Jaye, I thought this was for you, as he has the PC all the time??? LOL!
@SWEET INTERRUPTIONS@# 252
No honey!! I want my pc back!!!
Sue, not sure but these phones are in CA only...paid for by the state. Other states probably have them also. Now just waiting to hear back from hearing aid place wanting to know why I have to pay $340 when my booklet says $150....waiting and waiting.I hate waiting I need this now, lol
Maybe the $150.00 deductible is per ear/hearing aid?
It is, but they want $340 per ear and they have not gotten back to me either and it said one business day grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Update on my Dad...
The angiogram is done, he has extensive blockage in right leg from groin to just below the knee. He will need bypass surgery to run a synthetic tube to reroute blood flow and will most likely amputate the toe at the same time. But first he needs a stress test and a green light from cardiology. His heart is in and out of a-fib.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
We will know more next week sometime!
I'll be keeping him in my prayers LK along with all of your family. God bless......
LK...burying (not burning ;o) a dime is for "financial" luck!!
Hope he gets that green light LK. You must be wishing you're with him now?
Along with Barb, we will keep you and your dad in our prayers.
May you get news about your hearing aid, today, Cindy!
Cookie, the Chinese believe that on Chinese New Year day, one musn't sweep the house floors, as that will remove good luck. Plus, all debts to be paid off before the day.
Don't think the clearing of debts is practical, but us kids were happy to obey the first rule! Lol!
Morning sistahs. It's a clear warm morning with the sun out in full glory! It feels like spring!
I've been looking at seed catalogs, inspired by our Sue here.. then reality hits. I'm NOT good at germinating them!!!
But am thinking of growing more veges in spring, other than eggplants and tomatoes. Maybe get a couple of berry bushes too, like raspberry!
Nope, no more flowering plants .. want a sustainable garden in 2013!
Marion.. surface please...
That's a good reason for me to try it, Sue. Pots are okay!
Sue, is this it??
http://www.bountifulgardens.org/prodinfo.asp?number=VGR-3830&gclid=CNePmv7_zrQCFQ3nnAodlm4ABA
Do you eat the stems too? They look like rhubarb!
My Sister just called to tell me they will do a chemical stress test next Tuesday, and regardless of the outcome they have to try to get circulation to that leg, and foot, or the infection he has will only continue to get worse, and create more problems! So they are going to do surgery next Friday, and try to get a new artery in that leg. If he makes it through surgery, 30% chance he might, then the new artery might make the foot heal up, but there is a small chance that he may still have to have the foot removed. If they don't do surgery, then they would have to remove the leg at the groin as there is no circulation. Not a good outcome either way!
So I am sitting here really worried, and really wish I had a cigarette! Don't worry, I don't have any, and won't run out to get a pack! Just really stressed right now!
Oh ((((((LK)))))) so sorry. No smoking won't help, besides yuckie!!!!! I know you were just back there to see him, but maybe you would feel better if you were there again.
Tonight is our girls dinner get together, then I'm spending the rest of the weekend with Sheri. I need some time away from Doug. Things have not been good between us for over a month now and he will not talk it over with me so poop on him!!!
Have a good weekend Ladies
Lk i m sorry to hear of this news. Just seems there is not win win either way. Sending healing energy to you and your family. You will be n my thoughts and i will be wishing a good recovery for him. I wish i was there to help and give you lots of hugs. So i wll just have to send them via internet. ((((()))))
yes jaye that is it. We eat the whole thing . berries are bland but are pretty. just snip if off and eat.
Cindy, you go and have a good night with the girls! You and Doug have had a rocky relationship since the beginning, hope you can work it out.
I knew Dad was sick when I was home last time, I said my good-byes to him them. I am just going to let my Sister handle this, and what ever happens was meant to be? My Brother feels the same way, why put him on the surgery table, knowing it may take his life, but he is in a lot of pain, and pain meds aren't helping any! So Kathy feels she needs to try and do something. I don't know if there is a correct way to handle this, so she is making those decisions!
Yes, do have fun Cindy!! Count your drinks.. don't want you to be shown on Youtube doing X rated stuffs!! Lol!!!
LK, just remember we don't want you to worry by yourself. God is always with you and us sistahs will do our best to comfort you with prayers and positive thoughts.
Cindy would never do that? LOL!
Thanks Jaye!
Don't know what I would do with out my Sisters here!
(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) to you all!
Hey, why wait till 2014?
We can always play "Pin the Pirate" at Marion's. Just need a stud.. I mean volunteer :D Wonder if we could rent a Chippendale?
Sistah Sue... do you think Jaye's job were to hand out Patron only?? I hope not!!! I may be old but ain't dead!!
Love you LK!!
Many Hugs to you and Dad, Linda K. ♥♥♥
that spinach sounds wonderful, wonder if I could get it to grow in pots??? I am not good at seeds either :(
have a good time with the girls Cindy. stay safe.
Morning sistahs.
MIL is hell bent on messing up early 2013 for us. I've never, never wish early death upon anyone, but Lord knows that I'm truly human, and this evil thought has lurked.
Not for my sake, but for Kel's sake.
She will be going through hip surgery and insist that Kel takes 4 weeks off to stay at their house. Kel suggested a nursing home for his dad, she refused. Older favored son wouldn't do anything.. him that makes half a million a year that could afford to hire someone while she's recuperating.
MIL is a drama queen.. doctor told her that within a few days she'd be moving around.. but not her.. she said that she's of the 'sickly' breed and it would take her at least a month!
Yah.. sick in the head for sure!
Kel's salary will be affected of course if he enabled her again.
Just got to vent sistahs. Please pray that the Lord takes care of this situation or give Kel the courage to stand up to her finally. Yet, she calls him the hopeless son. Murdock wouldn't dare say anything to her too.
Can't understand a woman who is NEVER happy.
2 DILs, and we both aren't talking to her!
This too shall pass I know..
On the other hand, I shall strive to crack that shell of darkness to shed some light!
Let us be entertained today!

