(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, time for a check up, and get his meds changed.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Get it done Sis. If not, he'd harm himself soon.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

right back at ya sis

poor little guy. I remember Jessica like that too but no one knew what the heck was going on. Everyone just blamed me and said she was spoiled. If we had known then what we knew today , .... i wonder ?
Two of you are in my prayers . hope the dr can get things back to a happy medium for him where he can be more calm.
what a cute story about the two you gals and Peter Pan. Such wonderful thoughts and sprts .
boy soar today wow . but worth it. feeel good today
but tred too

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

SUE, MY MIDDLE DAUGHTER WAS LIKE THAT TO, AND LIKE YOU THEY BLAMED ME

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thunder, I could just see you and your sisters doing the {Peter Pan" thing. Love the story!!!

Cindy, I purchased a light gage to use here as it is so mixed. It is one of the best things I have ever done to help with planting. I will see if I can find the link......shucks to to Garden Gate magazine website. A little expensive but compared to the cost of plans....nothing!!

Kathy, sending all my best to you and your grandson. It is so sad that illnesses like this were so taboo years ago. Well so not long ago as a matter of fact. My DDIL still thinks it is all in your mind! Well I have news for her...it is but it still needs professional help. Go for it!!

Jaye, you would love sharing a grandparents day...the class is controlled and they all act like you are their own grandparent. I always leave with a couple of new grandchildren. One I have had since pre kindergarten. Of course, there are times that Catie-Beth get jealous but we explain to her I can love all of the, "-)

Been a busy week, Kim volunteered some cakes for a charity auction tomorrow and of course, guess who the baker is. Funny, she volunteers, I do the work. Oh well, keeps me of the streets.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Kathy, keep looking until you find the right Dr. and the right mix of meds......many hugs to you. one of my boys is the same.....had a few very rough years, 2nd grade was the last he spent in public school..
very long story I won't go into it all..... He was home schooled by a wonderful friend, the one on one was very good for him. then a few years in a small private school, then back to public school...it was tough...but we all got through it...He is now med free for about 6 years....and doing very well.

good day ladies
oh my body is really acheing today ung.
good thing its a weekend so i can relax
good news on your boy thunder. that is a great news to hear he is doing well.
got to run and get s tamps

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, yesterday I told Kel what I posted.. he gave me the sweetest Valentine gift.
He said I am perfect with kids, as where can you find an aunt who threw all niceties away just to fart so a niece will cease her crying!!!

Thunder, here, parents have that choice of homeschooling their kids.
Not in Singapore, either public or private schools, teacher ratio is 1:40 and no aides at all.
Your son is so lucky to have good support.

Hey Sue! Your "i" is working!!

No voice today, thank God I can use my fingers instead.
Had to disappoint my church sistah, called her the last minute to cancel the outing as much as I wanted it.
Bulb light went on, thinking I might give her my cold.
Good thing I did, I went downhill fast!!
Lots of tea and crystallized ginger to open up the congestion.
Staying indoors for sure and think I'll organize the sewing room!!

hope you feel better Jaye
no the " I " is stll working so so. i have to really press hard on it to get it to work and even then may not work at all ?
gym day agan today. whew i m tred .
gonna just go hang by the tv

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sue, I think I'll get over this much faster than Kel.
Found the secret, and that is lots of hot liquids. Kel won't drink anything hot, nor warm. Even with hot soups, he makes sure he downs it with a glass of cold drinks.
It took him days to break that congestion, and he did take meds for it.
Me, just 2 days, but then, I'm not as overworked nor overstressed as him.

Didn't go into the sewing room. Had a serious issue to take care of.
My church sister had given me about 6 dozens ears of corn last summer. I had frozen them shucks and all cutting off only the tops.
Today, I baked the whole lot of them for 2 hrs. Cleaned and cut off the kernels. Then cooked them again in a vegetable stock.
Think I'll have enough corn for the rest of the year!!
Had to do this before the corn's flavor is lost!

Hope my sistahs did more exciting stuffs than me.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

thanks thunder, you made me feel better.
we had the closing on the house today, it is officially ours.
got a new computer today, it is an all-in-one. I think I just might like this one.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Congrats again Kathy!!!

Here's a good laugh, and I could totally see my late hubby doing a lot of those, lol

RETIRED HUSBAND

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.

Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.

Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target:

Dear Mrs. Harris,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.

We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:

1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'.

This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6 In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

15. Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?

And last, but not least:

16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lots of planning for a permanent garden, Sis Kathy! Congrats. I know you are both thrilled.

Thanks Cindy. That's so funny.. love the one when he asked for antidepressants!! Don't know Target sells firearms tho.

Once my BIL decided to try out a pair of shorts right in the middle of an aisle in Target.
I stopped him and he said.. "But we do this in France all the time"!

