Oh wow Crissy, that didn't take long..let's see, there are options in the extra's I believe that you can change your info..going to look?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today??chat with friends
wasn't there..maybe when it's a name change you have to contact admn and they change it.
LOL as soon as I got the paperwork I went to Social Security and DMV and legally changed my name. I'm looking too...
I found where you can change your name and email address, I did that, but I'm looking to change my user name. I know it can be done because other people have done it.
Thank goodness, look at the mess I'm in with my name or rather names..
Are you still living in the apartment? Liking it?
Yes, I am still there, I hate that apartment, it's too small, too noisy, too everything except cute, it is cute, I will give it that. I also like being in the city, that house is just way too far out.
Crissy, so glad to see you posting and I think it is time to celebrate! I'll join you in that hot toddy too!
Luna will be at the vets till tomorrow morning, as she has tick fever/ehrlichia. I pick her up in the morning.
Crissy, you have to contact admin, and tell them you want to change your name.
Oh poo, I was hoping it was easier than that, oh well. I'll bug someone tomorrow.
Oh poor Luna! Drink lots of water Luna lol!
Doesn't Luna have her proceedure tomorrow??
LindaKay, got the package tonight for the perriwinkle kit...tks
Did you or anyone else want a template..going to call Greg tonight and have him do some up
Crissy, sending the biggest armwrap..
crissy !!!! sew good to see you !!!!
yet another awesome quilt Betty...just looked at the video for it....looks like fun.
(((Luna))) Betcha you need hugs too LK. Its hard to leave them overnight once they have come into our lives isn't it?
Betty I have a severe case of the BLAHS. Man I have had enough of this winter. This last storm really did me in and the lane as well. The lane is a disaster. I have never seen it this icy - ever. The visiting nurse got her self stuck crossways on the lane at a very steep hill. Took 3 of us who live on the lane and all of our ashes to get her 'unstuck'. Don't think she will ever come back down this lane again. Poor thing! I reallly felt bad for her. I ended up driving her car out to the county road she was so flustered.
Holding you all close to my heart even if I don't post.
Dianne

holding you right back Dianne, we miss you when you don't post.
Luna had surgery today, because of her illness, they are keeping her overnight.
Dianne, you need to pop in here more often, we will cheer you up.
Good evening all.
Betty I can't imagine you being bored. I know what you lmean about the magazines this month. Nothing really caught my attention either...
How wonderful to see you post Crissy. You have been missed.
Debbie, hoping and praying that you get good news tonight.
Know what you mean Dianne about being ready for this winter to end. 6-10 inches coming in tomorrow night and Thursday. I'm getting very tired of white....
Is son adjusting to this wonderful winter weather Thunder? Hope he is prepared for snow tomorrow and Thursday. sounds like he is doing really well with school.
After seeing the pictures of Judy's Jake, I can't seen to visualize him in a chef's hat!!! A wrestler and a chef!!! What a combination.....
Enjoy your evening everyone.....
Crissy, Crissy, Crissy!! Great to see you posting again!!
Yes, you have to contact admin to change your name, and they told me I could only do it once..... blech rofl
Yes Betty - doing by hand. It's about 1/2 done. I knew I could do it quickly, as it's only 36" x 42" or so (haven't measured it, but that's what the directions said it would be. And as each block is an HST (4 triangles), it's going rather quickly.
Barb, he walks from barracks to gym, from gym to classes, from classes back to barracks. thankfully not very far !! he has said it is cold !!! He has not touched his vehicle since it was parked when he arrived. Not allowed....I just hope it will start when the time comes, that they are allowed. probably a few more weeks...My understanding is that the mess hall is in same building as the classed. they are on a very tight leash.
Just woke up, Ann will be here in a bit, sipping on neo citron..I think I should have told her not to come tonight but would be nice for us to win the jackpot.
Dianne, with watching the news you have been hit with more of the ice than we.they were saying that we've had just a bit above average in snow depth and cold. Remember last March when the kids were on spring break and we broke almost every conceivable record?? This March break not likely to hit double digits..was -14 this mornimg when I left for work.
Nice that you helped dig the nurse out but Lordy you could have badly nursed yourself.. The blahs are difficult, not enough sunshine in our lives..as the girls said, we are here for you and you definately are missed. Hugs coming your way.
Thunder that is a tight leash, takes someone soecial to be able to adhere to such rules/regulations..almost as bad as being n the prison system.
