Hello Ladies,
Been here at my mom's since Saturday...had doc appt today for hand surgery. But first I have to have an ekg (having that done in the morning) then waiting for an appt to see a Neurologist on BOTH hands. Doc thinks I have carpel tunnel now in both hands. But he did say surgery asap on left as the arthritis is eating away at the muscles in the left, so surgery on left hand may be a double whammy, owie :(

We are in for some wicked rainy weather. Starting tomorrow suppose to rain 5 days str8, and that this is just the first series of storms coming our way. They said these storms are going to be hurricane like, and that there will be flooding for sure. Glad my mom is in the foothills, but we could get flooded :( very scary!! So who has the ARK???? Send it my way. Don't know how these storms will effect Pegi though??????

Norm is doing great LK. His arm and chest area are sore but not in sharp pain. He feels good and we go to the oncologist tomorrow before chemo infusion. Hopefully we will get some info....We are concerned with these lesions popping up with such frequency and want to find out if they are going to do so from now on.....and if so, is there anything we can do to stop them or slow them down any.
I'm going to go open my present from Mary --- be back soon.

yummmmm I have Kahlua, but no marshmallow creme...... will have to get it!! I wanna make that Kahlua Fudge!!
Here's a recipe I have for Chocolate Kahlua Cake!

CHOCOLATE KAHLUA CAKE
1 box chocolate cake mix...chocolate not devil's food or red velvet.
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 6oz. package of instant chocolate pudding mix ( the large box)
4 eggs
3/4 cup Kahlua liqueur...a little extra doesn't hurt!
1/2 cup water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 6 ingredients in mixing bowl and blend well. Pour into greased and lightly floured 9 1/2 bundt pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.

Combine 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar with 6 TBS (again more doesn't hurt..LOL) Kahlua liqueur mixing well.
Pour over warm cake while still in the pan. You might want to take a toothpick and punch holes so the glaze goes down into the cake.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan at least 2 hours.

Gotta try the fudge recipe....been making the cake for years. Actually the cake is much better the second day!!!!

Jaye, do we need to send a search party out for you? Can relate with internet as we have been having some problems the past 3 days....go figure.

Dreary, wet day again today. The drive is really pretty covered with the yellow, gold, red, burgundy leaves but oh so dangerous. They are very slippery from the rain so I am trying to avoid walking on it for now.

well, charlie tried to flog me 3 times this morning so now he's dead meat. tomorrows dinner
tonite we are having chubby the rabbit.

We are supposed to get rain starting this evening, but how much I just don't know. It seems a lot of the areas around us get a lot and we get just a small sprinkling.
I hope you don't get washed out Cindy.

All these wonderful recipes going around really is making me drool. Kathy really must be serious about sending the goodies, she is making sure everyone has her address. LOL

Well 1st storm came and went, not as bad as they sais it was going to be. Didn't rain very long either, came in early morng but stopped by mid afternoon. But today we are looking at HIGH winds, with gusts up 50 mph. May be a lot of power outages.

Looks like I'll be having my surgery Dec 13th

Good Morning Ladies,

So far we are good, but under high wind advisory thru Sunday. Some areas are flooded but not close to us. Only thing down around here are the darn grapefruit!!! All over the yard, and everytime one hits the roof the dogs start barking their heads off, jeez!!!

Had a super bad day with my hand yesterday, pain was soooooooo bad the veins were protruding. Took pain pills, muscle relaxers, iced it, heated it, finally took some laverdar oil and a heat massager and massaged it for a long time and it finally calmed down. I have NEVER had pain that intense before :(

We are getting our rain during the night, and today it is sprinkling on and off. We haven't had any high winds so can be thankful for that. My dogs will not go outside when it rains so I have to put pee pads down hoping they will use them.

Cindy I'm so sorry you are going through a lot of pain with your hand. Keeping you in my prayers for a very successful surgery. Glad the lavendar oil is helping.

Gigi would be so trilled to see all the wonderful decorations you have put in your garden. She is probably looking down say, "Thank you mom, very well done". I know how much you miss her; my son has been gone for 7 years and I still miss my blue eyed blond. She will always be in your heart.

Had to have new springs/cables put on the garage door yesterday. Kind of rough when you can't get the door open. I worried that the garage being opened so much in one day was hard on the springs, but the man said the more the door goes up and down the easier on the springs. Keeping the garage door closed all the time puts a lot of stress of them. Learn something new every day. Could have used the money for Christmas shopping!!

I talked to Jaye last night. I called her yesterday afternoon, but did not get an answer, she finally called me back after the football game was over. They are doing fine, just having internet, and or computer problem. One of them is her graphic card may be bad, that should be fixed by Tuesday, if she still can't get online, then she has to call the ISP, and see whats wrong.

No, my dogs don't like rain, especially the schnauzer.. I walk out with them and they will only go as far as the end of the awning on the patio. Schnauzer will pee on the bathroom floor if there is no pee pad there, don't know why she can't learn to use the toilet. LOL I'm still having such a time with Mandy, she refuses to be trained to do her business outside. She is a chewer too so have to be sure there isn't any papers around she can get a hold of to shred. Sometimes I'm sorry I said I would take her, but other times I love her to pieces, she is cuddler.

We didn't get much rain and the temps are going up so we should be in the mid 70's in a few days. Weather is crazy all over, even the weatherman is confused.

jessica's garden is still in one piece.
good to know Jaye is ok and just having computer problems. It sure is a long time when a comp is not working.

Morning everyone!

22 days till Christmas, are you all getting ready? Do you have your tree up yet?
We finally bought our tree Saturday, and so far I have the lights on it, hope to have it decorated today!

My tree is up!! Yesterday... I'm leaving in a little while to meet up with Cher and Jean (Qwilter) and I'm so glad it is a good driving day... I'll try for a picture!!
