I read there is not much they can do if you have west nile virus, just be careful and go back to the Dr. if you develop any more of the symptoms please?
Betty, we have always had guns in the house, we were raised around them! I don't know if the escapee's are dangerous criminals or not! They have not said anything on the news about them!

I'm not sure what "state charges" are, but federal charges sounds like they're nasty, but not murderers. And it sounds like "state charges" are lesser than "federal crimes.". Maybe they're tax evaders lol
Hopefully they escaped because they didn't have tight security for non-dangerous offenders..........

Betty, #3 son still working at country club, but he is on vacation this week, as his brother is home, and my Momma is here ^_^ He took the time off, knowing my Momma was going to come down, and knowing I would not have any extra time off...as I just used up my vacation to go see soldier, and to go to sailors graduation...they have a very special relationship, my youngest and his Nana...

Was a cold one..raining until I got to near Barrie. No rain for so long and now it seems rain every few days.

Brought in some blackboards to paint, would have loved to help Suzanne re rag quilts but my machine is just tooo heavy to tote to work, just gabbing with a woman from kijiji who has a Kenmore, says like new and wants $75. would be a great 2nd machine..let's hope we can come up with a time today to meet up with her!

Any news about the prisoners, have they caught some? wouldn't you think some would turn themselves in?

I doubt they would turn themselves in. I have not heard the news this morning, so I don't know if they have caught any or not.

I've been so busy. Doesn't seem I have a day to do just gardening. Oh well, guess it's keeping me out of trouble. I joined another garden club....geesh, just what I needed. Well, they meet during the day and they are such a nice group of ladies. We had a picnic (but it ended up being at one members house because of the weather forecast) and I took the sauerkraut/potato casserole. It was a hit, but my friend took the Kahlua cake and that was THE hit! Had to sit and write recipes after we ate. Next month this group is going to a sculpture park (64) and then lunch. It's a bus tour, thank goodness because the park is 265 acres!

Today is the girls day out lunch. We'll be celebrating one birthday. I got a really pretty vase and that should have been enough...but nooooo I had to go and get silk flowers and do an arrangement and THAT should have been enough, but noooo I had to get some of those cute little lights to put in it. too. We usually spend about $20.00...I'm not going to tell you how much I spent!!!! Bertie's birthday is this month, too. I already have her gifts. Next month we'll celebrate her birthday with the luncheon cause her day is the 30th of this month and the other girl is the 6th.

Tomorrow, I'm riding with a lady from my other garden club to Columbus. She's in her 80's and has a bad habit of falling asleep when she drives. I couldn't let her drive there by herself cause she has to leave by 7:00 am. Plus, since she's teaching an Ikibana flower arranging class, I can help her take all of the greenery in when we get there. So it's a go, go, go week!

Is it another garden group you joined, lordy girl, you'll never be home or out of the garden..great way to heal the heart though..love you too!!! I treasure the friends I've made here.

Seems like yesterday it was Bertie's birthday, best tell her to slow down but do wish her Happy Birthday on the 30th.

Know what you mean, I often say I'll do a little something, cheaper but nicer..then, it ends up costing more $$ wise plus time to do it..enjoy it though.

Betty, yes they did bring in extra forces from surrounding cities!

I agree - anyone who breaks out of prison is highly unlikely to turn themselves in, otherwise what's the point of breaking out in the first place?

Thunder - I know you're 2 hours ahead of me, so what's a good time (your time) to call???

My thoughts is that when that many break out, several may have been pushed into it or might have had to pay the consequences of inmates..once out, second thoughts!!! my theory ..

Told Monday I wasn't earning my keep, maybe I should only work a few days..said nope, I wasn't getting out of work that easy!

Picked up the sewing machine, will take it to work tomorrow and leave it there..does straight sewing, runs well, can't expect much more for $75. - doesn't weigh much so now I'll be all set.

Lordy, know you've all had one of those nights where you have a hot bath,hot chocolate and as you get tucked under the sheets you just breath a sigh, day is over and your bed feels like the best place you could ever be?

Kitties are outside, we're inside all day, here's hoping they'll settle on back deck tonight and out of harms way.

As the weekend approaches I'm wondering how I'll make out spending 10 hrs in a theme park is the weather remains cold..young ones can adapt, old gals I'm not so sure.

Thinks are rough here right now , not been a good week at all.

Susan, my work schedule is crazy ! ! morning shift, then night shift, then mid shift....etc.... I work 8-5 tomorrow so I should be home a little after 5:30, as far as I know I will be home all eve. next day I work 1-10 pm, so will be home in the morning. probably get up about 8....

Good old fashion parenting, don't recall anything ever getting broken..I'd take their toys, of course they would want it back, would say that is yours then pick up something of mine and say 'and this is my toy'

Had a nightmare, guess going with the boys was on my mind..did dream that I wasn't paying attention, in an accident and killed all 5 of us..couldn't get back to sleep!!! hate these dreams

Oh, I hate those dreams too! After I had my accident, I had nightmares of that accident over and over, but it was much worse in my dreams!

Funny what the mind can do..brought that Kenmore sewing machine in, doing sewing for Suzanne's rag quilt..working like a charm..guess I'll have a stop to Walmart next week to drop that piece of plastic off..lol

I am hoping that I arrive at the Clarion around 11-11:30 Saturday morning just to check in and back to Darien Lake Theme Park IF not raining otherwise we'll stay at hotel.

On Sunday, am hoping the kids can use indoor water features till about 2:00 or so then homeward bound

I know you are not up to it Debbie, please don't feel you must meet up with me..always another weekend.