I'll get Greg to cut enough templates to send them to you, use them or not, at least you will have it should you want to try..we'll see how mne goes. Was a long/long day just sitting today..might bring my fabric and cut the quilt out tomorrow..Suzanne likelupy won't be in due to an extraction, been waiting for dentist appointment for over a week so depends on what else they may do.
Susan, don't give up the ship but you really should try machine quilting, know its not tradition but it enables you so much freedom in design.
Betty, I would loce the template please? Let me know the cost when you get them done.
No cost, I just have to drop it off to Greg for cutting. I'll cut the triangular paper for you as a guide. I believe it's 9 1/2 inch square folded in half to make a triangle.. Should be fun and great way to use scraps.
Sounds like fun, can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hello To All;
So excited the Friend Fairy dropped by with Crissy and Dianne ! YAY! Crissy- remember I used to be 4004 and now I'm MaryandLance... Some gal changed it for me and it was no trouble at all..
CONGRATULATIONS! Go get you a sugar Daddy ! Just kidding... you are standing on your own feet and feeling really good it sounds... not that you weren't on your own 2 feet before... just now not burdened... glad to hear the freedom in your words....
Oh Dianne... come visit... we had sunshine and 75* today... If you set out tonight you'll make it for the crawfishboil Sunday ! How is Diesel doing? That poor nurse... very Thankful I'm sure you helped calm her down.
Thunder... Sailor is doing so well ... great news...
LK would love to see Malanas quilt and I really want to see Barb's totes to see if I recognize any of those "FAT QUARTERS" (Said as if I know what I'm talking about LOL)
I'm hoping by week's end I'll be caught up... Take me for a walk Dianne... worked so hard today then found myself at home at 4p and started to clean up the back yard some more... I saw the prettiest cardinal I actually found myself smiling out loud....
(LOL)
Hugs all... Spring is coming soon... just hang tight....
Mary
Not been a good day. Shannon is a mess, blown veins, 2 new IVs today both blew. they sent for the ICU nurse who came and looked, said "no can do, she needs central line".
Won't put what Shannon (or I) said to that on here. They called in doctor, he took a look and he said "no can do...not happening she has nothing there". SO,
she is unhooked and on oral antibiotics. Still needs hospital monitoring.
Tomorrow the eye specialist comes in, special instruments to look in back of her eyes, check and measure pressure as concern for eyesight if not take care of..and fingers and toes crossed, we are fighting to come home. I am just worn and beaten.
So happy to see Dianne & Crissy on here!
OOHHHHHH Went to gift shop and got Shannon a little Elephant. She loves them. BUT looked at tag....name is THUNDER! Thats a good sign,
well it was til she threw it at me. lol
Sweet dreams all
Debbie
Oh Mary it was gorgeous in the woods today. The trees are still laden down with heavy snow - everything looks like a Christmas card. Diesel was hot on the trail of a rabbit at one point. Thankfully he hasn't caught one yet. The sun was really bright today so slogging through the snow I worked up a sweat quite easily and found myself tromping around in a pair of jeans, hoodie and work gloves. Didn't need a hat, long undies or a heavy coat. Could have used your help moving some of those logs but now I can eat my bowl of ice cream tonight and not feel guilty. Warren was always the ice cream eater and me not so much. The weirdest thing has happened - now I really enjoy ice cream and would love to have a bowl each night. We also saw 12 wild turkeys tromping through the field to the east of us. Diesel ran up to 1 of them 1 day and tried to have a conversation with them. They don't speak dog! What a sight - there were turkeys and it seemed like dogs everywhere. Dress warmly Thursday and we will go for another walk. I want to check the maple trees and see if it is "Time".
Thunder I am positive in many ways your son is just as glad he doesn't have to worry about traffic and getting to class on time right now. Probably some of the people in his class don't even have a driver's licence. Hope classes are going well for him.
Barb is Norm out on the road during the storm raging right now? Sure hope not but I seem to remember you saying something about he had to go to Maine this week.
Still standing Debbie after another whole day at the hospital? Hope Miss Shannon is feeling much better tomorrow.
Diesel is here with his leash in his mouth so that's my clue - time for 1 last walk before lights out. He's trained me well!!!
Sweet dreams everyone!
Dianne
Betty - I'm trying to make my stitches smaller, hence - hand quilting.
I've tried machine quilting, but it never worked for me. Guess my machine skills are only good for fabric, and not batting too......... everything meanders, and doesn't seem to stay straight. I have a walking foot, but don't know how to use it.
geeze - realized I'd forgotten to press "send" about an hour & a half ago lol

((((Debbie)))) Deep breath! Cuddle a cat or two and get yourself to bed. hehehe as if you will be able to do that. Right there with you sweet sister.
