Paul just called, he'll be in the Maritimes next week, entire week so boy will I be able to sew, should be able to get all christmas sewing done

no, most of it was bloodwork, and the cardio was just them hooking me up to wires and only took about 10 minutes each.

LOL Betty, I do a little work then I sit with the ice pack on my knee. Some of the swelling is gone and it is a little more flexible but still not recovered.

Susan, sometimes when they take viles/viles of blood it tires you out. How is the truck situation or should I ask.

Suzanne is running about 10 minutes behind, drats...want to beat the rush at the border crossing before everyone before us get all the sale items...to tell you the truth I've been across 4 or so times in a few months and have most of my Christmas list taken care of if not all so really am going to be part of our Annual outing but could sooo just go home and lay down..that likely won't happen until Monday now..

My sister is attempting to take Mom home Saturday. I say attempting as so many things are contingent on the nursing home doing what they said they would do and Hospice getting the oxygen for Mom. As of 5 minutes ago, the oxygen hadn't been delivered. Saying a prayer it all comes together after the work my sister has done. I am positive if it happens that one of my cousins will be posting pictures on FB....check my page late Saturday or Sunday.

I am definitely doing what I was told to do...I am not , let me repeat, NOT ready to be handicapped with this knee. Places to go, people to meet.

The truck is a "dead weight" sitting in our driveway, and Bob's home (now the full week) partly because of yesterday and today's snow.... can't work at a roof line when you have heavy snow.
So it's been a week and a 1/2 day he hasn't earned anything.

hmm they didn't offer any orange juice lol But I'm fine, really I am.
I'm going to apply for assistance, cuz with no income from me since August, and sketchy income from Bob, we're not too financially healthy to begin with.... then to have this happen with his truck?!?!?!?!

Betty, I didn't find one thing I wanted!! I did see a sweater that I kind of like, might go back and get it at JCP but was totally sold on that.

Went to the books store, and to JCP....and Target. Did end up getting an Christmas CD by Blake Shelton, I really like it. YES I listened to it
on the way home! lol

At least the kitties will eat!!! You aren't like some of those seniors who can't afford food so eat cat food instead are you??????

I have seen several seniors in the store buying lots of canned cat food. Debbie, do we need to take up a collection for you? LOL!

I'm trying to fix my laptop. I had WiFi with my laptop, but not for any distance (10 ft!), which meant I couldn't even use it in my kitchen one room and a short hallway away!
so I got online with my provider's tech support. I thought the program Cisco was unnecessary, so he deleted it, (after telling me it MAY mean I didn't have ANY WiFi on the laptop anymore.
Well, he was right - no WiFi network At All......
So now I'm updating my Windows XP and hoping part of this will mean I get my WiFi network.
I can connect with LAN, but nothing else, so....... we shall see if I'm successful - 3 1/2 hours later I'm still updating lol

But it was a Nice relaxing Friday night with DS 20 and his GF enjoying a Disney movie.....I'm a nerd I know. Hubby actually told me I was a Nerd last week......

Can't wait to hear Betty's adventures. We are actually going to Tailgate LSU tomorrow.... we NEVER do that.... But I suppose we have to break out of the box from time to time...

Mary, speaking of tailgating....DH's brother gave us tickets for Thursday night Buffalo vs. Miami game. I am a Miami fan....DH is Buffalo. Of course it has to
be a night time game....and the weather is going to change mid week! LOL

The first time DH cooked venison here....I cried and left the house. He hasn't cooked it since, that was 20 years ago! lol My SIL actually brought a few steaks over (despite DD's warning) and they are in the big freezer. lol

Great bargains at Khols, I spent $267 to save $528

We just unpacked a 4" memory foam matress and put it on the bed..imagine it was reg $429 on for $179. Sure hope it does the trick..going to sleep on it tonight, tomorrow night and if it doesn't work then she said I could return it

Bought mom a dual control heating mattress pad, few gifts for Greg and Jeff, gorgeous diamond studded earrings for Julie..all and all it was a productive evening.

