Morning all,

Good night's rest, will be a quiet day at work, might even get a few winks in.
Managed to out all the treasures I bought on the weekend 'away' so house is back in order..sitting enjoying a coffee.

I'm no saint, we all know that but I sure have lots of patience..DID make a comment to her on our way home, she was gabbing about the seniors club , Tuesday night bingo, organizer is away on vacation so the extra pot they have always goes out when it reaches $200 now it will be put off for a week, she was going on and on and on about it..I said 'surely with all that is going on in the world,financial problems, illness that you would concern yourself with such a trivial matter..drats I was aggravated. she won't think about the rag quilt I finished for her but will be sure to go over my unkind comments.

Drove in the yard last night, leaves pretty well all on the ground, know what this weekend's chore will be.

I've been having some sleep/pain problems and not feeling my best. However, since Tony spent most of last week helping people clean six inches of mud off their floors and then went home to his two bedroom where 32 people had taken refuge from the flooding I am suffering (ha!) silently.

I managed to stay up yesterday, got some clean up done and some seeds planted then slept fairly well last night.

There's another storm south of here but it seems to be dissapating. Our weather is really beautiful this time of year - when we aren't haveing a hurricane.

Betty, I think you need a Mexican vacation. You can have you own room. No snoring/talking roommates.

I dream of the day my house will be in order. Time to work a little on it.

Mornin all. Betty I have slept enough for the both of us since Friday!!! Of course mine was drug induced (only way they could do an MRI) but it was sleep......took a trip to the hospital after a severe drug reaction with vertigo. Not a fun way to spend the weekend for sure but it did go quickly.

Moving slowly but at least I am up and moving today.

Morning everyone, I am back home. I got here about 3:30 yesterday, and I was so tired, I sat on the recliner and fell asleep. Then I got 10 hours of sleep last night.
Coffee is ready.

Marion, that is not good news..sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time! Have you ever had such a reaction? Any news from MRI? Sure hope you take it easy today.

Katie, you keep that bedroom open for me, you just never know when I want to run away..your area sounds just what the doctor ordered..lol Glad Tony is now coming back to help you out. Enjoy your weather.

LindaKay, glad you got some much deserved rest, hubby would enjoy just watching you sleeping knowing you are home safely.

Betty, yes, I got the results of the CAT scan, MRI and MR (I think that is the name of the last test done) and all were clear. CAT showed nothing; MRI revealed no clots or blocked vessels and the last reconfirmed all. So it was a really bad care of vertigo and severe drug reaction but it did present like a heart attack or stroke.

I am okay, just weak and sore but other wise fine.

Debbie, poor momma, sure hope you feel better soon...dang crud go away. Have to say, I am so glad to say: how grand you slept in. Not only, do you need it, you my friend D e s e r v e s it. You've been going full tilt for a while, now it's time to take care of you...cuddle up on your comfy chair wrapped up warm, read and doze. and don't forget to drink lots of water!

Hiya Thunder...thanks for the idea for not smoking, lol can use all the help I can get. Instead of pretzels, I am armed with enough Tootsie pop drops to rot my dentures, hahahaha! And, their cheeper then ciggies...well and in between, just working to keep busy and mind off.

My biggest deal is, that first one, all it takes...so, brain storm, asked for my boys help. He's hidden my last pack, leaving me 1. Making a consious effort start later each day. I wake up at 5:30-6...today, made it till 7:30., also stopped taking them with me when I go anywhere...so I'm making progress...and even better, I normally don't smoke in the house, so, it helps alot too.

So glad Betty and Linda kay are home safely! You both get some rest now, too.

dang girl what kind of stuff did they give you that caused the problems?? Pain meds? those always send me for a loop !!! If the usual prescription is take one every 4 hours, I usually only need to take a half every 6 - 8 hours...else I am a zombie, and barely even know my own name.

Linda, if you talk to Synda...tell her I am thinking of her often, sending hugs and happy thoughts.

I am going to try a new to me method. putting piece of fabric, and piece of thin interfacing together, rights sides facing, sewing the whole circle, cutting a slit in the interfacing, and turning right sides out, press, stitch.

Just received an order from Joann . com yesterday, in it there was a paper that said "we are now shipping to Canada" !! thought you might like that news :)

I also have some pieces cut for another Christmas quilt, and hope to cut some more today, and need to cut some more charm squares for the swap. very much wanting to do that present wall hanging too !!

Thunder is was a med that was actually developed for gout that they think triggered the problem. I do not have gout but they have found it works really well for joint pain which I do have in one knee. I was given ativan to calm me for the MRI but was told it was only the lowest dose......we I finally slept it off. Seem larger to me but then I am like you...I get good mileage from those meds.

I am doing fine and have a follow up Wednesday morning with my doctor so more of my questions maybe answered. I sure hope so as this was scary.

Well Marion, know I'm worried about you..let's hope all is under control. Allergy to some meds are deadly..can just imagine how frightened you and Kim must have been.

