Yaaaaaaaaay - our Motorhome is in my parking spot at home!! Either tonight or tomorrow I'll get to the Office to see about a spot in the compound.

Betty, Sunday is supposed to be bitter cold so make sure you all bring warm clothes.
Saturday they are talking winds and rain. OH BOY....Sure hope this isn't a bad weekend.

yuppers!! Peter's cleared it out of stuff he wants, but now I have to clean it....... like the microwave, and the fridge (hasn't been cleaned since a year ago when he and his wife (now passed away) went camping in 2011.
I'm THRILLED to have it here. He's left it completely outfitted with dishes, pots & pans, tin foil, and water, heck anything that's non-perishable - even spices! Two fuel tanks - one full, and the other 1/4 full! Two batteries only 3 years old...... propane
He just called me - apparently when he took his house keys off the 2nd set of keys, he just pocketed the rest of them... lol I'm seeing him tonight at Choir Practice, so I'll get them then.
omygoodness - been so busy with Church, and motorhome that I haven't begun to clear out the den, for Saturday's work.... well, choir practice tonight won't allow for that, so will need to do it tomorrow.
btw - I'm going to Joannabanana's home tomorrow to pick up a lily that she's giving me "in remembrance of Carol" sweet, eh? So that's part of the am, and then To Work On The Den lol

Can't keep up to you Susan. Lol. You are one busy lady..working on nerves I'm sure.

Got to love it, I've as many tools if not more than most men..Greg just came, needed rug put on 2x8 for the boat trailer, knows mom has a compressor and commercial air stapler..got to use it here as I know I'll never get it back if it's at his house..the old adage. Possession is 9/10ths of the law. Lol. Took all of 5 minutes..now I have to put it Bach as he is on a mission!

Debbie, dats to the weather, wouldn't you know it..Winds are high here and it's cold, never mind jackets, snowmobile suits might be better..even if they could have a few hours of it Saturday. Thanks to you they have the hotel water features to play in, not as exciting and they will be disappointed but what can you do

No, it's definitely Not working on my nerves. As a matter of fact, I'm getting more relaxed. I've handed a bunch of stuff "over to The Lord" and it's done me a world of good.

AS HE WALKS INTO THE HOUSE HE NOTICES THAT THE STEPS ARE ALREADY FIXED.

AS HE ENTERS THE HOUSE , HE SEES THE HALL LIGHT IS WORKING

AS HE GOES TO GET A BEER, HE NOTICES THE FRIDGE DOOR IS FIXED.

HONEY, HE ASKS, HOW'D ALL THIS GET FIXED? SHE SAID, WELL, WHEN YOU LEFT I SAT OUTSIDE AND CRIED

JUST THEN A NICE YOUNG MAN ASKED ME WHAT WAS WRONG, AND I TOLD HIM.

HE OFFERED TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS, AND ALL I HAD TO DO WAS EITHER GO TO BED WITH HIM OR BAKE A CAKE.

HE SAID, SO WHAT KIND OF CAKE DID YOU BAKE?

Got to tell you I almost feel important..young paper boy just came and hand delivered my paper..I could see he has no other, his route is done but he makes a special trip just for the $2 I give him..lol

I........just.........got..........given...... an elliptical! Our next door neighbours are 82 & 66 (she's got 2 artificial knees and he says he just can't Use it anymore), so they've given it to me for free!!
I'm not sure what to make of these past 2 days...... something's happening in my life......

What ever you are doing keep doing it. Guess you will be hanging upside down with the elliptical??

LOL Betty!! An elliptical is that "striding" machine...... they say it's heavy, so will need to wait until Bob gets home to bring it over. It folds up. It's one of these, and I'm not sure which one cuz I saw it behind some stuff at their place, and all folded up. They're anywhere from $400 to $2700! I expect this one is mid-range. They never buy cheap, but they're not frivolous with their $$ either.

s'ok, when they offered it to me, and they described it, they were surprised I even knew what one was. I'll have to take it slow though, cuz I've used one at the gym, and actually got dizzy with it. I think it was just because I was going too fast and I did that because the Trainer was watching....... This way I can work up to it and should be fine. I love walking, after all!!

Susan, sounds like your prayers are being answered, and things are going your way for a change! Can't wait to see the motor home.

Betty - so thought about you today.... seemed like I parked in literally the SAME parking spot as when we visited....

My appt was pushed back so had time in the French Quarter and here I was in my work clothes and presentation material on me... could NOT have fun or enjoy it... people all around laughing taking pictures....
very surreal....

Mary, Dianne has taken off to the vast unknown and traveling with a few other DG'ers. She is fine and having a good time I think. Right now in NC.

I am terribly upset she didn't ask me to babysit Diesel and Quill!!!

So glad to hear she is getting out and having fun!

So am I, she deserves it so....however the crew she is traveling with are nothing but trouble. I am waiting for a 911 call to help them get into trouble...OHHHH I mean to get them OUT of trouble. lol

How right you are LindaKay..just did bit of dusting and the floors, now ready to head to the craft room, wouldn't mind seeing I'm tying the memory quilt to get it all but done today. Have to make sure I've all in Thunder's package for posting tomorrow, pack up bare minimum for trip, little car, 5 size adults, little trunk..that will all but fill the day..never know who might drop in and voila, change in plans. Lol

It's a real fall day here, always feels so peaceful when trees are changing color, so quiet with all the children in school..sun just peeking through the leaves.Perfect kind of day..

Knew it was Amtrak, just didn't know if she had to drive into Chicago and if it was a direct one stop trip or a lot of change overs? Great you all have such a travel system..wish we did...ours cost more than taking a plane or paying for gas.

Did I ever mention that my name, Susan, means "Lily"? And a neighbour of mine also gave me a lily. Guess I have 2 to plant in my front garden now :-)

That is wonderful Susan that you have a lily of hers..lody they almost made $10 k for the foundation she wanted to support..sure miss her!

I wanted to pay for it, to donate to the Calgary Horticultural Society, but Joanne said it was already paid for. Apparently there were a lot of perennials that were paid for and no one picked them up, so I was fortunate enough to get one of those.
Joanne's a real sweetheart to think of me...... so thoughtful of her, but then that's usual for her. She's a very thoughtful person.

Betty, might want to think about a new thread before you leave for NY....we are over 235 here already!!!
