~ Waving Hi all!
This was sent to me Betty and I KNOW you and all here will love it. Best ever!!!!!

Waving big time Judy..let the good times roll.
Barb, thanks, reminds me of same talent I'll be seeing end of July..trying to talk debbie into spending the weekend, morning to night tribute artists, would be nice to have some of you join us
Going back to listen to the link
o boy - does he Ever look like Elvis...... when he was thinner!! lol
He's wearing the white outfit & cape I remember him wearing when he was "heavier", but never realize the cape was a picture of the American Eagle........
Love the show when they crown the aelvis in Collingwood..entire screen turns into he eagle..so powerful it gives me shivers ..
Never expected to watch Elvis...and cry! That was beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Morning everyone..
Well Debbie, if you want to cry again you will have to spend the weekend with me for the Collingwood Elvis festival..he will be at one of the venues and likely looking to win Canadian title. Lol
Checked his calendar and he has it listed..

Greatest Elvis event. Mim sure he competed there in other years, he looks like one of the .eye candy I was eyeing. Lol
You all know my doors are always open and room for one more
I'm at the bewitching hour again, no can sleep..

Morning everyone, Betty, glad to hear you made your trip. And glad to hear Judy made it to Mississippi!
Sounds like the travelers are doing okay so far. Judy and Steve - please be careful!! The weather reports are not the best for LA but I know you will take care.....
Betty, sounds like you are getting some relax time now. Hope the weather there stays nice for you......
Off to go shopping. Waving to all!~~~~~
Prayers for all in need: special ones for Dianne, Deb and Shannon....
5 to 8 inches of snow today and another 2 to 4 tonight. Rick has to take his daughter home to Springfield today. There is to be a freezing mix this evening. I hope they leave early but you know the younger ones don't worry about things like we do . HUGS to all BEV
It was 51 yesterday and 31 this morning.
Bev, if weather is really bad couldn't he put off bringing her home until tomorrow? You,ust have enjoyed having her with you this past weekend!
Betty, we had warnings until this morning. It was a very nasty 24 hours here...heavy rains bringing more rivers to the flood stage, non stop lightening that really bothers me. Of course it always comes with the loud thunder that jars everything in the house. We are fine but I read this morning that there are some large areas of Tally without power and some roads block with big trees. It is great having some beautiful scenic road with the trees covering them until storms like these come through. Not so good!
Enjoy the sunshine!!
In for lunch, not sure what it wants to do Marion..maybe rain..ok when it's at the end of the day!
THAT ELVIS TRIBUTE IS THE BOMB !!!!! Thank you for sharing....Deb & Shannon, on this Palm Sunday I lift up my prayers for your return to health......all you travelers, God go with You !!! I am ready for Holy Week....God Bless Us All !!!!!
Heartwarming to see the affection we all have for each other..
Talked to Jeff this morning, as they were not sure about when I'd get home or how tired I'd be family is gathering at his house on the Saturday for Easter dinner..they make it early as its a fair drive..we all spent Christmas there so guess my boys are now taking over special family gatherings..not sure I'm pleased or sad.
The storm we were supposed to get tomorrow is going south of us and they are saying temps in the 40s all week. It's beginning to warm up!!!!!
I'm so glad you all are enjoying the Elvis video. Norm and i sat here with our eyes closed and found it hard to believe it wasn't Elvis. He is great!!!
It is hard for a while after the kids take over the holidays Betty. I, too, hated to let go but with my son-in-laws allergy to animal dander, we didn't really have a choice. We love Scott dearly and would and will do whatever is necessary. So we have learned to help in other ways. And now with my breathing issues and Norm's cancer concerns, they are letting us do less and less. Sometimes we just put our feet down and say we ARE going to help in some way and they know we need to. Other times we are grateful that they care so much!!!
Glad the storm passed you by Barb, you habpve had enought of it I'm sure.
Know how you feel about letting go, not easy! Guess the knowledge of family stll getting together as a whole should be enough.
Thinking of taking I-95 a good way north if the weather cooperates..starting to get tired of I-75. Lol. Being east and hearing of possible storms made me doubtful re mountains..
What are you sewing on..
