Had to finish xmas shopping, not too happy about going out in public without being able to fix my hair ugh. but got it done

I love that picture. Sue, like the others, I am sending you hugs and letting you know what you are dealing with is very normal. I would say I remember Christmas 8 year ago but I went into deep shock and was just barely functioning. I don't recommend doing it that way.....has some bad effects!! Hang on to the twins and know we are all here for you..just yell.

Sue, both look as though they are having quite a relaxing day..think mommy should be on the otherside getting Christmas licks

Hello to all you special friends. I am writing to publically thank all that had any part in sharing the awesome "Prayer Shawl". No way could I ever thank you enough for caring and sharing the most meaningful mail delivered gift that has ever come into this home. When I opened the box, in front of Ray, there were no words at first because when I read the card Ray & I both teared up and couldn't talk. After the first wonderful shock and realizing how the Shawl came about, I was again speechless. (doesn't happen often) I immediately draped the Shawl around Rays shoulders, and honestly it looked like he wanted to hug the arms on the Shawl. I hope the next person who gets to have your arms around them will feel and be comforted as much as we were. Tomorrow I will box up the most precious loan we could ever have, and get it back into the mail to Jaye.
With all our hearts, we thank you.

We are humbled to be made God's tools, as it's the Lord that uses the shawl to bring comfort and hope to Ray. And we all say "Amen!"

morning, rainy windy and tornadoes here today. thankfully they seem to be south of us, but really wish there weren't any at all. mobile airport to a hit at 5 am this morning. it rained so hard here at 4 am, i thought it was the roof collapsing. i jumped out of bed and ran from room to room looking, and waking everyone up. then the sirens went off, and we got hail.

finally going christmas shopping today. haven't started yet except for a few things over the internet. so there's nothing to it-
but to do it.

Thank God it's just hail, Sis Kathy and not a bigger threat. I don't think this town is equipped for alarms should there be a tornado heading this way. Never had one, till 2 years ago, when one hit about 60 miles away.

I don't know yet what will be done. Just got the results of the MRI. My doctor's office is going to schedule me an appointment with the Orthopaedic doctor so will know more after that. The nurse did say it wasn't any wonder I was having so much trouble and pain.

Note to self: one walks up and down stairs, does not fall up or down stairs as it can cause injury!

We are expecting rain for 3 days str8 starting tonight and high winds ugh.

I am not going to take cuttings from the Brug....I have no more room to plant any. So if they don't come back on their own, oh well. Besides I am still wanting to travel...............still thinking of getting a toy hauler. it's too cold here in the winters for Doug so we need to be where it is warmer....AZ!!!!!!

Sue I can so relate as to what to eat for Christmas. I had thought we would be going to see my mom but that was before Kim got sick and I found out about my knee. Yea, they have now imposed some restrictions on me......bummer. Just the 2 of us so I might either have a ham or spurge on a small ,read that as very small, rib roast! All depends on what Kim feel like having to eat.

We are under a tornado watch and having some very hard rain with winds. Cozy day for curling up with a good book!

MIL is getting pizza. Oh and its from the day before since pizza place is not open on christmas ... yea that should fun.... not. but i do understand. Her age at 86 i m sure she doesn't want to cook.

if i can find a turkey breast only . ( not a loaf) that won't be so bad.

My youngest works at a restaurant, and the boss sent him home today with two huge aluminum pans full of turkey meat !! it was frozen, so they took a little bit out of one pack and put the rest in the freezer . just take it out day before, then heat it up....along with Ham hubs wanted... I have no clue what else we are eating...

some nice perks from time to time with him working at a very nice restaurant :)

27 here this morning, getting to 21 tonite. my grandson is home and i'm babysitting 2 of his friends. so many bomb threats and such going on tiday, we are all afraid of sending them to school. right now school is on lock down as a precaution.
got all my shopping done, now to wrap. i am exhausted.
jaye, i have weather call, so if a tornado is heading towards our house, all of our cell phones and the house phone ring. if its just in the county, we turn the news on when the sirens go off to see who's getting it.

Well, Luna has been sick with diarea and vomiting. I took her to the vet today to get her shots and a check up. We found out she has hookworms, heart worms, and tick fever. She is on several meds and anti biotics for a month.,the vet said she is pretty sick, and we are going to see if the meds work. If not they have to give her a series of shots, that cost almost $600.00! We are all pretty sad because she is sick, but more mad because who ever had her before did not take care her very well!

Oh LK, that is so heart breaking. Did you adopt her from a shelter? If so they should of had her xhecked out before they let you have her.


Cast off, stiches out of palm of hand but still in, on the thumb side. Now sporting this blue thingie, lol
