we have them around here too - never saw one - a women my wife works with has a large property the next town over and allows the town to dump road kill where her land abuts conservation land - they have scout camera's set up and see bobcat, coyote, fishers - no mtn. lion yet.
Coffee break #90 welcoming 2013
WOW I never thought about roadkill.I was traveling to a small town one day and got behind a truck with 3 dead deer on the back. Impossible to pass on a 2 lane.Ugggg.
The bobcat in the garage did test positive for rabies & the people are getting shots. I think hiding in a garage is behavior of a sick animal & so it turned out.
Sorry to hear about Jim, Sherrie......hope both of you are OK. Jo, great snow design, can't imagine how he saw that in his head......I've only seen 1 bobcat down at the dam, but I'm sure there's a few.....
Maby he is the same guy who does crop circles.
I am sure math and a compass are involved.
those snow patterns are awesome.
Reminds me of crop circles, also.
I once moved the lily bulbs to a new garden. I do believe that the bulblets left behind were the reason that lilies grew in the old spot anyway. They weren't as big the first year.
Thanks I just scooped them up and dug a hole and tossed them. I didnt want them to be eaten by deer or dryout.
What a pretty little girl!
Thanks Terri!
what a doll Celeste!!
we are happy to be home.. was a long hard weekend for everyone.. just the gateway to the rough road ahead.. thank you all for the DG hugs I was feeling all weekend
Cutie!
Glad you are back home, Allison....I know how very tough that was for you & Randy. Pixie, you have a sparkly-eyed doll for a GD!
Will continue sending hugs Allison
Celeste she is a cutie, and I know it will fly by now.
cute kiddo's
thought i would share this -
An 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting.
When she went before the judge he asked her, "What did you steal?"
She replied, "A can of peaches."
The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches,
And she replied that she was hungry.
The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can.
She replied, "6."
The judge said, "Then I will give you 6 days in jail."
Before the judge could conclude the trial, the woman's husband spoke......and asked the judge if he could say something.
The judge said, "What is it?"
The husband said, "She also stole a can of peas."
Haha! I love that joke. I'm gonna go tell that one to my wife (againt my better judgement, of course).
you guys are the best buds... hugs to all.. it was worse than I expected.. I won't go into the details because talk about religion isn't allowed on here.. but I thought I was in the twilight zone
Funny Bill
You need to dmail me details!
Sorry, Allison.
Funny, Bill!
So sorry it was such a tough experience, Allison. I hope you and Randy can cuddle your fur-babies and get some rest. Hugs to you both!
Celeste, Bella Boo is so adorable, and if I recall correctly, she has been beautiful from the first day! It is wonderful that you are so close so you can see your Grandies often. I miss ours. The time is just flying by here. In 2 weeks, we'll be halfway through our usual time here. We decided we have to bring up our house systems to the new code before we put it on the market, so we have had a steady stream of workers here. We have replumbed the house's original plumbing, re-roofed the 3 flat roofs, new water heater & new cenral air/heat. Not much is left to do and then we'll put it on the market. We would have to do these things by November for the new insurance requirements after the recent hurricanes anyway, so it is what it is. Hank has managed all of it and he has done a great job. Both of my arms are still a problem with bad tendinitis, but I got out and did some weeding this morning. It sure felt good to be a gardener again. I also had blood work this morning and will see where we are with this mess as soon as the doctors up there get the results.
Bill, that joke was funny!:).
I'm waiting for a guy to come give us a quote on cleaning the windows. I usually do them myself, but that's not happening this year and Hank still has a few carpentry tasks on his plate. I have no idea what they charge down here for that. They are a mess from all the roofing, etc.
Have a lovely warm winter day, everyone up there!
Louise
nice to here from you louise - say hello to hank for me
thank you Louise.. hugs
Hello Louise!
Sorry to hear that Allison...death is hard enough then if there are conflicts...
Said a final "see you soon" to my sister today, she is leaving for TN tomorrow, hate to see all the changes life throws at us sometimes. I swore I wasn't going to cry and I would handle it well...not a chance...
thanks Ronnie.. I can say it was a test of strength for all of us
Jen, such cute babes....I think it's great to have the kids close in age....my siblings were just too much older than I was.....Louise, glad you got out to weed....good for the soul...hope the blood tests are good! Ronnie, sorry your sister moved....can't get mine to go anywhere....sigh....Allison, hang in there.....
Bill's joke should be a companion to the story about the judge's wife. Judge is listening to a man's defense for murdering his wife. Seems every time the couple were out socializing and they were offered a mint julep, the wife said she didn't need one, because she'd just drink some of the hubby's. Defense lawyer argues justifiable homicide. the judge agrees. Next night, the judge's wife is found dead.
Jen, those little angels are incredibly cute. I missed that post somehow Congrats on the new little great niece! Like the name. You really grow cute kids in your family!
Awwww, Rosemary, I am sending you a big hug and hoping you will see your sister soon!
