Well puts my mind at ease that they are not being physical..hear so many horror stories about things that go on in Mexico!
Grey sky, winds up..could get either rain or freezing rain..
Soon to get out of Jammie's..need a perm, called for appointment and Joanne said if I can be there for 3:15 she will take me today..far better than going after work on night this week.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? chat with friends..

Drats, drats and more drats..
Few weekends ago I had the flu, last weekend I was away, during the week don't get home until after post office is closed so today went to get mail..said there was a package labelled quilt and she sent it back..she is new and doesn't do anyone favors so if someone from this thread sent it, I'll refund postal $$$ and we will make alternate arrangements..boy I'm mad at myself and her
Betty, I have so much trouble dealing with people like that. One of my major reasons for avoiding people so much.
One of the worst things about this question of land ownership was Tony's concern that I would be angry with him. He has repeatedly reassured me that the land is paid for and in his name so he was really worried when he told me what they were saying. Luckily I didn't go off on him and after thinking about it overnight we figured out what the worst case scenario was in terms of what it might cost and I was able to assure him (and myself) that we'd be able to handle it. I think the worst fear for him was that I would be mad at him, rather than that he would not be able to inherit the land.
I'm still tired from the stress so I'm taking it easy. We are keeping up with work around the property and I'm playing with fabric and napping. I think both of us are relieved that this is not affecting our relationship.
hugs, katie
What are you doing with all the fabric Katie? Glad to hear you re assured Tony about the property.
Morning all..
Been up for hours just now deciding to go upstairs and have breakfast..even forgot to make myself a coffee.
Trying to find something in the craft room to keep me busy but at each turn something is missing to finish a project. It's find something or get dressed and go into Orillia and buy what I need..still not sure how energetic I want to be.
My tunny is just churning..I joined a swap, was excited because I was able to hand deliver some when in Frankenmuth with LindaKay/Judy/Karen etc and mailed some from there..my goal was to come home and get the other 4 or 5 packages mailed out..with everything going on I completely forgot (truly I did) now I'm embarassed, the only one who didn't comply with the rules/regulations..did not make my morning!
Glad things haven't changed between you and Tony Katie..that would be so sad...
this morning I was thinking about Cathy..how I miss her..guess some of my fault in not going to post office was Cathy would always when getting her mail, getting hers and mine..guess I'd best get used to it.
Maybe I should call, like nothing happened between us (and nothing did on my part) and ask if she'd like to go to Orillia for a ride...hmmm not sure I'm up to it
With all my blabbing I forgot to say safe travels Debbie..do you know how long you will be away for the tests?? Hope you will have wifi access to update us.
Thinking of dg friends this a.m. And their needs
Wondering how Crissy,Dianne,Marion,Suse and Bev are doing..saying a prayer that all is well in their lives!

Don't be embarrassed Betty, we all have that happen from time to time......I totally missed a whole swap, when my computer crashed....and I am sure some of them thought I was just using computer as an excuse!! I apologized, and sent my pieces out. that is all I could do. same for you...
safe journey Debbie sending ♥♥♥ love with you.
Betty, what swap did you forget about? Sounds like you need to make a list on one of your beautiful chalk boards where you can see it.
Your not alone, I have forgotten about some too. Better late than never is what I say.
Thanks so much for the well wishes. Almost packed and just checking in here.
You all hold me up so much.
Hopefully will have my Nook powered up and able to write from there. Should be back home Monday evening.
All testing is from 7:20 to 9:00, however the 9:00 test will take 2 to 3 hours and the one I hate the most (of course).
Hugs to all, a little bit of last nights show with George & Martina. So sad to see this Cowboy ride away! He did an almost 2 1/2 hour show!
Martina did about an 80 minute show.
Debbie
Have a safe trip Debbie...hope they have all the answers you need.
Looks like you were pretty close to the front row! Boy is he every showing his age, but he still looks good!
Eye candy, eye candy!!
