Homemade Baileys Irish Cream Recipe
http://www.cupcakeproject.com/2009/12/homemade-baileys-irish...

Here is the homemade Baileys Irish Cream recipe for all of my friends, both on and offline. It's easy enough that you should have time to whip up a batch to take to your New Year's Eve parties! I found the recipe on a discussion forum on Chowhound. The entire discussion is worth a read. It contains lots of information about the drink.

1 C light cream
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 2/3 C Irish whiskey
1 t instant coffee
2 Tbs Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract

-Combine all ingredients in a blender and set on high speed for 30 seconds.
-Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. Shake before using.
-Will keep for up to 2 months.

Morning sistahs.
Kel will be in a happy place today.. I lost my voice!
Throat's sore, could barely swallow anything. Might have caught that cold from him. But will try anything to halt the 'inconvenience' of not expressing my thoughts to him. Lol!!

Oh well, a cup of hot Irish Whiskey might do the trick. OR it looks like I have to grab that JD and pour some in my tea!!

I know money is tight for most of us, but Christmas isn't too far away. Who's giving what for our love ones??

Kel's getting a new smart phone as he had damaged what he has. His text messages appear backwards to his readers!!! Lol!! Just like his brains. So, whatever he need to text, it got to be typed in reverse!! I better get him out of his misery :D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Backwards text, maybe they can read it in a mirror? LOL!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LOLOL!! Kel shook his head when I repeated that!! Good way to ruin his reputation, he said! Maybe he'd get dyslexic customers, LK!! LOLOLOL!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

wow hO!!!!! Taht t'nac eb yna nuf!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am making something for one of my sisters, because I saw the pattern and it had her name written all over it!!
I made a table runner for hubs, and the boys and I bought him a new recliner, he needed it very badly...He can sit much more comfortably now. :)
I bought a few silly things for the two boys who will be here for Christmas.
bought a bunch of stuff for Malena!!! Christmas is for the little ones!!! They are moving this weekend, she will have a bigger room, and she loves butterflies, so I found some beautiful pictures, and I am going to get them printed. I will put them in some inexpensive frames, and send those. she is in love with Tinkerbell, and Periwinkle, so I HAD to buy her dolls. also bought her a babydoll dressed in a lady bug costume, and she has a little pillow pet lady bug!! it was too cute!!! and then there were some awesome stuffed my little ponies, her favs, rainbow dash and twilight sparkle!! I find it quite funny that her Momma had to ask her Daddy which ones were her favs!!!!! he enjoyed my little pony when he was little :) shhhhh don't tell him I said so!!! got a few other little things....I am allowed!! I am the Mor Mor!!! son tells me I am spoiling her.....ohhhh well !!!!

I am going to finish the butterfly quilt, to give to her when I go for birth of new one, and I will give her the interactive doll I got. figure that way she will have her own baby to take care of.

Morning all, it's our Christmas day today as the family will be travelling to different parts of the world this week with families so today we exchange gifts..

I've been blessed this year so all will receive most everything that was on their "Santa could you bring me list!"

Christmas is for the children, my grandsons are 13/14/15 and 17, still young grandchildren to me, that being said, my boys are my little ones and so they are on top of santa's list as well!

My Christmas gift is bringing joy to family and friends as each open their gift..didn't have a thing on my list as I said, Santa was fpgood to me this year..

It's between rain/snow this morning, am sure the temps will warm up and we shall not have the freezing rain for travelling to the city..

As I look at the tree while sipping my coffee this morning I have a sense of peace within..

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Merry Christmas to you Betty, Hope you have a fantastic day, giving and receiving many many hugs, with your wonderful family :)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

May God bless you and yours today Betty as you all celebrate His brith. May this peace that you feel stay with you always my friend.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Merry Christmas to you and your family Betty! So glad to hear you have that Blessed peaceful feeling!

Well, I made a batch of the Baileys fudge last night, and OH MY GOODNESS, it is so good! Even Todd likes it, and he is not a sweet eater! it is not overly sweet, and the Bailey's flavor is not overpowering, but you sure can taste it! Now I need to find someone to give it too, as it made a huge cookie sheet full of fudge! And it was so easy to make!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

My address is on file Linda Kay!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It will go out Monday!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

hi ladies,

boy that was some serious stuff they did to my hand. the nurse started to tell me what the doctor was going to do but the first word was so long even she couldn't pronounce it so she showed me the paper. i swear the first word had a thousand letters in it, and all i could understand was carpel tunnel. when i first woke up from sugery i was in pain big time, it took 2 pain pills and two shots to get me comfortable for the ride home. of course i got sick from all that and had to run for the bathroom. so for the last 3 days all i've done is take pain pills and sleep. still feeling a little woozy, but i'm tired of laying around ^_^

Hey Cindy, glad to see you pop in! Sending prayers for a complete healing!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol Barb!!! It's easier to decipher upside down sentences than the backwards one!
You all should see Kel's frustration as he kept erasing trying to get words out, and he finally QUIT all texting yesterday. I'm sure he could use a whole bar of soap to clean his mouth!!

