Cindy, nice yard to play in, seems I can work in the back yard but I don't get much acomplished. Once I get that old vine cut back I'll feel a lot better. It is attaching itself to our shed and going to ruin the shingles if I don't get rid of it. Wish DH would start feeling better so he could help me, but that flu plus his other problems really hit him hard. But,l I do think he is taking advantage of me as he knows what buttons to push. You would think I would have caught on to this years ago. LOL
If it is going to rain I wish it would start.
# Sweet Interruptions no. 254 #
it's raining here, and it is a cold one brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, and my Mom may get snow today
Love those pansies Cindy!
Sue, enjoy your day with Cookie, tell her Howdy from us please?
I got that in the Fairy swap last year, and I had sent my buddy same one ^_^
Dylan has an ear infection, that is what was bothering him. The Dr. gave them a script for amoxicillin.
well i think my day with cookie won't go . i have to cancel ... my windshield wipers broke ! i had them on and the wind flipped them over and snapped one in half ! it was weird ? scary too as i was driving.
uhg. and with all my luck it will rain tomorrow. can't take a chance .
i wll call her tonight.
Oh Oh, hope you can get them fixed soon!
BUMMER
Sue, that's the LORD's way of letting you know it's not safe to drive in high winds ^_^
Hey Cindy.. I'm supposed to say that!!!!
You hit it on the nail sistah!! So proud that you're in tune to the Lord's mysterious ways ;)
Yes, Sue.. that's a big sign from God, to stay home and be safe!!
LOL
i m so bummed.
i drove in to town with my one windsheild to take austin to his tutor. well she had volleyball practice at 5 pm well ummm our session starts at 4:30 ... so it was a complete waste of time ( kids bus ran 10 min late due to weather ) ! and with one wiper grrrrrr. why didn't she text me ? or call ? i guess she thought we would do a 1/2 hr session ??? good thing i texted her to say im running late .
uhg these young kids
then she asked me if we can make it at 4 pm and i said sure , thinking i wll just pick up the kids at school.... not going to work. Kids don't get out until 3;30 . uuhhhgggg * bang head on wall *... i hope we can get this resolved .
humpf that is my rant for the day LOL
Rant away, Sue, rant away!! You're right...... KIDS!!
Jaye - only have one grandchild, by my son (who I never see cuz I have NO idea where he is). His ex-GF thinks I look too much like him...... plus, my GS and his mom live in Winnipeg........
arrrrrrgh
Flashback to April 2nd, 2011 – almost 2 years ago.
I fell on my left knee on ice/snow. Dr. had it x-rayed, said it was a sprain, and I was on crutches for a month.
My chiropractor said I had very little cartilage in that knee.
Flash forward– I’ve quit that Dr, and started with a new one as of Nov 2012.
Today my Dr felt the area and found a (Major!!) pain spot (almost hit the ceiling when he pressed it!)
He’s ordered an MRI on a semi-urgent and thinks I’ve torn something. I’ll get an app’t within a month, and he’ll see me a week afterwards when he should have the results.
Oh, and he thinks that I may be doing more damage to it by all the walking I’m doing (which I was doing because of the osteopenia/bone loss he diagnosed me with in December – can’t win for losing, eh??!).
So, for awhile I’ll be curbing my walking, and wait to see the results of the future MRI.
oh no Susan ! ouch . I m glad your new dr is taking better care of you then your old one. Sending you healing energy.
not much here
still bummed i had to cancel on cookie. :( i need to spend the morning getting a wiper on y car. Hope my neighbor can do it for me.
well i m off to bed.
good night sweet sistah's
Susan, sure hope you have not torn anything in your knee.
Speaking of knee's, Marion how is your knee doing?
Thank you, sistahs!
LK - I'm sure my Dr's right...... it's definitely soft tissue... but the MRI will tell

Good cold Morning Ladies,
We had a small storm yesterday, and then it froze last night....good thing pansy and marigolds are hardy ^_^....My mom was leaving bowling alley yesterday about 12:45 and it was snowing big time, a lot of people did not make it to bowling last night because they got snowed in. it dropped 4 inches in less than 15 minutes...........................
Working inside again to brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr outside and it's windy...sun is shinning though ^_^
Hiya.. waving here...still coughing and sneezing away.. but not as bad as Kel.
Kel is just going downhill and too stubborn to heed my words on drinking only warm drinks.
I'm afraid, he might be having bronchitis.
He has paid sick days, and won't take it. Told him that his insurance is current and he'd leave me wealthy!
Cindy, I need to get some pansies this year. Got a wheelbarrow to put them in. The snow and freeze caught you and your mum by surprise?
One year, visiting in Indiana there was 6 inches of snow on the ground, yet my BFF insisted we all go bowling. Crazy bunch, I know.. crazier still when I saw how packed the bowling center was. Guess it's normal for them.
Sue, I love plum sauce. Will only use oyster sauce for stir fryings. Try using plum sauce in clear noodle soup, add cilantro, Thai basil and peppers.