Dianne
Dianne, sounds like you had a great day to walk and get some exercise! I can just see Diesel running up to those turkey's!
Debbie, sending you lots of ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))), praying they find answers soon!
Mary we have cardinals here too! They are so pretty to watch!
OH! Debbie... I'm praying for you just as hard as I can..... Please Lord catch Debbie a break....
Dianne... The picture your words drew is just beautiful... Yes - I will take the walk with you Thursday but please let me know what is the "time" for maples because that sounds so very interesting and I noticed today I still have the maple? wine you sent... so I'm thinking thinking of what recipe or what to use that for..... Hmmm.....
Susan...picture of what you are making?
LK - Prayers for Luna too..
HUGS
Mary
Morning,
First night I sleep through till morning and look at the grabbers I missed..lonely when you are on your own and get up with nobody to say morning to, what a blessing it is to read your posts, like having you all subtitling having coffee..
Debbie, no words, how very overwhelming for you all. The only thing that could be worse is if her employer isn't understanding, let's hope that is not the case. Hoping you were able to get some sleep..know you want to be with her all day but perhaps you could come home and have a few hours of rest.
Dianne you just describe the picture perfect scene we had last week, breathtaking! Been passing on back concessions groups of wild turkeys..they are not concerned with us stopping to watch them, guess they know it's not thanksgiving and hunting season..
When I said hunting season, it brought back a memory of when I was at Greg's last Sunday..Melanie had a box of letters out that the kids had written to Santa..Kyle had at age of 5 asked Santa how many of the reindeers had been shot by hunters that winter and did he have enough of them left to pull his sleigh..lol
Mary, we will make a quilter out of you yet.. You must be feeling a tad better if you are out working in the gardens..love how yu smile out loud. I put birdseed out this past weekend for the birdies..will only do so until spring arrives..don't like feeding them, encourage their visit then have Missy the huntress hunt them down..yesterday morning I sat and watched a bluejay having its breakfast, they are so beautiful..woodpecker at my front tree, no sign of robins yet, likely not till April..
Dianne, do yu have a lot of birds spending the winter?
Susan, here is hoping you finish your project today..looking good?
I'm taking fabric to work as to cut everything I need to sew the quilt I need for Cindy's wedding so best I go pack up what I need.
What time do you finish work Mary in the afternoons? We could walk then as we have light until 6 pm or we could go in the morning. Dress in layers so you can strip as required. When you hike back in the bush you can work up a sweat quickly. You need to get some of that maple syrup on pancakes or waffles.Get it eaten up and I will send you some of this year's crop. Do you have it in the fridge? If you don't ,check it carefully as sometimes when it is really sweet it can mould. Once you open the maple syrup definitely keep it in the fridge.I store my extra maple syrup in the freezer and bring it out as I need it. Tha's because I usually get the gallon size jug so I can divy it up for family and friends.
Betty there are not too many birds this winter. Its weird. Lots of fool hens but no cardinals and bluejays. I can hear the blue jays but can't see them. Warren used to feed them but I didn't this winter. I like to put Diesel and the cats out on the deck for some fresh air and hate the mess the birds leave behind. The cats come in filthy!
Starting to get antsy about my income tax this year. With Warren passing and the transfer of some funds to me I have a feeling I am going to get dinged pretty good.Guess I should just get everything together and get it into the accountant - then I will have an answer.
Katie how are you doing? Keeping up your end of the bargain????
BBL
Dianne
How is your dad today LK or is it too early in the am to know?
I did not hear from my Sister yesterday. I will try calling her again, ans see what's up.
I have the birds this year!!! Bluejays, cardinals, mourning doves, nuthatches, woodpeckers, chickadees and more that I'm not sure of. We have been feeding them all year and I just love to sit and watch. It will soon be time to take the feeder in BEFORE the bears wake up!!!!!!
Sending prayers your way Deb and for you and yours too Linda Kay.
My friend Elaine is coming today for a sewing day. We are working on the Underground Railroad quilt together. Her Mom passed two weeks ago and she needs some girlfriend time. She is still not working since last Nov. when she was laid off. Remember I told you about her illness? Well, she can now see out of her eye and only needs the eye patch occasionally. The droop to the right side of her face isn't as pronounced as it was but is still there. She is 63 and has put in for her SS as nobody seems willing to hire her. We will share some laughs and tears but it will be a good day.......
