Update from Mary.


No better infact worse. It is only because of the machines and drugs that she is still here. Sunday or Monday morning we plan to have the hospital take her off life surport. She had always said she did not want to be kept this way.

prayers for her and family still going out from here....so sad.

LK, if there's a way you could reach Marti, can you please tell her to whisper in Dorothy's ears that all her sistahs here and Cubits love her very much and that we'll catch up on our daily chats when we see her in Heaven.

Goodbye is never easy.. but God has assured us everlasting life. I take solace in this.

God is with all of us..........

It has been a very strange day today. We had to go out of town this morning, and the 7 hour excursion was pleasant... Lola was behaving.. Kel was agreeable.. the purchases were good.. even Checker's burgers were good.
Here comes the the strange part.
All the time, I had to suppress the urge to find fault with everything.
You know.. when you have that nagging feeling something is not right but you can't pinpoint what?

Ha! Don't ever ignore that nagging feeling sistahs. When you got that.. pray! Just pray!!
I did.. each time I felt a knot in my stomach. Told the Lord to take that restless devil out, and if anything bad is supposed to happen, make it a lesser one.

Just got a call this evening from my ex's nephew that my ex is in the hospital. He got into a bad wreck this afternoon. His car is totalled, so far, according to Jude, ex had bruises from the airbag.
But the hospital is not releasing him yet. Will hold him for more observations.

See.. proof right there... God listens to prayers. If I had not prayed during the trip.. it could have been worse for Harris.

Judy . no greenhouse this year. I will only do my own gardens and veggie garden.
Jaye yes them airbags pack a punch . so do seat belts. i remember in some of the crashes i have been in i had bruises . sure hope he starts to feel better soon.

Almost didn't come onto either site today........ because I was afraid to hear the news about Dorothy. Sad, but also glad she's out of pain.....
Her's was a personality I will not soon forget..... she cared about our health and us, so much......

I asked Mary earlier if there was going to be any type of service, and this was her response.

She had requested no funeral service. Once we get things settled we and her friends here are planning a Memorial Service in the manner of a potluck get together. We can talk about our memories of her and enjoy each others company.
Right now I've got several of her friends who have called wanting to know where to send flowers. It may seem cold, but Dorothy did not want a service or flowers, so I've told people that if they want to do something, I need help paying for the cremation. It's going to cost $795.00 that I don't have, nor does her daughters so the funeral home is going to set us up on payment plan. I told her friends that I will give them the funeral home address and if they want they can send a donation there for the cremation.

Ha!! I didn't go through the scrap book aisles!! Lol!! No wonder!!
Think I'll just get one online.. or maybe try creasing with a butter knife.

It hurts that Dorothy left us too soon. But we should be grateful that Lord lets us know this remarkable sistah.
Her short stay with us is God design. I truly believe it now, especially after I got a nice email from someone that sees a nice change in Dorothy.

LK, I was suggesting in the other building maybe we could start a collection? But then, you had posted Marti's address, so, if anyone wish to help, direct mailing will be good too.

Just be careful that your butter knife has a smooth edge - no serrations. It should work just as well Jaye.

It was so nice to talk with you ^_^ and to hear your laughter was pure HEAVEN!!! Like I told Jaye last night, Doug and I are still talking of buying a trailer and traveling. The winters here are just getting to hard for him. I wear tank tops and shorts in the house because we keep the house so warm. Plus I deal with hot flashes, ugh. So I am hoping that my first trip in our new trailer (when we get it, lol) will be to Sue's for Sistah reunion 2014!!!! I'm also hoping to spend a few days with Synda and Rick after the reunion so we can go riding ^_^

Going to doctor today to get splint off and start PT, then meet my gf Bertha for breakfast and to get our nails done. Then to Auburn to pick Taylor up from school and to give her the Monster High doll that came with EVERYTHING in it!!! YAY!

OK gotta hit the shower, you Ladies have a wonderful day!!!

