Update on the firefighters killed crismis eve.
They have 25,000 signatures on a petition to the govt. for the medal of honor for the 4 involved in the shooting.Now all they need is govt.approval.

I'd agree with the same sort of honors as police shot in duty.

I disagree with them receiving the medal of honor, that is should stay reserved for military personnel only.

I do believe they should come up with something for fireman who lose their lives, did all the firemen who lost their lives on 9/11 get anything??? that is what I call going above and beyond call of duty

Yes, some honor but certainly not the Medal of Honor.

The Govnt.has the final say.
This is for private citizens not military that medal of honor is something quite different.

There must be honors of some type for police & firefighters. Those wish to present a military honor don't seem to know what it is.

ahhh Medal of freedom....gotcha....shouldn't be any question, if they die during duty they should automatically get it, why do they need to petition for it?

I have no idea and there doesnt seem to be a fixed criteria.The prez would probably award with 25,000 rather than 400.

Since the people are being treated for rabies - sounds like the cat was rabid. The behavior isn't right for a wild cat - it might have attacked the man but then it would have run like the wind away from the garage - unless, of course there were kittens.

surprised it went in a garage to begin with - i think it felt cornered in the garage and attached to get out - wonder if the kid was also in the garage.

I need to rant about the e-mails from Gardens Alive.
Does anyone know how to unsubscribe to ALL their mail.?I get 4 a day someimes and I think the Unsub.only unsubs for that mail.I have been to the "unsubscribe " 3 times and they still send.I feel stalked.

If you have unsubscribed that is supposed to take care it, if they are still sending it list their email as spam and block them

i do not get shots either jen - wife does as does as her long term care facilty has it as a requirement for all staff - she has already had the flu this years as have several of her employees

and you never get the full story from the news anyway...how long were they sick? how were they being treated? did they already have compromised immune systems?

flu takes a death toll every year with young and old regardless of flu shots

You can choose to believe what you like. This is America, at least for now.

I only got a flu shot last year because my boss had a comprimised immune system.

My sister and BIL, who NEVER get it, and are against almost everything 'conventional' are both so sick with it now that they said they are both getting it next year. Sister said she has never felt so bad in her life and she has been through quite a bit.
