Todd and I never do anything for valentines. We may go out for dinner, we just think it is highly overrated holiday!
I will be out of town, going to San Antonio to babysit Dylan and Maryanne for the long week end! I get to have lots of Grandma time with the kids! I don't know if they have internet, so don't worry if I don't post till Tuesday when I get back. I am leaving Thursday afternoon!

Yes, Valentine's day is just another Thursday for us.
Where I used to work, the plant will have hundreds of flowers delivered (3,000 workers) that the local florists had to start their floral orders a week early!! So much so that when the arrangements were delivered, the flowers would be dead the next day!! Impossible too to order something on Valentine's Day itself. Valentine's and Mother's Days made these florists very wealthy!

Gonna try again today to work in craft room.....was trying to hook up my tv and nothing.................had to call AT&T........said would be $149 to have techie come out.........Doug blew a fuse!!!! We have had nothing but problems with them from day one.........very close to cancelling......

Might try to work outside, it's been so windy that it goes right thru me, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............about got frost bite on my ears yesterday walking the dogs.....................

Kel was finally over his cold until he had to sit at the doctor's office with his dad.
The air there must be bad as he came home coughing away and congested again. Begged him to take a day off, but he insisted on retransmitting his cold to those he originally get from!
I'm prepared.. I normally would get it from him, but I 'doctor' myself with lots of HOT tea (which Kel won't touch), ginger and of course extra vitamins.

My church sister will be taking me out on Thursday!! Yayyy. It's Kel's day off, but he's supposed to bring his dad to the doctor again.
God knows I need a girls day out!

Got my craft all put together yay!!!!! Now I can really concentrate on the outside. I have a Brug in a pot, it never got to bloom but did have buds. Well it kind got real cold (didn't freeze) and all the leaves fell off. Well I never did anthing with it because I knew we would be moving..................it has new growth all over it!!!!! So maybe it will get to bloom earlier this year.

First, congrats on the new home Kathy and ouch with the grandson. Is he on meds? ADHD is bad enough but bi-polar at the same time. Sending huge hugs and glad you have Annie to love you. We do too.

Not much planned her for Valentines day. Naturally will be taking special valentines to the girls.......they gave up candy for Lent so I have made coupons for after Lent for some candy and trips to a new yogurt bar that is really good. A couple of movie coupons have been thrown in with their usual pillowcases. Kim and I will just "smile" at each other. :-) Besides Kim is fighting a sinus infection so I am keeping my distance.

Cindy, you'd be having something to do when the weather discourage you to either ride or do some gardening!

I guess I did forget.....on Friday, I get to go to school with Catie-Beth. Grandparents day but as she says: "Grandma Day". Funny kid!!

No hoop-la here for Valentine's Day, but get to take the plastic cone off Mandy, she will love that. Ten days with it on is driving us both a little crazy. Next week stitches come out then hoping she will slow down a little. She is 6 months old now and still full of piss and vinegar.

Weather is nice again, trying to get weeds out of my raised bed and think about preparing it for spring. Mandy is a problem there, she thinks that is the place to dig holes. I honestly don't think she understands English. LOL How many times do I have to tell her NO!!

Marion, Grandparents day is not till Sept. Is there a special day for Grandparents there?
Pegi, you need to get something to smack her with, not hard, but enough to let her know that when she see's what you have in your hand, she will know not to dig there. Although my Mom used to have a miniature pincher, that loved to dig, no matter how many times she was smacked. Some never seem to learn!

I have my first ever angel trumpet seed pod! Do I peel off the outer layers? How long do I leave it on the plant? It came form the real pretty pink blooms.

Sistah, let the pod inside dry. The outer layer will drop off, eventually.

LK, it is Grandparents day at their school. The school has one day each year that they recognize grandparents. We visit in the classroom and they usually have treats and special art projects the students have done. Just a fun 3 hours with the children.

I'm kind of bummed..........been watching the sun come up and go down, and checking at different times of the day to see where I have the most etc. you get my drift right??? My front yard, is mostly shade with a little smigen of late afternoon sun. But I'm wondering just how much late afternoon sun it will get come summer. So my question is..................what plants will be best? I have mostly full sun plants. The front of my house faces north.........I think I will be ok with lilies along the fence, they will get about 3 or 4 hours of late sun...........

Peter Pan was just released, and my youngest bought it for me!!! It was my absolute favorite as a kid!! I think I have seen most versions that have ever come out, I was surprised he remembered I liked it !!! at one point in time there were three of us sisters in the same room, and we would push the big bed into the middle of the room, and jump off of the top bunk...flapping our arms...saying "think happy thoughts" and "I'm flying" !! and dive into the big beg!!!

I called one of my sisters, and said to her " are you ready to think happy thoughts?? and go for a fly tonight?? " she answered " second star to the right, and straight on through till morning!! " she then said I will meet you there!!! and we laughed and laughed....

3 hours with so more than 2 kids will wore me out Marion!
Maybe that's why the Lord spared me of motherhood..