Income treats with us, girls are just a gabbing, treats galore..I am hoping we will get a few hours sleep

I have gardened all my life it seems... since I grew up on a farm waaaay outside the city limits.. My Larry is a novice at it ... but it has been his lifelong dream to do a "truck patch " and sell his produce.. and since we have the acreage, I told him to "Go for it !!".. His ex was a city gal, and wanted no part of growing anything at all... So, Larry is in Hog Heaven now.. LOL My late husband also was a city fella... and didn't like getting his hands dirty.. but he was a good man and I adored him.. we were together for more than 40 years before he passed away suddenly.. We feel that God has placed us together in our old age to share common loves for country and gardening and travel..

Here is a photo of us taken last early spring.. He is a bit younger than I am, but then so is dirt.. LOL

Woohoo, I finally made some cuts with the "spaceship" just trying to get a feel for the machine, now all i gotta do is practice...need to figure out what type of wood works best for me, lolol, it aint glued together plywood, broke my dang letter, while sanding, boo and hoo too...Not going to say what i'm working on...heheh, you'll just have to wait and see!

Marion, i've been sending up some positive hopes for all clearance for Mom to be able to go home for a day...So sorry, your knee has been in bad shape, Hope you'll be up and about in no time, but i am very glad your taking it easy with it too...

Well...I'm just trying to behave, not always an easy thing for me...Dh has been home and Driving me insane. so now we have yet another project started and stopped in the middle of. sigh, but hey he did finish a few things in the bathroom, so got to be glad about that...lolol, 4 years later!!

Goodness, He went to Cottage to winterize, Joyce decided to go with, heavy sigh, she fell down a few stairs last night and Steve at the ER with her! She has whiplash and they are waiting for MRI on her back, so not good! So i may be playing nurse this week...Told Steve bring her home so i can chain her the bed! She just fell down her stair last week and broke her big toe and sprained her ankle!

not much else happening, although...I only have 2 rooms to completely clean up and out, so exciting.

Who said venison? Venison? We love the heck out of it... and eat it often.. nearly every week.. that or squirrel .. love squirrel.. I no longer hunt cuz my eyes are not so good... but I still have my shotgun, so Larry uses it to get the squirrels.. We are having venison hamburger steaks for dinner tomorrow.. YUMMM

Larry doesn't deer hunt much, but we do have a nice cool walk out basement where the local gents bring their deer... Larry hangs them up and our hired hand helps with the skinning and cutting it apart.. My job is to remove the bones and grind it up with some nice fresh beef fat.. and then we pack it in 1# packages in the freezer.. We don't grind the back straps and that is sooo tender and yummy, so I cut them into medallions and Larry cooks them up with biscuits and gravy.. We keep some of the ham pieces for stew...We do this for the guys on the halves.. so we get lots of deer meat.. We share our half with the hired guy..

I do garden, and I DO sew (from the "other neck of the woods, CANADA, eh?!")

I really love gardening, and grow such things as daturas, day lillies, mock organge shrubs, etc. Oh and sempura (sp), too (gotta love those hen 'n chicks!).

Once upon a time I did, cuz I was self-taught, and FedEx tech took me on, but nowadays they don't want self-taught, they want college-trained :-( Can't afford that s*_& so here I am..... still looking for work.... siiiiiiigh

Hi Carolyn........I am Debbie and the "animal nut" on here. I read about hunting and skinning squirrels faints dead away so go easy on me with the graphics of the hunting and eating her pet squirrels. Run Bambi...run! Oh ROCKY!!!! get out of the way! I have raised so many..... rescued and revived and released.
Some reason they tend to show up at my door in need. lol

Disappointed in the weather. We were supposed to warm up...but NOT!! High was 47. DH has been out working all day in the yard...but he is tuff. lol
I did get up in the attic and go through a bin of clothes and found a box of pictures. OH MY...talk about "oh look a bird" ...that did it for me and memory lane!
