Betty, I have done all my flying tickets that way. Never had a problem. Concert tickets also. SO, no worries.
Linda I had seen that picture on FB also and laughed!! I bet that woman is having second thoughts now....it is too cute.
I wilL SHhhhh you on the snow! LOL There was no snow in Ohio, but 1/2 way home through PA we saw it on the ground. It was quite cold
in Ohio though.
Glad to be home, hoping to stay here today but might have to go pick up Shannon. She is having trouble with headaches again.
Debbie
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? chat with friends..
Oh Thunder, be careful!!!
Geez Thunder, I guess that nasty weather moved down to your part of the state. Do I need to send some waders? The sun is trying to peek through now but not sure if it really wants to or not. I think, hope that is, the worst is over with for now. Lots of flooded roads in Tally and lots of trees down.
Other than extremely wet and loads of debris from the trees, things here are okay.
Will not worry then..just seems such a flimsy document to have, guess as long as it states the e-ticket number that's all I have to concern myself with..thanks for the info.
Mother Nature sure is putting on a show in all our neighborhoods, glad to hear there is no major damage done.
Debbie, Shannon sure has a lot of those headaches..part of her body chemistry..last time she went through testing there wasn't much they could do right?
weather bug on my phone says tornado watches are from Sarasota to 65 miles north of Brunswick Ga so far not windy, but lots of rain.....only thing that bothers me is son is at work, and he rides a scooter, will not be a fun ride home....he does have very good rain gear, but the winds worry me, when I know he is riding....
Debbie, Glad you made it through all the tests and are home again. Sending hugs.
It's still cold here. Have used about four or five times as much propane as last year.
It will probably be a while before the ownership question is settled so I'm putting one foot in front of the other. Remembering my agreement with Dianne to be extra careful not to do anything dangerous.
hugs, katie
Debbie, have you heard from Cindy lately..wondering how she is doing ? Is she back in the house?
Girls be careful out there, you don't have to worry about snow but tornado's yikes..
Betty, yes I heard from Crissy last week. She is busy with work right now. Not moving back in the house but selling it, too much
has happened to feel happy and safe there. She seems happy, although still busy working two jobs.
I am back from the foot Dr. he told me I did not have a planters wart, but a seeded callous! he softened the skin, and shaved off the top layer, but that is about all he can do for it! it is just the way I walk, and it put's pressure on that area, and causes a callous! Also sold be a special insert with a good arch support.
Barb, sorry to hear about the windshield on the truck, I think I would have to get home quickly and change my pants if that happened to me!
ladies, please be careful in that bad weather your having!
Let's hope the insert works LindaKay..perhaps you may have to go and have shoes especially made...be worth it if it eased the pain!
Gee whillikers, very little sleep for 3 days, sitting here virtually fighting to keep my head up lol best I have a nap before Ann comes to play t.v. Bingo
It is still somewhat nice here, but the wind is picking up a bit.
about 36 here, hard to believe a storm might roll through, perhaps passing through Toronto and not the northern country..won't trust it though, will put the telephones to the house just incase. Did you have a good rest? feeling ok today? how long before you get results?
I slept very well last night. I am hoping to hear about the tests by tomorrow. Will put a call in tomorrow if I don't. I am very sore all over,
soaked in the tub to help the muscles relax and took a med for the spasms after I knew I wasn't leaving the house.
I do know the nerve test was "off" on the right side, showing half the strength in muscles and reactions in nerves, but they do not know why.
It seems the nerves are not responding to what my brain is telling them to do more so on that side. BUT he doesn't know where the injury
came from (what the doctor hit or did) to cause this.
Shannon is in high maintenance mode right now, so I haven't had much rest today. She has OCD as bad as DH and once she gets on something,
it doesn't stop. She can't help it....and Paul is taking her to get her new lenses for glasses, so that will help a bit.
Must be frustrating when they get into that state..they must know they are off-balance but just can't control it!!
Well if they can confirm some of it happened during the operation surely you have cause to go after him. Sure doesn't give you back your mobility but you have to come out ontop.
will they further test to determine what is causing it rather than saying they don't know?
That part I don't know. I am hoping the MRI would show something. Yesterday, the EMG doctor suggested an MRI of the pelvic region with contrast that
perhaps the damages is there. Don't know if the ones they did yesterday (Thoracic and Lumbar) would show anything that low.
Shannon's issue is hereditary like DH, along with the chemo damage. And neither of them think they have a problem.
I talked to my SIL if he was like this as a child and she said YES, of the 7 kids, he was only one allowed "own" room because he was so bad.
Wish I had know before!!!
Got to keep him now Debbie!!! lol Feel badly for Shannon.
well, time to pack things up, not taking any changes, switching phones to home.
gab later
LK - never heard of a "seeded" callus before...... Is that because there's a black spot like a seed in the middle of it? That does sounds like a planter's wart, but obviously different enough to allow it's own treatment. Does the insert help?
You'll have to quit that drinking, lady, cuz that's why you're walking crooked LOL
Wind has picked up but no snow, imagine it will hit the city if it hits anywhere..no snow day for me.
Ann just left, said she and the girls are coming over to spend Sunday afternoon with me, wanted to warn me she said. Lol. Didn't win $100 let alone the $2,500..bad cards s usual.
Just took some meds, am so hoping I'll sleep through the night.
Hope you've all had a nice day
Night night
sweet dreams Betty. I did not sleep well last night either....hope tonight will be better, have to be to work early tomorrow..
One of my boys has one of those calluses, he is forever cutting part of it off, wonder if arc support would help him???? I will suggest some inserts for his work shoes.