Thunder, did a dresden years ago same way you mentioned, is a bit easier for sure but still a lot of pinning/basting to adhere it.

I already have everything done for the large dresden table cloth/wall hanging, bought few yards of iron on double sided in hopes by ironing it on the dresdens, placing where I want it on background fabric and ironing in place it will be easier but then more expensive for sure.Hopefully you get the package today/tomorrow while you are off. Every time I go on Joann's site I see the advertisement saying we can order on-line..rather go over to your side and see/feel the fabric but in a pinch it would do

I just got home, and found a message from the employment agency - my last day was today, and I'm not to go back..... I think it was because the person training me had me doing things in a wrong priority order....... that's the reason she's being transferred back to her old job........ and She's training me????
I have to go back to get my shoes, return my security fob, and also get a spray bottle and brush I brought to clean the popcorn machine. I'm not leaving any of my stuff there!!

Oh, Susan, that's really too bad. It sounded like it might be a good fit for you. Better to find out now than down the road but it's a disappointment.

I am still struggling with the fact that I am recovering from the surgery, the trip and a tropical storm. Also, when I got home there was a letter from the IRS saying I owe them thousands of dollars. I finallly responded to that today and will get it in the mail tomorrow. Then maybe my stomach will stop hurting.

Tony got my back door repaired today and did some work in the new garden. I did some work there after he left. The bean plants are sprouting and so are the broccoli seeds.

I found more tomato seeds today. Manual and I will have fun with these. One of the advantages that I tend to forget is that I have access to so many seeds that are not available here. And I'm very lucky that Manual's wife Araley is a friend and doesn't worry that I have designs on her husband. He speaks quite a bit of English, she doesn't. My Spanish is getting better and I can talk plants to her. I like both of them.

Two sacha incha plants that I started while I was on the road have successfully started their new lives in the new garden. It is a perennial nut which is high in vitamins. I read about it at Sunfood and then found the seeds on eBay. That's how I met Jesse my new friend in Costa Rica.

Whlle doing a little clean up today I remembered where I had put some paint I've been looking for. And it was still there. Another miracle.

I also rode my exercise bike twice.

Amma will be in San Ramon (near San Franscisco) sometime in mid to late November. I'm also supposed to see the knee doctor then. I'm still kind of wiped out so I don't know if I'll be able to make the trip but I don't have to decide now.

Had to go pick Bryn up at school, she has a headache and just feels lousy. So I'm postponing the plasma donation until this afternoon. Still have a check-up with Doc at 2:15 that I can't miss. Sure am dreading getting on that scale!

Oooohhhh not really any simple instructions. It's a two day process for both the stems and the caps. If you really want to try it, d-mail me cause I don't want to take up a lot with all you must do.

Joyce, was able to read it as well..lovely, brought a tear to my eye! No better garden could that tribute bench be put..sure looks fall in your neck of the woods then I read Susan has snow..yikes, not looking forward to it.

After the work Kyle and I did raking, all loss, drats the wind and rain covered the lawn with leaves again..sooo much work!! Maybe tonight I will call Noah up the street and ask if he needs to earn some $$$, perhaps he has a friend as well that could use a few $$

Afternoon everyone. Cookie, that is a beautiful bench!!!!

Understand about going to the doctor and those dreaded scales. I am absolutely positive my doc's are broken as I can't possibly have gained that much weight!!! LOL I do have a follow up visit tomorrow to go over all the results of the test while in the hospital but otherwise feeling really good.

Took Kim for a root canal that was worse than anticipated. The xray last Thursday showed a crack but today it was almost to the gum line and when they got into the tooth there was infection. Not good but she is sleeping now so maybe it will be better when she gets up. Sure hope so!!

Hope Kim gets lots of rest, and heals soon.

Major snow storm today - went to my last employers to pick up my stuff, hand off the security fob, and get my time sheet signed. If I hadn't had to do that and pick packages up at the PO, I wouldn't have gone out!! Very "greasy" out, and difficult to change lanes with the snow ruts! They're so cold that it's difficult so you almost have to hit the gas pedal, plus you hit greasy spots and that makes it worse.
Gas/Brake......... repeat...
but, I'm home safe now.

Just got back from the Dr. Scale said what I thought it was going to, he didn't harp at me though...I do have to go back Thursday morning for a fasting blood test to check my cholesterol. It's been 2 years since I had one and he says I'm over due. I'm off now for plasma. On my way before, son called and asked that I go pick up granddaughter at school cause she didn't feel well. (She's 13) I was going to drop her off at her house to rest on the couch, but she asked if she could come home with me, and what could I say??????? ;o)

I'll try to post the instructions later, and try to make sense of what I'm writing!

Lordy, NOT going to the doctor's weighing this much, shaking my head nope..can't understand though why I'm still fitting into a lot of same clothes..they must be good quality, very expandible lol