Having pancakes and syrop from McDonalds this morning..not as good as our Maple Syrop but has to do. Left home early, washed my car, shopped at Walmart for a few groceries, hope the pop doesn't freeze in my trunk, bought the magazine that is out with Missouri Quilt patterns that are on utube..makes it easier to find supply list and more detailed directions..wouldn't you know the Perriwinkle Quilt is in it..so guess it's a good buy. First time I've bought a magazine that had the price being same in both USA and Canadian funds..was nice to see. Paul just called to say he's home with the cold/fever today, heard my voice and said 'you don't sound very good either' should have replied 'but us women are made of strong stuff, don't take days off' wouldn't have been a good time to tell him that lol
Wow Barb, sounds like you have a bird sanctuary..so relaxing listening to the sounds. Glad you will have a girlfriend day..will be just what your friend needs. Were you not getting a snow storm today?
Isn't that odd LindaKay that your sister hasn't called, she must know that you are on pins/needles waiting for an update. What time do you leave for Luna..you'll be getting doggie kissies for sure.
Dianne, have all my slips in my purse, should top and get mine done also instead of procrastinating.
Katie, you ok?
Betty - here's your GOOD MORNING! and made some coffee!
Wow what a lot of birds you have, Barb! We have sparrows and magpies (noisy, nasty birds - scolding all the time! - although with their black/white plumage, they are pretty).
I can understand Elaine's feeling blue today.... good that she has a good friend like you to spend time with.
LK - has your sister called with update on your dad?
Katie - how are you today?
It's Bob's birthday today, and he gave ME a pressie - let me sleep in. Oh well, will have to give him extra hugs and loving when I see him (I pick him up from work).
I'm going to a senior's home today, where our Pastor has services - I'll be in the choir.
Bible Study tomorrow, and afterwards we're going for Chinese food, compliments of one of the group. She got a gift cert from her g-ma's will (she raised Sarah), for $100 and Sarah wants to take us all out for lunch. The g-ma had wanted her whole family to go out together, but Sarah says they won't, so everyone in the family got a $100 gift cert to take their own families out. Sarah says as the church is HER family, she wants to take us out. She & her hubby recently split up, so it's only her and the two little girls (3 & 5). She says they'd never eat $100 of Chinese food, so she will take us out. Isn't that sweet of her?
Happy Birthday to Bob .. hear me sing with hoarse throat?? best wishes though!
Nice that you'll be treated to Chinese..been awhile since I've been..girls next week want to go out for lunch, maybe I'll see if I can make reservations at the Mandarin..do you have Mandarin in USA???
In Calgary, we're going to the Cherry Inn, I think.
We have the Manadarin Wok here, and I know we used to go to the Mandarin in Winnipeg, but don't think they're the same thing....
As Paul's taking the day off due to cold, couldn't you as well? You need to get some rest to get over this, or it will linger...... There, got off my soap box LOL
Well I'm already here so will struggle through the day, besides, Suzanne is at the dentist and might not be back and we've clients who are dropping documents this afternoon..
LK have you heard how Luna is doing this morning? Sure hope she gets to come home to her forever momma today.
Mary we are coming up on Sap running time right about now. It varies from area to area. When we had the sugar bush ours was the last to come in for the township. The sap runs best when it warms up during the day and then gets colder at night.
Trying something different today - we'll see how I manage. It is 10 months today that my guy passed away. Usually I stay at home all holed up and not wanting to interact with anyone. Today I am going to a friend's for lunch. She makes the best French Onion soup I have ever tasted. She is also going to make some Benne wafers. When I went to SC in the fall I brought her some back. She is a Pastry Chef and just loves to cook - by the time I left her place that day and got home she had been online, found a recipe and was starting to make some. I am hoping by being out and about it will help the day pass by quickly.
Whew! Diesel just gave me a fright. I am panting I ran so fast in the deep snow. The little rascal snapped his collar and took off. I should have realized before I paniced he wouldn't have gone far as he doesn't like to lose sight of me. I went in the wrong direction.lol I found him sitting at the lake side garden doors looking waaaay up at my den windows. lol at me. Since we were already out we just kept on stomping down the lane.
Now I need a second shower before I go out as I am all sticky, sweaty and bettin I don't smell so good either.
Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today ladies!
Dianne
OMG, at the size Diesel is now wouldn't take much to break his collar..what a fright.
Must say for me at least getting out helped. Enjoy the afternoon and remember, it's ok to be sad, you've every right to.