When Doug was in the Army he was stationed in Germany. He was working around radiation and was zapped causing his bones to not hold heat. It could be 100 degrees outside and his knees will be ice cold.

Sue, are you still planning a trip to sunny California? If so I would so love to meet up with you somewhere.

yes i would like to try and make it in march . Money is tight . have to find a person to feed and care for the animals ect..
i really want to make a good 5 -7 day trip.

Sistahs, an old friend of mine from La. needs prayers.
Her husband is inflicted with MSRA. I don't know what it is, but from what she messaged me on FB it's scary.
I was glad that she could get hold of me last night. We talked till the morning hours, really glad that the Lord sat me up!
This is what she wrote..

"If you know about MRSA, he got in his blood streams, attached itself to his mitrovalue and formed a blister. Mitrovalue was removed and replaced with a pig value and next day a blood clot in upper right lung, then pneumia set in then doctor left a port in his leg for 8 days and cause an infection. They found vegatation in the artiel value in his heart and spleen was dead because of the mrsa and was removed and spleen was inforked when it was opened up. After culture were neg, he was sent to a rehab, 2 week, walked 8 feet. Sent to pelican point wasn't good there, sent to Detrieve hosp in a scike ward for his nerve med because meds were giving him trouble. he Got even more depressed. Transferred him to kindred hosp. stayed 3 or 4 days there and phneumia again. and found MRSA in mucus of lungs and another bug, simamous. 3 or 4 days at lourdes. with meds and anea he was medicated to much and all most died rush him in ICU with a breathing tube and now he is back at kindred. Somewhat better but still can't walk or pull up on self. Sometime you can't understand him when he talk. So I am bringing him home because there are no nursing home that will take care of him. His white blood count is too high."

We continued on the phone, and I told her that I'll ask my wonderful sistahs to pray for her and her husband of 41 years.
Margaret herself is suffering from hyperthryroid.. with complications.

LOL funny you should say that Jaye....When Doug and I first meet he was very thin could see his ribs, now he has a little pot belly and is NOT happy!!! he went from a 30" waist to 34". He wears thermals and sweats all the time through the winter.

Well fiddle sticks, I have to wear the splint another two weeks, and start PT Monday.

Had a good day yesterday after doc appt. I met up with my gf Bertha for breakfast, then she took me to her nail gal and I got the most wonderful manicure, OMG!!! First she put warm lotion on my arms and hands and massaged them. She was real gentlle with my left hand and it felt soooooooooooo good. Then she did my nails. She was so gentle the whole time. I am going back for a pedicure and maybe get gels nails put on so I can have some of her art work done on my nails. So many neat designs hard to choose. Then we went to Hobby Lobby, gawd I love that store. One of the gals that I have dinner with every month (Jenny the one who rode my bike) she likes Mustangs, her birthday is the 24th, I found these two metal pieces of art for her. Her nick name is shelbygirl, lol.

Today must do laundry, tomorrow I am going for a spiral perm, I don't like how I look with straight hair, and I get tired of putting it up on hot rollers. Besides I hate burning my fingers, lol. Then we have a HUGE biker party on Saturday over 175 people attending so far. This will be our first time attending and I know it's going to be a blast!!! Will post pics................

Jaye, please tell her we are sending lots of prayers for Margaret and her hubby! MRSA, as I understand is a flesh eating disease, and if it gets to the internal organs, it can do all you say it is doing to him! Not an easy thing to clear up!

Hey Cindy. Enjoy that manicure, you will like the gel nail polish, it last a long time. Not even finger nail polish remover will take it off, you have to file it off.
I sure hope Doug filed for medical disability from the Army?

Well CRUD!!!!! We have to MOVE!!!! Doug's mom got a letter from Medical saying they want $80,000 IMMEDIATELY or they will board up the house. We are in the process of hopefully getting a cute BIGGER house just 3 houses down the street. Doug is at Realtor office right now with our app to rent. it's a two bedroom, 2 bath, dinning room, garage and bigger yard for the dogs.

PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for us.....................Doug's mom said we have like 10 days to get out!!!!!