Good Morning Ladies,

Been busy the last couple of days. Thursday I cleaned Sheri's house. She has a lot of house to clean, OMG!!! And I think she thinks I'm some bionic wonder maid, jeez. She wanted me to clean the whole house, pluse deep clean her kitchen in 4 hours, lol not gonna happen. I spent 6 hours and still did not get the whole kitchen deep cleaned. It has been 5 years since I left Merry Maids and boy my body felt it :(........By the time I got home it was all I could do to get out of the car. I walked in the house said Hi to Doug and the dogs, headed str8, for the bathroom ran a hot tub of water, took a muscle relaxer and a pain pill and soaked for a very long time.....................When I got out Doughad dinner ready ^_^...........after dinner I headed to the bedroom to get horizonal and watch some TV, lol I was out by 9 o'clock.
Yesterday we went shopping, came home changed into my gardening clothes and started working in front small yard. I'm going to take pictures every to show progress and before and after looks. There is one little corner of the yard that will get early morning sun and then some late afternoon sun so I'm thinking my Lilies (the ones I had at my mom's) will do ok there.......
Our weather is in the low 70's for a few days, then rain Tuesday so I'm trying to get as much planted as possible by Monday.......

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Wow I almost forgot about my swap...................

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1298478/

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

This is strange, I posted about 700 words and DG went *poof*

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, I joined and anything is fine for me. This year, I don't think Kel would be building me one, so I'd be finding one in stores.
It's good that Doug tries to make you happy, even by the simple act of making you dinner.
Rest to clean Sheri's house another day.

Sue, is your couch big enough for 3? You know your kids would want to join you!

Making corn and chicken soup for the day.
Joy! JOY! Joy!
Just discovered that we're expecting snow today. What can I say but thank the Lord that it's gonna be a dusting not Sue's, Barb's, Betty's, Susan's or Synda's deep snow.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Ok Jaye...
I was talking with my cousin this morning, she lives in Kansas she got snow last night................

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Snowed heavy last night. Clear day today, but still some snow on the ground.
Still sick.. here...
Will be better by Tuesday I hope.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Ok Jaye, now you need to quit getting sick!!!

I finished one little corner of my front yard. Planted Spider Lily, Stargazer Lily, Pink Coneflower, Mixed (white and Lavender) Blazing Star, then a bunch of lilies I brougjt down from my mom's, I'm going to sprinkle some seeds, so that when that part of the yard is in bloom it will be a mixture of flowers. This is the only part of front yard that gets lots of sun, it gets early morning and late afternoon

I can not believe my grandson Kain, is going to be 18 tomorrow.

Sue - love those fairies! (I believe in fairies too!!)
It's going to be a magical garden when it warms up!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello ladies, I am back home! had a great visit with the Grand kids, but yesterday Dylan got really irritable, I thought he was just teething, but when Heather and Andy got home tonight, she took his temp and it was 101.2. She gave him some Tylenol, and put him to bed. he did not want to eat today or take a bottle, he was just so cranky. They have an appointment in the morning for him to see the pediatrician.
Jaye and Kathy, sure hope your both feeling better.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's Tuesday!!
This is the day, I refused to continue to be sick.

Cindy, that corner will be the most beautiful in the neighbourhood.
Happy Birthday Kain!

Susan, I don't know you have a 16 year old grandson. How many grandkids do you have?

Good talking to you sis Kathy. Don't I sound sultry with my hoarse voice? Lol!! Please, please..don't forget to change your address in the addy exchange.
Soon it will be warm, and your grandkids can play outside and your migraines will be reduced.

Goodness Sue.. you have emptied a fairy store!! It will be a very magical garden. All you need is a rainbow over it.

Welcome back LK. I do hope it's nothing serious. Let us know when you heard something will you?

Kel's off and of course, disrupts my sleep again with his snoring. He'll be up soon, and I'll take the next shift on the bed!!
Don't know what my plans will be for tomorrow afternoon, but I hope my legs will regain their strength so I can go out there and clean up the asiatic lily beds.

cold out today snow and strong winds brrrrr.
PT canceled gym today :( i won't go by myself , to boring .
need to go to grocery , wish i had done it yesterday but got lazy... teaches me don't it. HA.
Sounds to me like an ear infection for Dylan. poor little guy.

2013 "EASTER PARADE
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1298190/

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thunder, my want to dos are now .. don't feel like it!!!

It's Kel's 12th day, and my 4th. I'll be over this faster than him and he had his shot. Doctor said it will prevent him from getting into that dreaded pneumonia stage.
His resistance is indeed much lower than mine. You all know why right? But not him.. said stress won't affect his autoimmune system.

Must go get groceries, like Sue here, if not all of us will starve, including the four legged babies!

See you all later.