LOL Jaye - he'd leave you wealthy, eh? LOL
Glad your cold seems to be getting better, but wish Kel would listen to your advice. stubborn man!
Hope you have loads of Kleenex in the house! Take care dear sistah!
Susan, I have Kleenex Stations all over the house. I should tie up boxes on the kitties' backs for convenience! Lolol!
Like BJ would say, me been doing the horizontal watching not one taped show, but 2 dozens! That fast forward button skips all commercials and the slow parts, especially romance. Who needs that at my age!!
Mushroom veloute soup for the evening. Protein is fish crackers. Sound weird eh, but it's not making me cough too much. I tend to choke on my food lately.. must be due to a sore throat.
Good Morning
Yes some men are stubborn and won't listen to thier wives, but when mommy dearest comes around and suggests the same thing they hop to it...............So I don't baby him anymore!!!! And when he moans and groans cuz he hurts, or cuz he's cold I ignore him then too. He then accuses me of not caring. I told him him when you start listening to me then I will show you that I care ^_^.... I have just as much aches and pains as he does but I don't lay around moaning and groaning I do something about it. And when I catch a cold (which is hardly ever) I take care of myself, and don't lay around whinning about it, lol.
My pansy and marigolds are ok, but I moved them up on the porch yesterday, we had another freeze last night got down to 29, brrrrrrrrrrrrr it's 5:30 now and only 36
Speaking of BJ, anyone hear from her lately?
Marion, if your able to get to a computer, please check in, we worry about you when you don't post.
Cindy, smart move to move the plants out of the frost. Sure hope it warms up for you soon!
It is 55 right now, and supposed to be 75 today!
Cindy, that's true. Whatever OTC meds I suggest, he'd balk.. but a few hours later would tell me that his mother had told him to get so and so. Now, I don't suggest anymore.. I just tell him "Google it!" or ask the pharmacist.
Need prayers for my ex' sister, ladies. My ex' great nephew just called me and delivered some bad news.
Oline Le Blanc, my ex' oldest sister, is 81 and having dementia. She won't eat on her own, and somehow the feeding tube isn't working for her.
Please ask the Lord, to do what's best for her.
I was supposed to return to Louisiana for Thanksgiving this year. But this isn't the right time for me.
Thanks sistahs.
Sorry to hear that Jaye, sending prayers for HIM to do HIS will!
Thank you so much LK.
I guess you know that my ex' family still considers me a member. They had never divorced me!
Last time she and I talked was a month ago. I noticed that her speech has slurred some, and she was telling me how much she missed her late husband. He died on Christmas day 2 years ago.
So sad to loose someone on a Holiday like that! Is she in a nursing home, or at home with someone caring for her?
She's in a hospital LK on a 24 hr. watch.
Praying that God keeps her pain free.
Me too LK.
sending her healing energy
Jaye to funny on the kleenex cats LOL crack me up
got a stubborn husband also. i just gave up. He is a big boy , His mother would always worry and ask " oh aren't you worried " .... i finaly said " nope , he is a grown man and if he can't take care of himself , its not my problem " ... .shut her up ! i hated to be so rude to her but honestly ! I don't mother my husband . that is not what a wife is for. He wants a mother he can move back home.
cold today
good work out today at the gym with my PT.
well off to pick up kids to get austin to his tutor. lets hope this works out. this girls scheduale keeps changing ? and its getting a bit annoying.
off and running
Jaye can you make yourself a broth ? i enjoy my hot broth . I made some yesterday. MMMMM. Good pork broth then smmerd veggies in it .
added some oyster sauce and ginger slices ... simple stuff but so yummy in our tummies.
I made a nice mushroom cream soup yesterday with different kinds of mushrooms, Sue.
When you mentioned plum sauce, I was thinking of making that Vietnames Pho', but I don't have any pork bones to make stock. Instead it's chicken curry for today, over brown rice.
Your idea of a vege broth sounds good.
Think I'll do that tomorrow and still able to indulge in a tbsp. of plum sauce in myb bowl.
My bff once made a vege broth and couldn't understand why no one was keen in having seconds.. you know us Asians love soups.
Got to point it to her that she had unconventionally added bell peppers!! Too much of that turned the soup bitter!! I told her, if I want a bitter soup, I'll use bitter melons!!
Kel won't do soups, so, he packed some unhealthy cheese pizzas yesterday. Fortunately he does like curries.
Jaye - prayers are being said for your sister-in-law, Oline....... may God keep her and protect her.
Thank you so much, Susan.
Oline (pronounced Oleen) has been given opiates to ease her restlessness.
Instead of rushing over to see her, I sent money to my great nephew to help with his travel costs, and asked him to 'represent' me. Being there physically isn't important anyway, as she doesn't recognise anyone.
When we talk on the phone.. she'd greet me with "Hey cow!" And I'd retort "Wide ass"!!!
Lol not you Jaye!!!!!