Jaye, if I were you, I would put my foot down, and tell him to choose, either your Mother or your wife!
LOL! Love the cat video!
Jaye....You gotta do what you gotta do....butttttt if it were me I'd be saying " NO F@#* ing way" and I do not use those words often !!!!
sending you lots of hugs sistah ♥♥♥
me either Jaye. When you marry you cleave to your wife/husband. That's it!!! And when you grow you put aside childish behavior including being treated like one!!!! She has one he-- of a nerve!!!
siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh Jaye - she keeps putting you two through this, and you have the patience of a saint.... AND when you run up against this time and time again - well, I'm not surprised she puts you to the breaking point. However, with our support, I hope you never reach that breaking point. We're Here for you, sistah!!
Dropping in to say I'm back in the land of snow..actually not cold and not a lot of snow thank goodness.
Jaye, sometimes you just have to bite your tongue..know it's hard but sometimes saying nothing gets your further! Not so sure I'd say me or else..sometimes they choose the or else!!
Maybe looking at the financial aspect, sitting with Kel, going through your budget and asking where you could make up the salary loss might just be the eye opener..let him be the one to make that decision once all the options are on the table.
Just thinking, smell the smoke? Lol
lol your brain is burning, Betty?
I agree - going over the budget, so Kel can see where the $$ is NOT coming from if he takes the time off to be with his mom, would really be an eye-opener, and he should be the one to make the decision, then HE will live with it.
I also agree it's hard to bit your tongue, but can be most effective.....
Thank you so much for all your input.
I am smart enough to release MIL to the Lord. She's expecting me to confront her. Had not given her that pleasure for 2 years now, and that's why she's doing all she can to bring us down.
Thunder, I've uttered those 4 letter words so often lately that sometimes I forgot to beg the Lord for forgiveness!
Yes Barb, I cleaved to Kel when I married him. He is my second as you know, and a good man he is.
I've weighed my pros and cons.. and Kel has more pros and 1 con!
This man doesn't smoke, drink, gamble, hunt nor womanize. He's 11 years younger than me, but will do his very best to please me, my family and even my friends.
Thus said, Betty, I am biting my tongue again.. and again... and again..for our love's sake.
You are so right, most often doing so, can bring surprising peaceful results.
No, I'm over drama, and I won't ever compete with this evil woman.
LK, I had stopped giving Kel ultimatums. It's really not fair to him. I know he loves me and I know he's pleasing his mother on account of his father. Moreover, the guilt will weigh heavily on me, if I forced him to make a stand.. if I should leave?
Kel had reminded me that if I were to leave, his mother would have won.
She played this game with all his ex wives and with his brother's wife too.
I'm not playing her game, I truly love Kel.
Sue, Susan.. Kel will work out with his CO for the days he need to be off.
Good thing he qualifies for Family Medical Leave Act which entitled him to 12 weeks of leave without losing his job.
As you know, he doesn't work regular 5 days 40hr. work week. More like 4 days on and 4 days off. So, he says he'd try to get more days off.. and later pay back the days. Moreover he didn't make use of last year's sick days (14 days).
As for money.. we will be alright. Thank you sistahs, seriously, no lie here.. we will be fine.
I don't know what else this cretin wants. Kel told me that he's only putting up with her as long as his dad is alive. Just like keeping the shop open on his days off.. as he promised his dad not to permanently close the shop. What a filial son. Even rare in the old Testament!
One thing we know, the minute his father's gone, she'd be packing her suitcase with the life insurance and will move to Myrtle Beach. I don't wish for his father to die soon, as that man deserves some peace from her before Lord takes him home ;)
I am home here where I find all the loving support I need.
Making a solemn promise here, before I release that bullet, I will call one of you!! I'll just bite it for now!
Thanks sistahs. I love you!

We love you too Jaye! Not an easy thing to do, to have a MIL like that and her demands!

Come on over and sign up for the Valentine swap!
Just know that we all write out of love for you and Kel too. We just don't want you to be hurt any more. I am proud of the way you have handled this with such patience. I'm afraid I would have given up a while ago. Kel is to be praised as well for being a man who keeps his word. That and your name are the only two things that are truly yours and I respect him for that.......
good morning.
Jaye good idea about leaving her to the Lord. Your MIL behavior sounds just like Jessica's.. sad to say. My poor girl was so vindictive at time toward me. Oh Lawdy it was rough. I know your pain all to well Jaye. You just can't win with the personality your MIL have. * sigh* Oh girl i feel for you and send you healing energy .
Betty glad your home safe and sound.
Marion how are you feeling today ?
Cindy how was your girl night out ?
Barb what is the weather like in your town
well the snow is melting here. Tim is home and we got project to do today
It is sunny today Sue but bitterly cold. The temp now is only 20* at 9:30 in the morning. We are looking for a new place to live that is not quite so expensive. Maybe one where the heat and electric is included. So while we look, we are weeding out and donating what we don't need. I think it may be a bit difficult for us to go from a three bedroom home to a small rental until but it is a "must do" this year.
Winter wonderland here..
Only thing I NEED to do is trek to the back shed in several feet of snow for the totes then back to store for yet another year! Amazing how much dust there is after being gone just for 2 weeks.
Friend coming over for a few hours so I can show her how to do the twisted technique..might even take a few minutes to bake some muffins.
That is a lot of snow, considering you nonevent little when you got home yesterday.