Too bad you didn't win, Betty - think what a dent in FabricLand and Joanne's stock you could make lol
We had a big amount of snowfall overnight and morning today - about 5" on top of my car, and that's with a wind!
I hope both of you sleep well, Betty & Thunder.......
No Snowday for me..drats
Debbie did the storm miss you as well?
It is snowing here----8 - 12 inches expected... AGAIN!!!!
I don't think I will ever see spring......
Please say a prayer for my Norm as he is driving home from Maine today in this mess!! Thanks my friends...
Dozed off for an hour and what a difference an hour makes, snowing but not blowing so guess I will still be able to make it to work although they have cancelled school bus service
Prayers for Norm Barb, am sure you will be on pms and needles until he is safely home.
Best I get a move on..so could have stayed in bed.
Stay warm and be safe♥♥♥
Couldn't you take a snow day when it snows, Betty? LOL
Here I am, roads were good, just slushy, would hate to see it if it froze though.
Glad you arrived safe & sound! When you leave work, is it dark and how long will it have been dark if it is? That's when it freezes.......
I'm home about 1/2 hr before darkness falls..as it is, day gets longer/longer
3 weeks then Florida and then we will be in April and spring on our doorsteps..haven't found winter bad this year..
Put in a call Monday to buy a Gracie Quilting frame, she had to check if my Husqvarna will work on it (they add a unit that regulates speed)..called again yesterday, said she hadn't heard back from company..dare I call again today? Doesn't show well for customer service does it.
Betty -seeing as how you're here, I have an opinion question for you.
I'm working on my 30+ yo UFO. Here is it now, and the border fabric I'm thinking of using.
Am considering putting the lacy-look black on the side rows, and the black bordered lacy-look at the bottom side, with possibly the lacy-look at the top row.
I do not have enough black bordered fabric to put on more than one row. I'm about 1 ft short......
Another option is to put the black bordered on the sides, and add a "corner piece".
Your thoughts? Should I perhaps look at a totally different fabric?
btw - the current cream coloured corners - I will be embroidering a stylistic butterfly there....
Susan, that is so pretty! Did you make the center star? What size is it now, and what size are you trying to make it?
Betty, glad you made the trip to work OK!
It Just covers the edges of the queen bed. About 68 square, give or take an inch.
Yes, I made the center star about 30+ years ago, and it was SO Wonky - buckled in the middle and was off-square. My cousin Cher straightened it out, but to cut it square I had to lose some of the outer-most points. Good thing I had more of the points, so I added another border of the muslin and appliquéd them over top of the "cut-short" points.
Amazing what can be done when you have more of the same fabric, and a knowledgeable friend!
Susan, that is very pretty! I love the colors!
Betty, we had rain, ice, snow, rain, ice and now snow again. It is layering and making a mess to walk on. Leaving a fine mist that is icing on
the trees right now. BUT temps say 35...so I don't think it will stay.
Poor DH. Got home at 5:15 last night, I had dinner about ready, the phone rings. It is his work....had to go back in. So he ate and was on the
road for Hour drive back to Rochester. Weather was bad and he got there at 7;00. Gets everything together....goes up on the 4th floor to check
machine and finds out the elevator for tools/equipment is locked!!! He called around carried a few things up manually....but the ones he needed were
way too heavy. Called his Boss back ....no one could come in and unlock the elevator. SOOOOO he couldn't fix the machine. Left to come home
at 9:45....and weather was so bad he didn't get here til 11:15. Back up at 4:30 this morning and back to work. He has to be exhausted.
If I don't hear anything from doctors by Noonish, will call and see if I can get results.
Travel safe ....
Debbie
About the same here Debbie..it's snowing right now!
OMG, they are not very organized are they..poor Paul he must be beside himself, going in bad weather only not to be able to get his work done. He will be one tired hubby when he gets home tonight..will watch the clock along with you..here's hoping the call will involve answers.
Thank you Debbie!
Oh, your poor poor DH! To go all the way there just to find he couldn't do the work....... I'll just Bet he's exhausted... and with the bad weather, even the drive would be exhausting....
Debbie - I'm with you... need to call my Dr's office to see if they've MADE the app't for the MRI.
Hope you get the results soon!
I called the Drs office to see if they'd heard re: my scheduling of the MRI.
She said when she had an MRI it took a year to get one, and that it can take a long time (a month?) to even get it scheduled...... siiiiiiiiiigh.
There is this huge yellow thing in our sky. Shocking after so many days of dark heavy clouds. Think I might just sit on the deck awhile and enjoy it! Take care all who are having the bad weather.
Drats Susan, keep calling, eventually you will at least get the appointment date.
Marion, I so envy you sitting in the sunshine..3 more weeks and I'll do the same. How is your mom doing?? Been awhile since you've been south..
so boring here..took a quick run to the sewing boutique, bought some fat quarters for a birhouse block swap, have the design in my mind..didn't quite get all I needed so after lunch I'll drop Suzanne back at the office and go to Fabricland.
Oh yes I have been enjoying the sunshine after all the rain. Still muggy but I was out for a little while this morning.....reading and enjoying watching the activity (bird) on the lake.
I haven't been down since the first week of January as I am not allowed to drive that far by myself yet. With both children working and not many days off it makes it hard to go. Last night my sister said she was told by Hospice that mom has lost 5 lbs. in the past month and is definitely starting to decline more. I see the Ortho doc on March 5 so hopefully he will let me drive that far after that visit. We shall see.
Good possibilities I will be in the area when you fly back down Betty. Have to keep updated and maybe this time things will work out. Keeping fingers crossed.