Thanks Debbie..
Took a run to Orrilia, could have spent the day going from boutique to boutique but didn't...did visit the birdhouse store though, who would have thought one could fill an entire store with them,,did some ohhh's and ahhh's
Went to the Mariposa Market in search of a raisin pie, no go..went to the Sweet Cafe, no go then thought I'd go to the Country Market, I bumped into a woman, said I was terribly sorry for not looking where I was going..lady gave me the biggest hug..wasn't it an old friend I had lost touch with over 20 years ago..she works in the store..voila got my raisin pie and tortierre's both of which Sue made..we promised to get together soon.
I dropped into Fabricland, bought some fabric so I can entertain myself this weekend and am now home ready to get into something
Forgot to add,
At Fabricland I met the young lady that came here to teach us soap making, she was buying the brightest of colored fabric..she has to have finished by August 1,200 caps for children with cancer..she has met her goal for the last 9 years, over 10,000
Told her next time I'm at Joann's I will pick her up some yardage..what heart warming story...great people out there!
Glad to hear you bumped into an old friend Betty. Sure is nice of her to make so many caps for the cancer patients.
Safe Travels Debbie ! Keep us posted !
Betty - it occurs to me that just as you were missing an old friend... the Lord put a new old friend back in your life ! (HUGS)
I checked on my Canada seeds and some are sprouting! RE: the Lupines... I saw where it looked like some seeds were on top of the soil... so I pushed a couple down but I'm wondering if maybe the casings were all that were pushed up... part of the seed processing. I'm so ignorant about seeds... but this is fun.
The plants are so confused... we have blooms everywhere... Orange tree, hibiscus, even the Lady Banks Rose that I've never put in the ground from the first swap... it's never bloomed before ! I cleaned out one of the beds.... couldn't resist but it's really too early ... we may get down to 32 next weekend. Will just have to hope it's all okay.
Waving to all....
Hugs
Mary
Arrived safe in Ohio. Will say we are both exhausted from the late night.
Had a very nice dinner out with SIL & BIL at Longhorn Steak house.
NOW, I am crawling into bed early!!!
Sweet dreams
back at you Debbie ♥♥♥
Got to love these sleepless nights..
That flu bug hasn't quite left, just took a hot bath, gravol..will sit and have a hot chocolate and just maybe I can go back to bed.
Mary, wouldn't it be something if you got to grow some of my seeds in your garden..likely the casing..won't hurt to have pushed them back into the soil.
Glad to know you arrived safely Deb. I'll be keeping you in my prayers for good results from these tests.....
Well after hot bath and gravol I managed to sleep til after 7am this morning.
Light snow, won't amount to anything, just makes me happy that I can stay inside. Sooo what are you all up to today?
Me again..just called Noah to wish him happy birthday..he turned 15 today. Excited about getting one of those new snowmobile helmets..all are off for day snowmobiling north.
Don't send it my way..lol
Boys keep reminding me that I have to stockpile those snowmobile dickies with deer hide so after my demise they will have them..while looking for a few more 5" blocks in Christmas fabric, found 4 cut out pieces of Hyde..I'll finish a few things then get the knitting machine out and set up..did I give you a piece of Hyde when you were visiting?
Okay so I have relocated everyone. So much has happened I won't comment so as not to miss everyone. Well, not quite right....Debbie, thinking of you on this trip and hoping for great news from the test. Katie, in my thoughts also..please don't stress out!
I am almost afraid to say we are seeing sun after 2 1/2 days of heavy rains. Of course it is to resume later tonight with a 90% chance for tomorrow. Flooding in some of the lower areas around here....the parking lot at the grocery store I go to! Did get very lucky as I had a huge limb/tree fall about 20 ft. long and 10" in diameter.....came down on the deck but luckily only smashed on old lawn chair. Won't complain about the mess as it could have been much worse.
Stay well all.
