Oh Betty I was so hoping you were going to be on the mend today. You are very lucky to have such a thoughtful DGS. I am glad you spoke to Noah about his indiscretion and didn't belabour the whole situation. Often as adults we tend to get caught up in whatever happened and end up over lecturing all because we care so much. You must have said something right if he wants to come back tonight!!

Finally have the new oil tank in .... what a long drawn out process that was!! The oil truck couldn't get in today because of the ice so they filled drums with oil and brought the drums in the bed of the snow plow pick up. So not only did I get the bill for the new oil tank I got another bill for $800.00 worth of oil. Nice to have it all taken care of finally. This is the company where the young fellow was hurt so badly Dec 26 in a snowmobile accident. He has been moved to a Rehab Hospital and is on the floor for brain injuries and paralysis. He is doing very well - he wants to go home and sleep in his own house. They are renovating parts of the house so he will be able to move around on his own once he does come home. His daughters are estatic. They are under 10 so are really missing their daddy.

Judy, I am so excited for Jake, Steve and yourself!!! If he wins I can picture you out there lifting Jake up off the ground with your excitement. Sending positive thoughts for Jake. Safe travels for all.

I need to feed myself. Hmmm what to have??? Better check out the freezer. Hope to BBL

Thanks Dianne, yep dropped in to Foodland on my way home, bought his favorite cereal, fruits of all kind, chocolate for tomorrow, treats for tonight and pork chops for summer.... Yowzers, treats aren't cheap. Lol. O sooner did he get here I said I'd cook up a storm., got the "sorry grandma, went next door to pizza palace and had supper so you wouldn't have to cook" hmmmm more meat for the freezer.

Asked about his day, said he did learn that sewing isn't easy, in family studies they were learning to sew a valentine heart with an owl on it...guess the class is like home economics.

Dianne, that is a frightful amount of money for oil, would that last you a winter?

So glad the young man is improving..would be a horrific loss for those kids.is there any permanent brain damage?? Will he entually get back to work.

This week has been hectic... just catching up from the last 2... Hubs and I will drive to Crestview FL Sat. and Back Sun. picking up the Model A engine... so no time to rest over the weekend...12 hours round trip. Can tell hubs is excited...

Spring Swap planning is beginning. I should not plan to go with so much going on but I want to. Don't even have a place to put any new plants LOL....
Swap is near Florala Alabama.... if anyone can make it from here....

Happy Valentines day everyone!

It's a good morning, woke up to an email from Darlene, she found a perfect place yesterday, it's situated in front of a lake, she had gone for a walk, had her camera, there was a large snapping turtle, she sat and watched him ,mtook photo's and saw the place behind her..it was for sale! Said its lovely, not a think to do to it, fairly new, nice area for gardens, she just felt so at home and a feeling that Mike led her there...soooo I imagine by weeks end it will be hers.

She had also been speaking to her mom and feels her mom is getting stronger..

Her cousin Allen is visiting for a week march 4th, another thing for her to be excited about.

Well, best I get a move on and wake Noah up..gab later

So happy to hear such a great report for Darlene. She has had so much that it is truly wonderful to hear good news....

Home, snowing like crazy. Greg called to see if i wanted to go over for supper..had a late lunch so passed.

Was chilled, no sooner in a hot bath that the telephone rang, Jeff left a message. Bed looked might comfy, decided that if I were go to Buffalo Saturday I'd pack up all I need for posting tomorrow..got comfy in bed, just dozed off and Dianne called, wanted to know I'd I could leave at 3pm from work and that way we could leave early afternoon to come home..

I booked the hotel, now I'm trying to decide if I've enough energy to get up and get a few things done! Hmmm

Have our hotel booked, could cancel it before 6 without a penalty..

Well I'm thrilled it got there..about gave up!!

Just filling the tub with hot water..just walked in..brrr ran into a few snow areas, wasn't looking good but we drove out of them and made it home in record time..

I'm finally getting the back on one of the 2 lap quilts I made for a friend & his wife! Geeze it's taking a lot to "get on the ball" about this - haven't felt like quilting for a long time, and they've been positively STARING at me saying "please get me DONE!"
Now that we're having nice weather, I'm going to get them done?!?!?! It was 13 celcius yesterday, and so far it's 11 celcius (above!) Nice weather!
