We will be having New Year dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. Copying Barb there!
I really want to eat an all vege meal today, got to start healthy eating. Chinese restaurant offer more veges than others. Wonder why Mexican restaurants don't have veges on their menu, besides the spinach quesadillas? Except when it's (cabbages and radishes) in Posole, and that's offered only on Christmas.

Mexican's have lots of beans and avacado's! Both good for you if done in moderation!
Bill's favorite is Pollo Loco. It has mushrooms, onion and zuchinni. Course, it has cheese sauce galore, too!
Small pork roast and sauerkraut with mashed tators for good luck here. Should have buried a dime at midnight but I didn't think about it till right now!!!
hmmm just bought a whole Whack of avacadoes..... yummy! They're really a good price now!
Today it's ham, scalloped potatoes and green beans, with a Christmas pudding and rum sauce!
We have a couple coming over today for dinner - Doug & Bev. He's 78, and she's 2 years younger than me!! I can't quite believe it, but she's had a hard life. She lives in the care residency that Doug volunteers at.

just heard that Bev can't make it. Last night we were together at a New Year's Eve do at our community center, and Bev wasn't using her cane. She's hurting now, and as they only allow baths by appointment only (because it regularly takes 2 assistants to help, in some cases) she can't have a soak in epsom salts to help.
But, Doug says he's still coming, so it will be the three of us. Enjoyable time, I'm sure!

Just checking in.....last few days have not been good for me at all.......having way too much pain with this thumb of mine. Been having to take pain pills that I don't like they make me feel groggy all day long. Laid on the bed most of the day with hand elevated, fell asleep woke up at 12:00 am fwll right back to sleep finally woke up at 8 am.
Used my skype to chat with my cousin in Kansas, she has satelite so was not a good connection, but it was fun anyways.
Love that snowman,,but you better fix that glove, looks like he is flipping someone off? LOL!
Sorry to hear Bev is not feeling well, pretty sad you have to wait for a bath!

For anyone using Skype, I found a program used through gmail, called google talk. It is free to download, very quick to install, and easy to use. It runs a lot better than Skype.
Cindy - sorry your thumb is hurting you.....

LK - I'm going to check it out, cuz my friend Doug has speed issues with is slow computer and Skype doesn't work well for him - video freezes.
He's coming over today for New Year's dinner, so will mention it to him. Doug's not very computer literate, so we'll see what he says. His brother Phil uses Skype, so he may not want to change because of Phil........
We have cable connection here, and Skype still freezes, very frustrating.

To have good luck, it's collard greens.. didn't have that either.. but I had lots of green beans, green cabbage and green skinned zucchini at the Chinese restaurant! That may work!

Aww Cindy, give it time to heal. Sorry you're going through so much pain. Think that soon you'd be enjoying that bike.

Doug has cable, too, but his system is slow so Skype will freeze regardless of the connection speed.

Another groggy morning, had to take a pill last night. I really didn't want to as I have to go to hearing aid doc and get 4runner smog today, ugh
Sure hope that pain eases up soon for you Cindy! When do you go back for a follow up? Sure hope your not driving feeling groggy like that?

The weather's beautiful today. A little sprinkling this morning, and the sun's out in it's full glory.
A good day to spend outside, but the 50s drove me back indoors, much to the disappointment of my faithful cats.
I have about 6 that follow me around the garden. Curious little critters.. and especially one "Silver" that thinks he's the gang's leader. If one get too close to me, he'll be pawing it away!

Well again my insurance sucks. Come to find out the new hearing aid benefit does not work with my hearing place. So instead of a $150 co-pay, the company says it's $340 for one hearing aid for me. And then they do NOt do repairs or anything for FREE. I am to send a copy of hearing test, then they will pick hearing aid that is right for me. But how do they know it's going to work without adjustments. Then if it needs to be adjusted it's mail it back and they will adjust and CHARGE for it, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I sent them an email asking why my co-pay is $340 when my booklet says $350, still waiting to hear back.
My audioligist ordered a TTY phone for me, nice but it only works with others who have TTY. Dang was hoping I could use it to call MY SISTAHS once in awhile, :( My hearing has gotten worse, I can not under a lot of words anymore when talking on the phone.
Tomorrow is our GIRLS nite, I have not seen them since October. Because Dec was such a busy month for all of us we postponed it to this month. So we will be doing our gift exchange.
Sorry about all the confusion with your insurance company Cindy, they sure know how to make their customers miserable!

Well I just found out I can get a phone and be able to chat with YOU ladies, lol. It's a CalTel800, where you call a 1-800 # give them my # and a third party thingie will put what you are saying on that little screen. It will take about 7 days for a techie to contact me to come to house and get me set up. This will be very intresting ^_^
Thanks LK, surprisingly the only pc friendly tablet they sell at out local WM is Ipad. No joke!! The one Kel wants is a 10" and has lots of apps too.