Betty, you bring joy to your family and friends all year, everyday of their lives, not just Christmas.
You should feel at peace all the time, as you don't have a mean bone in your body and you aim to make everyone happy.
But you're right, Christmas is more for the kids. This year, we are fortunate to do 2 Angel Tree kids. Their requests are reasonable.. all available at Walmart! :D
May you have wonderful Christmas memories this year, Betty. And I'll pray for a safe travel!

Thunder, I'm feeling your excitement on the new grandbaby. Do you know what the sex is? Can't imagine Malena becoming a big sister.
That's funny that dad knows what she likes!!
My little brother, growing up, would rather play dressing up dolls then his Legos. Always thought he'd be a designer, but his career is in engineering. Guess he grew up to dress up reservoirs!!

You were too groggy to take in that thousand words, Cindy!
Now take your time using that hand.. you know what you're supposed to do. Don't get overly anxious to return to the garden or your crafts. Let Doug pamper you please!!

LK, if you have more, I'd like to try some since you said it's not overly sweet. Just the fudge, not the Bailey's. Think Marion would like that :D

I'm over the 'runs', the cold and I had a haircut today!!
Yes Pegi, my hair is shorter now. Just feel like a new look and if I can find someway to get rid of these deep wrinkles, that will be next! Lol!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well I know where your "runs" went Jaye. Kim drove me out to do a few errands but before we could get out of the car, we had to return home. She is really have a "go" right now. So far only hot mint tea will stay down.

I seriously need a haircut but being I am not driving yet, have to wait.

Ah my Baileys!!! Did have Kahlua flavored coffee this morning and it was so good. Kim fixed some yesterday but decided to do this mornings half and half...much, much better.

Cindy, take it easy and ouch, I so remember the day my arm looked like that.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - no wonder you had a headache reading it - it's upside down as well as backwards LOL
Hope you had a Merry Christmas, albeit early, it's blessed to have all the family together!!!

Thunder - we're all looking forward to being "aunties" to the new little one in May!!

LK - I need to make me some of that Bailey's Fudge!!

Cindy - please, please, please take care of that hand........ Carpal Anything is painful, no matter HOW many letters are in the name!!

Jaye - I'd like to see your new "look"!

Marion - how's Kim feeling now?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Still not doing very well....thank goodness I have plenty of mint tea bags so at least she won't get dehydrated. Not what neither of us needed right now but it is what it is........

Victoria Harbour, ON

Marion, Marion...no more getting ill or we'll not be able to meet up..only few days for you to recoup

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope Kim is feeling better soon!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Trust me this was not planned Betty. Kim had a really rough night and still is very touchy about what she can keep down. She had told me earlier in the week that a stomach virus was running through the school. Guess she wasn't as lucky as she thought she was going to be!!!

As long as I can keep her from becoming dehydrated then I think we will be okay.......if not, it will be doctor time!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh lordy Marion, you both have had your fill of illness..sure hope it's a quick recovery!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

So do I Betty. This too will pass but in the meantime, I feel helpless as to how I can make her more comfortable. I guess once a mother, always a mother!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, Kim will always be exposed to viral germs as long as she works in a school.. poor thing!
It's the same with Kel here, he's been bringing home more coughs.. sneezes... intestinal discomforts (ooops.. that's his stress acting up).
Gatorade "Zero" is now what we've been drinking. Or, a 1/4 cup of pickle juice daily. That works in rehydrating ourselves.
Has Kim tried ginger tea, Marion?
Besides mint, grated fresh ginger, steeped in boiling water, will settle her stomach. That's according to ancient Chinese secrets.
Sending gentle hugs to Kim.

No Susan, I will not subject my camera to more abuse!! LOL!!

Kel took a whole week off, to help out his dad with medical appointments.

Anyone heard from Sue?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

No she hasn't tried ginger tea.....night need to do that. Thankfully she loves ginger flavored things so.......

it is a difficult time for me for this holiday. have not been posting much anywhere or talking much.
just thought i would come in and wish everyone happy holidays.
we decided to log our woods . did a select cut . what a mess they leave. some of my fav tree's are gone :(
its a bitter sweet for me. anyone interested in firewood contact me :) we have plenty !
hope everyone is doing well.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Lots of hugs from Canada, Sue!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sending hugs and prayers along with the others Sue..holidays can bring back memories and feelings we thought we had under control..whatever you are feeling, feel it, worse thing one can do is shelve it, always comes back at some point to deal with.