Gee Marion...relocated? To this thread or a new home? Grin
Mary, I just pulled up the 10 day forecast....how insane is this weather gonna be? The few miles between us won't make much difference

Glad you found us Marion..are you now on the mend. Yikes, that is quite a piece of tree that came down, luckily as you say, no damage just hassle of getting it cleaned up and I hope you were not the one to do it. I imagine with the wetness in the ground the roots would rot making it easier for trees to fall?
Going to look at your weather Jean..Darlene called this a.m., Lordy she says it's been great weather and n the 90's
Now if it can stay that way for the week I'm down there it will be fantastic.
Just had company come in for the last hur or so, we were talking eye glasses, recommended I get prescription before heading south and that maybe I can get the glasses your side of the border as its less than 1/2 price of what I pay here..will check that out.
Jean, my computer did a "burp" the other day and some of the threads I have had trouble getting back on to. Nope I am not relocated in another house.......this will be my forever house until......
Yes Betty, it was rather large. The strange things is, I slept through the crashing. Kim is out of town and usually I sleep very light but no so this time. My yardman will have the honor of cleaning the mess up.
Looking dark outside and still only about 60 here today. My sister who is just north of Darlene said it is in the mid 80s and sunny.
Glad to hear all is okay, Marion...I was concerned that maybe your Mom had taken a turn for the worse. Yeah, I kinda think this will be our forever house too.
So glad the limb missed all the important stuff....we had some heavy winds and thunderstorms last week. Most of the really bad stuff stayed north of us, but it played havoc in Mississippi...tornadoes and bad storms. Our average rainfall for Jan and Feb is just shy of 10 inches...so far we have had 20.8 inches of rain....plus a really wet December. It always concerns me when the ground is so saturated and we get 40+ mile winds.....lots of really tall, big trees in my neighborhood. 67 here, but it is supposed to rain again and we will be looking at nights in the low 30's over the next week.....It will be heading loosely in your direction, but depends oh how strong the Gulf breezes are whether it actually gets there. I am still thinking rude thoughts for that silly Groundhog....(foot tapping) grin
Make that two of using thinking about the ground hog!!! The heavy rains and wind is what brought down this mess. It actually isn't a tree but a large limb off of one. Could have been a tree for the size! Unfortunately or maybe not unfortunately I have a very wooded lot but the previous owners did nothing to preserve the tree. They just cut the lower limbs and thus they have all grown really tall trying to outreach the others for some sun. Then weather like this and thing start coming down. I am about to have some selected thinning done..well provided I can convince the HOA . If they don't agree with me, then I will let them know if I have damage to the house...it will be their bill. :-)
Where I live, there was no HOA in place in the late 70's for this subdiv. A few folks moved here in the late 80's-90's and decided to start up one....it collapsed shortly before we moved here in 2001....city folk are not gonna get rural folk to pay to have someone tell them what they can do on their own property.....grin.
Make sure you back your request and their response in writing. If they say no...then call your INS co and let them know....they will go after the HOA if they allow a situation that is tentatively dangerous or costly to go unremedied. Gotta CYA these days.
Thanks Jean, I didn't know that about the insurance company. The last time I asked to have some cut I was told "they need to stay for homes for the woodpeckers". Yeap right but I have to pay to repair the damages and to have someone come in and clean the mess. We shall see what they say this go around. Funny thing is, I have noticed there very few trees in their yards. Hummm, wonder how that came to be?
Too welcome. Insurance cos are funny about things like that....if you request to have problem trees moved and they refuse, your insurance company has the clout (attorneys) to either make them change their mind or hold them liable for damages....just a small perk for all we pay in premiums...GRIN
Sounds like a case of do as we say, not as we do....tsktsktsk
You are so right about that Jean. Thanks again for the info. I love trees as well as the next one but some times common sense has to prevail.
We removed 26 trees when we moved here....kept 8 and it is only a 1 acre lot....glad we had no HOA. Grin
Well the rain is back yet again. Was hoping it would wait until later tonight but not to be.
