Thanks. How is your hand? Can you paint?
Coffee break #90 welcoming 2013
No painting yet.
Its incredible how much we need our thumbs for everything and how little subtle movements that perform mindless tasks are taken for granted.
I am in the 5th week and 3rd week of Physical Therapy.I can really feel progress daily.
Milestone,I can cut cheese ( no remarks Victor) and shower and turn pages in a garden catalogue.
#1 Hand excersizes
#2 the funniest BDay card inside "2 out of 3 isnt bad
Why is it if I cut cheese I get a dirty look or worse and if the better half does it is funny?
I have no words.
Funny card!
Guess no tiddly-winks for a while.
Went to my older guy's All-County band concert over the weekend. Wow, were they good! What a difference compared to the school concerts. Sounded like HS senior level or better.
Sitting, talking...and what? ROFL !
While not sleeping last night I pondered what's worse, losing sight or losing both hands. Hands are so useful!
I'm a nurse and never got the flu shot, because I never got sick. Then about 4 years ago I was diagnosed with a skin lymphoma, and my oncologist thought I should get it. So I have been since then. Our health care system doesn't require flu shots, although they highly encourage them. We have to wear a flu shot sticker on our name tags, and if they is a breakout of flu, anyone without a sticker has to wear a mask.
Bill, because she IS the better half?
Ah, so it's the sticker that protects you...;)
Good answer Deb
and the follow up to the Bobcat attack

Wow....that makes me think about all my walks in the woods! I get the flu shot every year....kids are always sick, & my grandkids bring it all home!
Terrible about the ferry crash in NY. Hoping this is not an omen of continued tragedies.
Just heard that the same ferry had some accidents in the previous years also.
hmmmmm time to check the pilots drug level.
Came home from babysitting about 6:00....kids were good, but I'm wiped!
Even when the kids are good, just having to be "on" all the time with no breaks, really takes its toll!
That it does!!
agree.
Double bus accident this morning, school bus and commuter bus, school bus had NO kids in it(THank GOD) but the commuter bus was packed
Too many careless drivers out there!
That ferry accident reminded me of the time my parents and I visited my sister and family in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The ferry driver pulled in too fast and BAM! Sent a bunch of people flying, good thing no one was hurt
Oh man you should have heard my father yelling at the guy. First time driving this thing! You think you could slow down next time!
Problem is everyone is in such a rush they stand up before it's docked - and right at the top of stairs!
More Twilight Zone - some group named Bill Clinton the father of the year.
Jen - are you still going to the gym??
I've seen this before but it's worth watching again. Yikes!
http://richardwiseman.wordpress.com/2013/01/10/amazing-cctv-footage/
I think that is the same footage they used for a cruise ship going thru a storm last year
Thru the holdiays I didn't have any time to go, I wanted to start back this week but I did something to my hip and was in excruciating pain, yesterday it was so bad that prescription naproxin didn't even help
good grief
I almost got hit head on this morning by a EMT driver, truck came right into my lane and was going pretty fast, no lights or anything...would not have been able to get over if needed there was a car parked next to me...residential street no less...scared the $#!& out of me!
Wow - scary, Ronnie!
Hope you feel better soon, Jen. Muscle?
Thank God you're ok Ronnie
I don't know what the heck it is, much better today, though
Regarding the flu:
The virus causing the most problems: A particular strain of type A influenza called H3N2 has been the most predominantly reported this year. Luckily, this year’s flu vaccine is very well matched to H3N2, which has been historically associated with more severe illness.
Wow, Ronnie....scary indeed....hate to drive these days! Or get on a ferry!
Sick thread? No but I will come here. Jim, my hubby was down & out of work all Last week. He had the Flu. He did not get better & was suffering. A bully went to work & was gonna die. I made him a Dr. appt. and made him go.
He had severe Bronchittis, after the flu.
FLU ALLERT: There is now 2 different FLU:S = H1N1 & Norovirus.
Dont belive in God but at this point God Save me. I Have not had either.
Definitely scary Ronnie! I had a close call walking the other morning, it happens so quick. Luckily the driver saw me at the last second and also I stepped off the road. I do wear a white coat, but think it's time to get reflective clothing. I usually only see 1-2 cars, but one is all it takes.
I wish that more walkers & joggers would wear bright clothing. Glad that you are ok, Ronnie & that Jen is feeling better.

I just read that Jo! Very neat!!
Weird about the bobcat attack....we have tracks of one right outside my back deck. I am told we have 3 living in this area but I have yet to see one, just his foot prints thats all. ^_^
That pattern is very cool!! I am amazed how perfect it seems.
Let's keep it that way, pixie! Only seeing footprints!!
